Kids party was amazing the lady definitely knew what she was doing kind considerate nothing was to much trouble above and beyond

Called in before local film booking for dinner. Good welcome and friendly staff. Ordered food served without delays and tasty although my own Calonone was a little bland and really think should have been served with more than a single green leaf. Partners meal was tasty but again only comprised two aubergines in sauce without any accompaniment. Just as well that I ordered a separate side of thin cut fries. Desserts of cheesecake were both good although I though pricey for small portions served. Overall, would I return for a second visit - not sure as there are many more more authentic Italian venues locally.

Love the place, the atmosphere, the service, and the pizza is just amazing. Best pizza ever. Vegan pizzas and gluten free also available.

The four of us visited on Friday 21st Feb 2025. We were looked after from the minute we got there to the minute we left. The food was delicious, great ambience, friendly staff. We will definitely be revisiting soon and recommending to friends!

Today my husband and I were in Hailsham and stopped by this lovely little place. We didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. From the first sip of espresso I knew we found a little gem. This family run ( from Bologna) restaurant is everything you would want in a neighbourhood eatery. A warm welcome, excellent service and delicious food. It may have been our first visit; but it won’t be our last.

Food is good as always, but staff seemed to have changed recently and not as friendly or helpful as before. We always enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff interaction but it’s not what it was.

I took my 4 and 2yr old grandchildren for a treat. They were able to make their own pizzas, The dough was brought to them on a tray they made it to the size they wanted then put tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni on it before watching it go in the oven. They were absolutely thrilled to make it and then eat it in a restaurant. The staff were brilliant very friendly and competent and went out of their way to make it a fun experience Will definitely be taking my other 2 grandchildren to enjoy the experience

Pizza is great, wine served in tumbler (which is authentic in some parts of Italy ) but pinot grigio served not chilled wasn't good .

i got sad because of food but then odilio anglil came form the door and cooked the food for us it was amazing i started crying my coworking started crying

Went on Saturday night after having a great time last year. The place was heaving which is good to know seeing as 2 other places have recently shut down in Hailsham. Even though it was busy the manager Dale was really accommodating and went above and beyond to accommodate us. This guy is born to be in hospitality. A real credit to the company

Went back to Rustico Hailsham to see if they’d improved somewhat, I’m a man who gives fair chances! Sad to say they’re still painfully bad, and bring shame to the concept of italian food. Please don’t waste your money.

Ate here a few weeks ago on a Wednesday night so it wasn't to busy but it had a lovely friendly atmosphere and the service was very quick, we ordered pizzas and some sides and all of it was delicious. Would definitely come here again.

Haven't been to rustico for ages due to bad experience. Friends wanted to come here so we have it another go on Sunday. The restaurant seems to be under new management. Dale I think is the general manager is friendly bubbly and his service is out of this world. Annie and Evie also served us and was also friendly with great service. The layout of the restaurant has changed and now offers a little private area. This restaurant has completely transformed our minds about rustico and we will definitely be back again. Definitely 100% recommended

I am ONLY writing this review as after the slow, service I received last week, the waitress Charlotte (?) pestered me into writing a review, presumably unaware of how un-enjoyable my service truly was. Food was okay, fries were forgotten but the situation was quickly rectified , pizza was nice in flavour but came out cold and my wife was unhappy with her pizza as was burnt on sides. Asked for mayo, it never came. No music , just kitchen clattering. All in all, not a terrible establishment , great if you’re on a budget and want something mildly better than a mcdonald’s but otherwise, it’s no location to long for.

Excellent pizza, excellent service from Tim. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the beer being barely chilled (beer has to be cold). Buy a new fridge PLEASE.

Excellent as usual. Food was very tasty - pizzas are delicious with plenty of toppings. Great for families and good value. Our server lily was excellent

Amazing Italian street food that I have never had the opportunity to try before. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, excellent waiting staff. So many menu choices I can't wait to try - pizza's looked amazing. Really good value too, 5 small plates and a couple of drinks £33 and worth every penny.

Good family meal for myself and my two teenage boys, served by Lily. Good food and good service and a variety of new things for us to try ahead of going to Italy later this year.

We enjoyed our meal at Hailsham Rustic, we were going to the cinema soon after and the food was quick to be delivered and delicious. Thank you to Evie who served brilliantly.

We really loved Rustico in Hailsham. Food was very delicious and at a great price: pizza is BUONISSIMA and authentic, like the "melanzane alla parmigiana" (A MUST!) The service was great, and staff was very friendly, especially Ellie who went above and beyond her duties to make us feel welcome. We'll be back for sure

My wife, two daughters (10 and 7) and I ate at Hailsham Rustico early evening on a Wednesday. My eldest said it had "good vibes and good mood" and she wasn't wrong. A chilled out casual, welcoming interior which was immediately family friendly but also would be suitable for a date night. We were pointed towards a selection of games after our orders were taken which delighted my daughters and made waiting time fly past. The food was very well priced and excellent with plenty of choice. However the best thing about the meal was without doubt the waitress Ellie who was friendly, charming, welcoming, helpful, the perfect amount of chatty/familiar and excellent with adults and children alike. We all really liked her. Thanks to all at Hailsham Rustico and especially Ellie!

What a fantastic service! Ellie , our waitress for the evening, was very attentive and helpful! Very accommodating to allergens and how hot it was with providing a fan! Definitely will be coming back!!

This is our favourite Rustico, consistently good food and always friendly staff. Ellie looked after us brilliantly thank you.
