Rustico Hastings in Hastings

Pre theatre meal. Food good and service very attentive staff, in particular Laura, who was efficient, friendly and bubbly. Booked for 6pm and out in plenty of time to get to the White Rock, which is a gentle 5 minute walk away.

Regular costumer for over 6 years but never received on delivery food so bad quality and with no meatballs on a pasta. Quality went down a lot over the years that’s a shame never order again. Hope food get improved

Food and service was great. We had a Hawaiian pizza, puttanesca and pomodoro pasta even my 7 year old enjoyed it. Ambience was relaxed and chilled.

Rustico's gluten free bases are easily the best out of all I've tried. My pizza was very tasty and a decent size. For once I didn't feel like I was missing out. Tina our server was lovely and friendly. Great all round 👏

Quite possibly the best gluten free and vegan pizza I've had. The gluten free dough is amazing and they have some brilliant topping combos.

Great place for a quick bite or a longer dinner. Courtney was a great server and did a wonderful job explaining the menu. I am a foodie and have been to Naples and this is basically identical to the real deal. I would absolutely recommend this amazing restaurant!

It is my deepest dream and desire to visit each and every Rustico before I die. As I write, this is number three so I have quite a way to go. Hastings Rustico has it all: poetry, passion and pizza. Suffice it to say, I had a pizza and poetry and passion followed shortly after.

Discovered this place last year, while on a day trip to the seaside with my teenage boys. We absolutely loved the pizza (Diablos, Rustico and Pepperoni pizzas) and pasta (Polpette tortellini) dishes. The pizzas are just perfect wood fired oven Italian style with thin base and bulging light fluffy crusts… perfect for soaking up the delicious garlic and chilli oils on the side. We’ve been back many times since and always enjoyed our dinner at Rustico before heading back to the car for the drive home. On our most recent visit to Rustico Hastings, we tried the Battilocchio (a deep fried calzone pizza) perfect for two to share for a starter, which had a unique tasting pastry, similar to a freshly cooked hot doughnut! Really tasty.

Come to Hastings for the weekend and very unsure where to eat, found this little gem! The servers Emma and Josh were very nice and attentive to our needs.we had pasta and garlic bread which was the best Italian food we have ever had! Never arrived, had to call restaurant they diddnt see the order they had to start making it from scratch, tired and hungry children were not happy, when it was delivered it was wrong order too should be a refund or some sort of compensation.

What is the employee here angry about? It was the most unpleasant service out of all British restaurants. This restaurant should not receive a high rating as long as there are female employees who don't answer even when you ask, call, or ask for anything, and don't respond. The pizza was delicious, but the spaghetti tasted like the tomato sauce you can buy at the supermarket.

Wyszysko was very good, one Pole actually looks like an average room inside but the food is delicious, we were 8 people and everyone liked the margarita pizza, good pasta boloneze, good and a lot of other interesting things to sit down and once again, very good food

What’s made a different at this place to others similars, it is the attention of all staff, they are really focus in trying to give you a unique service. Pizza was very tasty and freshly made. Nice place to visit again.

Booked last minute as a large booking of 20 was fantastic!! The waitresses were polite and attentive and even the manager showed us how they made the pizza! Was a great experience and the kids loved it! Food was Devine best pizza we have ever had!

Disappointing pizza. Having eaten a few times at various Rustico's, including this one I was quick to recommend eating here for lunch yesterday with my husband. We both ordered the 9" pizzas which came with fries. Both pizzas were pretty burnt, and on reflection we should have sent them back. We tried to eat around the burnt bits but found the charcoal taste really took away from what could've been very nice pizzas. The manager brought the food over to us and to be honest we were both surprised he had allowed it to leave the kitchen. No one asked how our food was and after sitting there for 10 minutes after we had clearly finished we had to waive down the waitress to ask for the bill. Unfortunately, we are unlikely to return.

Sloppy food with only a passing resemblance to once proud Italian origins - Mamma Rustico must be turning in her grave. Fried aubergines drowned in passata does not a melanzane make, tiramisù is a ‘let down’ and coffees merely frothy water. Barely raises a smile, like their service.

The food was cold and not good. The chips was stone cold and the pizza was cold and very dry and hard. This is the second time I ordered food from Rustico, and the second time i have been disappointed. I will never order food from them again.

Had heard such good things about this place but came away a bit disappointed. Good pizza, awful side salad. Literally a bowl of soggy leaves from a salad bag with two slices of tasteless tomato and a tasteless dressing. It cost £2.95? There must be a huge profit in that. My friend ordered a pasta dish that apparently contained sausages Which was very small and again a bit tasteless. When we walked in the server was far from friendly or welcoming but we ended up being served by somebody who was friendly and helpful. Drinks were great. Won’t be in a rush to return unfortunately. I hope this place isn’t getting complacent……

Great food - have been to several Rusticos (there are 9 in total I think) just because I love the really interesting street food they do - and it's always great in every restaurant. Love the Aperol Spritz too!

The place had a very bohemian vibe to it, art filled walls and very paid back, looked promising on entry. the place was not busy, 1 table was being served, standing at the door to waiting to be greeted and told where we may sit, 1 min, 2 min, 3 min, look to catch servers eyes or even the person in the kitchen, none whatsoever, not even an acknowledgement of "will be with you in a min". Walked.

The food was great. We did the lunch deal, which was value for money. Order from the main menu if you are hungry, though. The restaurant is a bit of a squeeze, so bear in mind if you are a large group.

One food container was damaged - partly crushed and the pizza was squashed in its box. Food cold.

As a asian food lover we are always looking for cheesy and spicy-food . Though pizza is not much spicy as I expect but it was so good. I love the way they are making pizza. Me and my wife were enjoyed it so much. This is the best pizza I ever had in Uk (i’ve been living uk in last 4month only) If i was living in this area in future I’ll buy again from them.

I’ve been going here for years & it used to be really good. Tonight I waited 30 mins in an empty (one other table) restaurant and the pizza had 3 tiny anchovies and 4 capers on it. I handed it back & walked out. Such a shame.

Went on a Tuesday evening and service was really fast, pizza arrived in 5 mins, and I loved it. Ordered a Margherita pizza with extra olives, it was thin and fresh and tasted heavenly. Atmosphere is warm & cozy

Food finally delivered two hours after ordering. Delivery driver went to wrong place and never appeared. I'd given her clear instructions when she called and she said that I would have to come out the flat and get it due to parking. I have an injured foot and in a top flat so said that wasn't possible. She hung up. Tried to call resteraunt. Eventually got through. I finally got delivery from the actual manager who went on foot to my door. Apparently it was a busy night. That is not good enough, I love 5 minutes away and it should not take that long ever to get a pizza. This is not the first time it's been ridiculously late. The food is also not as good as it used to be. Terrible service from just eat driver and lateness was ridiculous

First night in Hastings after 5-hour drive from Devon (Chagford) was made relaxingly special, thanks to the perfect pizza, wine and happy service. Kudos to Kezia and the Team. As local as local gets. Casual, welcoming ambience. Happy to return as time allows. A++

Got a lasagne, absolutely disgusting tasted like it was frozen and stuck in a microwave.

The food is really good, and great value. The decor is traditional and enjoyable, but unfortunately the service was without a smile and wasn’t particularly welcoming.

This was a great evening, Hastings Bonfire night, and Rustico near the start of the parade. We had a bar-style table looking out onto the street, the atmosphere as we watched the different groups in the parade assemble, and people being given free cookies and hot-chocolate across the street by Holy Trinity Hastings, was wonderful. The service and was good and considering the busyness of the evening, amazingly quick. We'll done Rustico!

The Vegetariana pizza here is the best I've ever eaten, and the coffee is to die for too! Went here for the first time a couple of years ago and made a point to come back because the food was so good. Really friendly staff, nice cozy restaurant with outdoor seating. Would highly recommend :)

Excellent food with an authentic Italian vibe, genuinely lovely people and very reasonably priced. Also the only place I have ever found that does a tomato-free pizza, as a pizza-lover suddenly allergic to tomatoes I am in heaven. Everyone I have taken here loves it, even the picky eaters. You will be full up, but oh my gosh try to leave some space for dessert.

Wrong pizzas totally - cold and no refund!

Part of a local chain and so menu, and general atmosphere, décor is the same as their other Rustico branches (which is great). This is a rather small branch with just a handful of tables, but we hadn't booked and were able to grab a table without issue. Opted for the Cannibale pizza this time around and it was cooked well and loaded with toppings. Can always recommend Rustico.

Lovely little restaurant, cosy, nice ambience. Fabulous pizza and the young lady Emma that served my Wife and I, she was lovely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended if you love a good authentic pizza. Reasonably priced too.

Me and my mother often visit this restaurant and we always leave feeling better than when we first arrived .The foods delicious,Emma is a fantastic server.

Pizza never arrived. No one answers the phone or replies to email. Shocking. I will call in the morning for a refund. It's now over an hour after we were expecting delivery.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Pizza was lovely. Good variety of drinks available including Sparkling Coffee ! My 5 year old grand daughter loved the music and sitting in the window seats. Good value for money . Friendly service. Definitely going back.

We went here for dinner on the off-chance and we were so happy we found this little gem! Food is authentic! Having been to Italy many times, rustico is true to it's meaning, pizzas are wonderful! The service in here was on point! We had Jack who worked our table, he was attentive, very lovely young man sporting a very trendy mullet, he really made a top effort with drinks and service with a smile. Lovely to see someone who really cares about the customers needs! High recommend coming here for an authentic pizza and outstanding service! Thank you Jack and Rustico! We will be coming again very soon!
