This place is absolutely fantastic. We were visiting friends and popped down the road for some drinks and snacks.. such a happy surprise. Quality of the food and cocktails (accidentally ended up finishing up a bottle of Tattinger as well), was up there with some lovely wine bars we have been to in Europe and the weather to match it this weekend. Bettet than so many Wine and Cocktail bars in London.. Lovely atmosphere and run so well by the two lovely ladies. Will definitely have to visit our friends more just to come back here !!

This is a special place to enjoy wine and food with friends or family. There is always a warm friendly welcome. There is a variety of wine, cocktails and beers on offer to meet most tastes. It’s worth reserving a table as it does get busy and it’s not a large establishment but that is the beauty of it as the cosy atmosphere adds to your experience. We are lucky to have this place on our doorstep and would highly recommend a visit.

We had my wife’s belated 50th party last week at this fantastic wine bar. Susan and Ally are brilliant hosts which made it even better, they real know how to engage with people and run an event. Food excellent as always, beers, wines and Gins the same, music great (Irish rover!) everyone had a great time. Our friends and family from Peterborough, London, Bristol and the South Coast all said what a great place/hosts. We often visit on a Saturday which is just the same experience, best place in Deeping by far, thanks again. Apello and a Punk! Thanks very much for everything, Robbie.

Even in these COVID times Notty’s is wonderful calm, safe place to be. They have a good range of wine, lovely platters of food, a great atmosphere and friendly staff. If you are looking for a night out with girlfriends look no further than Notty’s....the drinks are first class whether you want a soft drink, cocktail, a flavoured gin, nice bottle of wine or hit chocolate or coffee they have everything covered and you don’t even have to go to the bar! The food is excellent too, meat, cheese platters are a very civilised way to share food with friends. The atmosphere is always buzzing, the owners are great fun and know how to give the punters a good night.

I just love the formal informality of a coffee/wine bar with a small food menu and a well balanced wine and gin offer. Freshly baked quiche and a ploughman’s platter did the trick all served up with a smile and bucket of excellent ambience. What a nice place.

My wife and I decided we wanted something to eat as we felt peckish and so decided to come to this establishment. When we walked in, my thoughts were nostalgic, and certainly lives to it's name of Rustic. It's not old fashioned, quite modern and felt the décor was great for this establishment. There are far too many places that use block colours and paint, and was very nice to see this place to do it their own way which we felt worked really well.We sat down, and ordered a cappuccino and just a coke, as we were driving and so didn't have any of their wine; which by the way, they have a brilliant choice of.We did have a panini each, and although they were busy, I felt the waiting time was reasonable, especially since the food was fresh, including the paninis themselves. The owners were conversational despite being busy, which added the personal touch. Some previous reviewers stated that they are trying to be posh and then stated that the food was pretentious; my response is, they clearly don't know what they are talking about!Another reviewer said "It's a very different type of style for a little market Deeping town more for when you are on holiday abroad style if that's what people are after today."Firstly, Market Deeping is an old market town, and so this fits in perfectly and secondly I am glad it is different, that's what makes it attractive and grabs attention.Although the place is small, it's a small diamond in the rough!

After the chores a quick wander around market deeping, a visit into the local antique shop (always worth a root) and maybe a quick drink and a light lunch? There was a temptation to roll into one of the usual pubs, all fine, but the open door of Rustic beckoned. We've walked by many times, it's small and always seems busy, did you need to book? You'll never know unless you have a go!Small, quirky eclectic style, every table and chair different with some interesting decor Wine list is really quite nice, something for everyone; in addition they have spirits, beer, specialist teas and coffees. So a large Sauvignon Blanc and Malbec in readiness to a trio of Bruschetta and a plowman's. Both served well, tasty and fresh. Even though the portions were fine, we couldn't resist the sweet stuff.Walnut butter cream cake and chocolate fudge cake and cream - oh my!Home made, slices large enough to stop a charging rhino - another wine for sure but as I was driving I opted for a tea - nice leaf tea, real China - nice touch.Owners were very nice, attentive and engaging. After chatting we were informed that they've got wine tasting evenings, cocktail evenings ........hmmm We will certainly be going again. It seems very busy Fri/Sat evenings so I assume booking is important .All this for £35 - fine by me!Definitely be going back.

We went to Rustic following a terrible experience at a restaurant in Stamford. We went in about 9.30 just hoping to share a bottle of wine, not realising that they had a special valentines menu on. The menu looked lovely and we asked if they had any petit fours left. They didn't have the full selection but gave us some samples of shortbread and brownies on the house. We always have a bottle of the cotes de rhone villages when we go and it never disappoints. Plus the personal service from Martin and Roz is faultless.

My second visit this Christmas and a definite 'go to' place in Deeping. The venue is perfect for one on one chats with friends or small groups. The venue is intimate and that's what makes this place perfect. I live in Canada and work in the restaurant service industry. Service is everything in North America and this place would easily fit in there. Food was very well portioned and priced. It was the most exciting menu I have seen in Deeping. Returned with a friend who was visiting from abroad. Chef was off we were told. Both staff members were nice and polite. I had pate, a rather small portion, had to ask for butter. Friend had platter, which was a more substantial portion. I still wouldn't give it more than an 'average' score. Maybe we need to return when chef is back. £25 for basic lunch, 2 cokes and 2 coffees. Very pricey for what we got.

As a wine bar/bistro Rustic has a limited menu, but an excellent wine list. I have eaten here before and knew the service could be a little tricky. However I booked as my Mother and I just fancied an easy night out for a special occasion.Firstly I rang on Sunday and left a message for a booking, I had heard nothing until Thursday when I had to contact them again. I was told that yes the booking had been put in the diary but nobody apologised for not confirming this.We arrived on time and were told somebody else was sat in the seats which wasn't a problem. Nobody came to ask us if we would like a drink for about 15minutes, at which point I went to the bar and was told she was just coming to take the order.I proceeded to ask for the Mezza and was told they didn't have any (it is not an extensive menu so I would have thought dips would be easy enough)We finally ordered pate, cheeseboard and an antipasti plate and a bottle of wine. When the wine was brought we were told it wasn't very cold as it had been in the chiller but not for long( it is a WINE BAR).The wine was not very chilled at all. The food was lovely but to be honest it was cheese, cold meat, olives, bread etc I could have managed that at home)All in all a very amateurish service. It is not a large establishment and there were 4 people working. I would advise not going on a Friday night if you do decide to go as I'm not sure they could cope. I do not normally leave poor reviews but I was very disappointed. I do live in the area but not sure I will be going back.

We have been trying to visit Rustic over the last few weeks since it has opened, but never have quite made it, so when it was our Wedding Anniversary on Wednesday we decided there was no time like the present and headed down for a quick lunch to see what all the fuss was about! The deli is cosy - but beautifully decorated - all very rustic with the most amazing products for sale. We particularly liked the fact that many of the products were local. As we were literally popping in for a quick bite to eat, we sat at the bar, and we both ordered Carpaccio & goats cheese salads from their specials menu. As it was a special occasion we shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and well priced. The wine was crisp and ice cold - everything that you would expect from a Pinot - so much so, we ordered another bottle!! (And then ANOTHER one - we were having such a good time we just didn't want to leave!)The owners Martyn & Ross couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They've only been open a matter of weeks and openly admit that it's been a learning curve, but what perfect hosts they are. I highly recommend visiting this place. The owners are passionate about the people of Deeping, and they are doing everything they can to make Rustic a one stop shop for the community. Give it a go - you don't know what you're missing! Thanks Ross & Martyn - we'll be back!

I have now visited Rustic three times and had drinks and food on each occasion. The new owners and idea's people behind this project is the lovely Rosamund and Martyn. For local people you will remember them as the owners for years of Pets Pantry in Market Deeping. The service, realiablity and friendship they provided was next to non. They have a lot of history in the town. People visiting RUSTIC should take into account that this is their first venture into this type of business and I consider that old fashioned patience should come into play! They are on a huge learning curve all of them so give them a break! Market Deeping is so lucky again to have such a classy Deli and Wine Bar in the town centre. RUSTICS complements all the other eating, drinking establishments in the centre without falling out with the other establishments. This is a niche they have found and I am convinced that RUSTICS will go from strength to strengh in the future. Their cheese boards and the lovely choice of wines are to die for. Who needs London and the big Cities when Deeping has it's own fantastic Deli and Wine Bar? As a Senior Trip Advisor I respectfully suggest that the "one- off" reviewers, which I question as opposition, give constructive views not destructive views. Keep up the good work Martyn, Rosamund and staff. You won't keep me away!

A group of us made a visit to Rustic but was sadly disappointed as we waiting absolutely ages for our order. My order was very overpriced for what I received. The staff were friendly and the surroundings pleasant, but the food and drink is what customers come for.

I nipped in to Rustic for a coffee this afternoon & was really pleased I did! It was cosy, not too busy & not too quiet. I ordered a platter which came with warm bread, olives, artichokes, meats & sun dried tomatoes...& the cappuccino was nicely strong. The staff were friendly & the whole atmosphere was just right. They also sell some great cheeses amongst other yummy items & it was nice to be able to buy local honey. I couldn't quite believe was in Deeping & will definitely go back!

We believe in supporting new local businesses, but sadly this was very disappointing. Rustic had only been open for a couple of days, but they simply did not seem to be ready for the kind of interest that a new venue creates. It seemed to be a challenge to find the wines we had ordered. There did not seem to be any system of organising for prioritising orders or a system of communicating orders to the kitchen. We waited for nearly an hour for a cheese platter and when a couple who walked in long after us were served within 10 minutes of their arrival, we simply gave up, paid for our glasses of wine and left. Giving us the wine 'on the house' would have been a nice gesture in the circumstances. Very disappointing, potentially a good place to go but a lot of lessons in running a wine bar/café need to be learned first.

Visited this pub for the first time, was amazed that all the food was home cooked, cannot remember the last time I’ve been in a pub that didn’t microwave everything, I had steak and ale pie, was really nice, portions were also big, you won’t be hungry and the prices are great. I live guiness, hard to find a decent pint outside Ireland, this is hands down the best guiness I’ve had in this area!!

Just ordered a sauage abd mushroom baguette. Awful greasy mushrooms that tasted and smelt like old oil. Totally spoilt my baguette as the oil soaked into the bread. No butter at all too.

Very nice spot for a lunch in a busy market square in a lovely town - where we wanted somewhere independent and with a bit of character. Found a table outside which was a perfect holiday moment spot. Good choice of sandwiches, good coffee. Best part though was climbing the stairs to the top floor of the ancient building to find the loo.

Been here several times for breakfast and lunch Lovely food, friendly staff and good coffee Nicely done out inside too If I was to have one criticism it’s the tea… it’s weak and I think you should offer a more “robust” bag for those that like strong tea Apart from not everyone wanting posh tea bags this is now our “go to brunch place” for good , hot and yummy food I can always drink the coffee instead!!

This was always our go to place for brunch and we were regular visitors Last two times… Had quiche and salad - quiche bottom was soggy and inedible, informed waitress who said that she would tell the chef and that’s likely to happen with the type of filling… ok soo stuff happens On next visit had soup and it was tasteless, no one came to check how the meal was and not possible to stop someone as busy busy. Ate the bread and left the soup. Mentioned it wasn’t good and couldn’t eat it when we paid, just said “oh sorry about that” And carried on We paid in full but was more disappointed in the way our feedback was taken… eg dismissed. could def be improved upon… same waitress both times Sadly we haven’t been back
