Llevar por primera vez, generalmente comer. Acabo de tomar un Tikka de pollo del Báltico con un masala de pescado para empezar. Absolutamente delicioso, gracias Abi y el chef.

Rup is notably busier now after the Corp 5 star assessment of February. Punters now coming in from far and wide, including pastel pink short wearers from Richmond-on-Thames. Four corps barrelled in last night and were shown window seat, before being allowed to get bearings. A huge order of system tests was placed, waiter did not shake his head or warn it was too much - another pleasing side of Rup - it’s a safe space with no JUDGEMENT. However waiter did confirm it was the largest order for four people “for quite a while” and as it turned out additional dining tables were required to accommodate the vast load. The only sign of any concern or bewilderment for waiter was when corp went off menu and requested a portion of phaal sauce. “You want suicide sauce?” came the incredulous reply, with the first sign of head shaking. But the phaal sauce was top drawer and hungry corps instantly ploughed into it, completely tarnishing the taste of the more delicately spiced dishes, but you live and learn. A mixed bag of perspiration though, three corps largely unaffected by the suicide, but one corp was beading to the max including droplets from the ear lobes - within seconds ! The only downside was that the business growth of Rup due to Corp reviews was not given consideration when handed the bill. Although this was still extremely good value, especially to the pastel short wearer, accustomed to spending 8 pound on a cheese baguette. Also the new menu wasn’t adequately proof read; ‘chef speical’ is incorrect, but this is unlikely to deter future visits. Still highly recommended.

Lots of sauce but little else. Regarding flavour it was difficult to distinguish one dish from another. Old fashioned backstreet takeaway that gets away with it because of a captive market when they’re the only place around. Around here though, there are many better options.

Three Corps steamed in last night. Waiting staff doing a tremendous job dealing with gaggle of noisy shrews. Food bloody delicious, generous portions, cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced. Naan breads in particular were a marvel. Didn’t take ages to arrive on a slow trolley either which was a massive BOON. Left feeling satisfied at the garlic and Bangladeshi spice infusion and will definitely revisit again in four year.

Very busy on a Friday night so there was a good atmosphere and glad we’d booked. Service was friendly, quick and efficient even though the restaurant was busy with people eating in as well as takeaways and we were a party of seven. We all chose different dishes and tried each other’s. They were all delicious and everyone was very happy with their choices. The chef was happy to make a milder Dansak for my granddaughter which she absolutely loved. We brought our own drinks which helped to keep the overall cost of the evening reasonable but we all agreed the food prices were very reasonable for the quality and choice of food we’d had.

I've been visiting this restaurant for many years and have never been disappointed. After Covid the drinks license wasn't renewed but you can now take your own alcaholic drinks which is great for those on a budget but like a drink with their curry.

So we decided to try the Rupali for our anniversary meal... For some reason, we've overlooked the Rupali and usually visited Baildon Balti and Janis.. We stopped using B, Balti years ago due to mediocre food and not very friendly staff, which was a shame at the restaurant itself had great ambience and atmosphere, so tended to go to Janis, but unfortunately the quality of food has taken a turn for the worse here too , also the restaurant has a decidedly grubby feel to it lately. So we decided on the Rupali, and what an eye opener!!! They just go the extra mile with service, care and attention. Also the food was wonderful, with delicate spices. Also I didn't suffer with a curry hangover (gippy tummy) as with Janis... I found out that this was due the Bangladeshi restaurants not using as much oil in their curries as the Pakistani restaurants do... Rupali from now on..

We came to baildon for some drinks and a curry. Having 3 Indians in the village we were not lacking choice and all had good reviews. We asked the opinion of a member of bar staff in one of the pubs who recommended here. The food and service was excellent so very pleased! We had 1 starter to share and a curry each with naan and chappattis. All was very good and couldnt fault the taste at all. Weve been to so many indian restaurants in and around bradford and this is up in the top 3 for us so will def be back.

Very unhappy, very bland curry that lacked seasoning, no running water in toilet, when challenged the waiter said “we will be sorting it soon”, how about tomorrow??? Bloody disgusting, won’t be back.

First visit late on a Sunday evening and we weren’t disappointed. Although the restaurant was empty we were impressed with the choice and quality of the food served. The service was informative and attentive and request to tailor make the spice levels was met and delivered as wanted. The portion size was large, leftovers were packed up for home with no fuss at all. Reasonable priced so all together a good experience, more people should give this place a try.

My wife ad I ordered some takeaway meals last week from this place. We had been before as diners and ground the food, service and atmosphere acceptable. However our takeaway experience was something else. On phoning the restaurant we were told to collect the food in about 20 minutes. My wife duly turned up at the right time and asked for the takeaway. The manager knew nothing about the order so my wife had to wait a half hour while it was being prepared. When, eventually, we got home and started the meals we were again disappointed. The starters I had ordered looked, tasted and felt like they had been reheated several times. The curry dishes were extremely hot. Mine in particular had a lot of green chillies in it. My wife's dish had been chosen by her from the menu because it specifically stated that it was a mild curry! My lamb curry contained a lot of gristly pieces of meat which were inedible. We were not able to finish either of the curries. To cap it all I suffered terrible stomach cramps and indigestion a couple of hours later. We shall certainly never order anything from this place again.

We called in recently early doors, there wasn't anyone else in at all. We went for the set menu for 2 people. The pickle tray and starters were very good, then we got the main course. It was bland and very greasy. There were pools of oil in both dishes and the food wasn't spicy at all. The rice and Naan bread were good but the main dishes let the whole meal down. We had a coffee, which was excellent and then you get a free Tia Maria with cream. We know people who have been here and have said that it's really good. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. We won't be rushing back.

The Rupali in Baildon is a real gem, a small unpretentious restaurant serving the best curry in Baildon. We have been dozens of time and it never lets you down. The fish masala as a starter is superb, wonderfully tender haddock pieces in a beautiful flavoured and coloured sauce.I had a chicken ghost Takayuki with rice and a naan, very generous portions and superbly cooked washed down with a cobra. They always have a nice touch at the end with hot towels, liqueur and a mint.Outstanding value for money, great food in a lovely cosy restaurant with delightful staff. You cannot go wrong here, it's the best kept secret in Baildon. Terrific restaurant.

A friend and I visited this restaurant a number of years ago when we had a very pleasant evening. We went again tonight and it was dreadful. The atmosphere was terrible, there were only two other people in there eating. The staff were indifferent and offered poor service. The poppadoms were excellent but the raita and the mango chutney were very watery. The starters of chicken pakora and onion bhajis were tasteless, no spices at all in the batter. The peshwari naan was lacking in both sultanas and almonds and was on the soggy side. The chicken passanda also lacked any sultanas and was also very bland tasting. All in all the whole meal was a huge disappointment and we will not be going again.

We're regulars at Rupali, We used to go with my Gran before she passed away last year, and eating there always brings back many happy memories. It's a tiny place, decorated in a fairly basic fashion. There's a bar, with a limited stock of drinks including the usual Indian beers. The food is good. I like my curries hot but not overpowering. My kids like something very mild, and my wife hovers somewhere in between. Rupali gets it right every time. The starters are just right to get your appetite going without filling you up, and we usually accompany them with a couple of poppadoms each and the pickle tray. We also rather enjoy a peshwari naan with our main courses. The staff are very attentive and helpful, and we do especially enjoy the complimentary Tia Maria with cream that they serve after the meal.

Heard about here by a friend of a friend and came on a Sunday evening. The best Onion Bhajis which are so light and crispy, Mixed kebab wonderfully spicy, vegetable bhuna again great flavours. Interesting menu with dishes I hadn't heard of but will be back again to try. Great service by the staff, attentive but not intrusive. They do a takeaway as well. Surroundings need a little updating, but when the food is that good you do ignore the decor, as the feast on the plate is much more interesting.

It's been a long time since we ate at The Rupali & I remember it being excellent but was a little disappointed when we visited recently. My husband had a meat dish which was a little tough & I had a chicken dish which had a few gristly bits in. I would visit again in case it was just a bad night but certainly hope the meat/chicken quality has improved. On a good note everything else was good, starters & sides etc.

We generally use this outlet for takeouts. Never been disappointed. Tried a recently opened rival and it just wasn’t as good. So back to reliable old Zolsha. Spices always spot on. Never too oily. Meat always tender. Fish always perfectly cooked. No gristle. Had many dishes. Favourite possibly South Indian Chicken and Minted Bhuna. But it’s a hard choice.
