Warm and friendly from the word go! A cold and wet day outside so very welcome. Attentive staff, and the carvery was excellent, tasty and well cooked. The beef was tender and the turkey and gammon were equally tasty. I chose a large plate and regretted it as it was far too much for me to eat but they willingly gave me a doggy bag to take home. Will definitely go back and will be recommending to my friends.

Was looking for lunch in the area very last minute with children and a dog. Found this gem after a Google search. Had literally the best carvery we have ever had . Great portion size and extremely tasty. Will definitely be back.

£15 carvery which is average. Fab meat, frozen roast potatoes cheaper version of Aunt Bessie’s not very nice at all we all left most of them. Veg was tasty and a good variety but quite sloppy, gravy wasn’t good. We had an early sitting so they can’t have ran out of proper spuds. Service was also very slow, we ordered drinks but they didn’t arrive for half an hour we had to chase them up. Nice place though and if they serve better spuds it wouldn’t be bad for the price and the nice atmosphere.

Great breakfast. Plenty of well cooked bacon and good quality sausage etc. Good value also. The staff are always friendly and a clean and pleasant environment. A local gem! Great for coffee and cake also.

Brought my mum and mother in law both not very mobile staff were very helpful and accommodating. I’m vegetarian and gluten free non of which was a problem. It was so nice to have cauliflower cheese that I could eat all the food was lovely, my mum said the lamb was really tender. The staff are great and it has a really relaxed atmosphere.

A real find. Food was delicious and beautifully made. So pleased we chose to go in. Had lovely takeaway sandwiches in very green conscious packaging, but wish we had sat in as the place was great and the team were excellent so would have really enjoyed sitting for a bit. Highly recommend!

Lovely place with a very relaxed atmosphere. Feels like a really good quality place without being 'expensive and posh'. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. On a Sunday they do a carvery which was very tasty - good gravy. I've been before for their normal menu which is also great. Great for a laid back family meal!

We went with friends for Sunday lunch and it was really good - I had made a booking and let them know I had an allergy to mustard, I was really surprised that they had prepared me a separate Cauliflower Cheese with no mustard - I always miss out on the Cauli Cheese - so was delighted that they made this especially for me, my veggie option was also delicious, my friends all had turkey and were very happy! It is rare to find a place that goes the extra mile and Rumours did just that - so thank you Ross and the whole team ............ the bad news is that you may need to make my special Cauli Cheese again, as we will definitely be back !!
