What a find! I was waiting for a friend who was running late and went in to warm up. So glad I did! It looks so lovely and the young man on the counter was immediately welcoming. I had a chip butty (with a toasted bun) and it was delicious. So reasonably priced for sitting in too. A massive thank you to the cook and counter guy who were both brilliant. I will tell everyone I know in the area and will so be back.

This has to be one of the best chip shops in Northampton....fresh crisp . spotlessly clean ...eat in or take out the young lad serving.couldnt be more helpful or polite if you every go through irthlinbrough this place is a must

Just returned from a great dining experience at Rumbles. Been planning on trying it ever since it opened and today my friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a f&c lunch there. So glad we did, lovely welcoming smile as we entered their clean, spacious, nicely decorated establishment. Chose our table and went to the counter to order, f&c x 2, mushy peas and curry sauce and a couple of mugs of tea to wash it down. It was served to us very quickly and looked scrumptious. It was all piping hot, freshly cooked and smelt mouth watering. Getting down to the business of eating, the chips were lovely golden brown, the fish was fresh and white like it had just come off the boat, with a beautiful thin layer of non-greasy batter and complimented by the lovely curry sauce and mushy peas, washed down by strong, piping hot tea, lovely jubbly! It was a generous portion, a proper gut buster but so nice I didn't want to leave any, think I left about three or for chips, didn't want to make a pig of myself! :) I asked for another cup of tea after my meal which was delivered promptly and was told it was on the house. To complete our dining experience we had some home made complementary Turkish delight brought to us, delicious! (thank you mum!) A cheery wave as we left made the whole experience delightful. Thank you Rumbles, we will definitely be back again. Irthlingborough, you are very lucky to have such a great eating establishment in your village. Don't just take my word for it, give it a try.

we often have fish and chip meals when out and about so are amateur experts. This is one of my top 3 chip shops. Towards the top as in my home town. The service is a model of genuine customer care, the food so tasty, good portions, prices are great. You have no excuse for not trying them and soon. Thank you Liam for being so great!!

Wow! What a friendly place, I visit here for the first time on whim and I came away a very happy customer. I only wanted a single meal for me and requested what I wanted, the VERY friendly and polite gentleman on the counter took my order and advised me there would be a 17 minute wait for the items I wanted, then without hesitation offer me an alternative which I gladly took up on the offer, a short while later my food was ready and I have for an unknow reason to me been given what I can only describe as a bucket of food "fried chicken" which wa ls clearly valued at a far greater value than the cost of my meal. Not only was my portion generous the food was packed with flavour and I would say is definitely in the same league of not on the verge of passing it's high street and big chain competition. I will certainly be revisiting this outlet and advise any fried chicken lovers in the area to do the same.
