Every time I order food from George’s the food is quality. Can’t ask for more always fills me up and completely happy with the taste and quantity. But one of the best things is going in placing my exact order with the guys in there. Such friendly and lovely people. Makes me wanna stay in there av my food with them. Chips was cold and had a horrible tasted like pan needed new oil, My boyfriend said his fish was really soggy and cold, Also the mozzarella balls was cold.. Really disappointed tbh.. Sadly we won’t be ordering from here again 😞

I ordered a large Haddock and small chips. The chips was confortably the biggest portion I have ever seen in my life. I am not exaggerating when I say it was more than 4 normal portions. Food was good. Delivery was prompt. No complaints at all.

We were a little bit disappointed to be honest, the chips had been sat way too long, and the batter was soggy! Delivery took about 1/2 hr after we got the message it was on its way!

After seven years of not being able to eat fish and chips due to coeliac disease, we were delighted to find Georgia’s Fish Bar in Higham Ferrers, Northants. The owner was friendly and well-informed regarding the preparation of gluten-free dishes. They have a dedicated fryer for all gluten-free items and a good choice of gluten-free items, including traditional fish and chips. Staff took time to understand our dietary needs, giving great service and their fish and chips were delicious!

First rime ordering from here and unfortunately not impressed. The food arrived late and was look warm at best. The food was bland. It’s a real shame as always try and support local independent business. 👎🏼👎🏼

Hi we ordered Popcorn chicken plus other food this evening. When it arrived there was a 1/4 portion of chicken not what was ordered. We usually get lovely food but my dinner had gone cold by the time I had cut the chicken up for our Grandson. He was looking forward to eating at our house tonight. Disappointed Fensome @111 Rushden

Dnt know why some people have a dig at this chip shop We moved to Higham 4 years ago and we use this chip shop frequently. And I must say .staff are always friendly and helpful. And you can have a bit of a laugh. As to the food. 10/ 10. Fish and chips to die for .and usually far to many chips. (Owner ) iam not complaining. ) If fact iam ordering from here tonight. £6.99 for small portion of chips with cheese - undercooked and cheese not even melted, for that price I am so surprised. Unfortunately me and my son couldn’t eat it. We won’t be ordering again as this is the second time and no change in the time cooking!!! Still under cooked!

HORRIBLE FOOD!! it's Hard to get fish and chips as bad as this place!! Fish is greasy and over-cooked,the chips are really really scabby and under-cooked, only got 1 star as the curry sauce was passable, WASTED MY SIXTEEN QUID ON ONE CHIPS AND TWO FISH AND DEFO NOT HAVING MY MONEY EVER AGAIN!!

My wife and her friends went to this chip shop as her friends live in the local area and as they advertised they did gluten free fish and chips it was agreed they'd go here. What a mistake. They had no seriousness of gluten allergy what so ever. When food was taken out the bag there was no clear marking which was gluten free. The chips and other fish looked all the same. So contacted the chippy only to be told. It's all gluten free so it's fine. (Why send all gluten free when you charge extra for gluten free which is a disgrace as well) 10 minutes later they receive a call to say it isn't gluten free and in fairness they said they would send out a replacement. The replacement was under cooked and not nice at all. What's the point in complaining again. The others had all finished theirs and time was getting on. Sorry but if you're going to serve gluten free food TAKE IT SERIOUS. Gluten can make people very poorly. Yes it's great you offer the option as not many places offer this but please take it A LOT more serious. Maybe try training staff to understand the seriousness of it.

Ordered on Just Eat was unsure how fish & chips would be by delivery, it was beautiful and really tasty. Great value for money as well, will order again.

The best fish and chip shop I’ve been to! The chips are so good and soft, I got a small chips and you could comfortably share the portion with 3 people and the fish cakes have so much flavour with a really nice breadcrumb! Ordered at 7.05 got to us within.. always fast, efficient and food is lush.. reasonably priced. 4 adults and we ordered 3 small chips, ( a big small)1 small cod( which was plentiful), 2 x mushy peas, 1 plain jumbp sausage, 10 pieces of Scampi, 1 x large curry sauce, 1 x bottle Ketchup and a battered mars bar.. at £36 ish a bargain.
