Rumbles Fish Bar | Wootton in Bedford

Rumbles are a great little asset to Wootton. Firstly the service, always friendly and welcoming and always apologetic when there is a delay (not needed, busy is good for you! But thanks anyway). The food is fresh, good quality and always tastes good. I actually find the portion sizes to be very generous… another positive. Recently I was given a free pot of the homemade chilli sauce to try. Verdict wise… Very flavoursome, not overly spicy and goes very well with the lovely chicken or donor meat they do. Thanks Rumbles for providing an excellent chippi right in our doorstep with great food and friendly staff!

Recently moved to the area and fancied good fish and chips. Food was absolutely amazing and very generous portion sizes. Super friendly staff who always smile and the mushy peas is a must! 5*

I moved 18 months ago and have been looking for a decent kebab shop that do traditional lamb and chicken doner this is your place was absolutely amazing cannot wait to try other stuff on the menu and also the staff are lovely cannot fault it see you soon Alison

Fantastic food, friendly staff, other worldly portions. No matter how busy you're always served with a smile. Also, they kindly gave us a bottle of drink on the house for a rather large order. Best local chippie I've come across by a mile.

Provides good service with little to no delay on orders, the food is properly cooked and tastes nice, and everything is fairly priced I go here a lot, a personal 10/10 for me.

Quick stop for lunch tried cod n chips and was lovely i highly recommend Rumbles wootton.

Local bar where you can eat nice kebab and fish and chips. My favourite also is grilled halloumi and wrap with halloumi.

Best chips in Bedford, go every week & the staff are so friendly. Lovely lady always takes time out to ask about us. Never had a bad meal in all time been going there.

I visit often but on the last 2 occasions my order has been wrong

Best Chippy in the surrounding area! The chicken is on the top of my list along with fish. For the size of the portion is worth worth every penny. When freshly cooked, excellent. When not, average. Ridiculously huge portions, especially the chips. Reduce the size, reduce the price. Speaking of prices, expensive, poor value.

Always great service and deliciously cooked fish and chips. Battered sausage and saveloy always nice too. We always use rumbles when in the area. Our Friday treat turned into a couple days a week treat lol

Wonderful experience superb customer service makes you feel at home ordered a family bucket for me and the family we all enjoyed chicken was crispy on the outside meat was juicy. The chips were served fresh salted to perfection and the drinks were cold and refreshing. I would highly recommend 10/10 atmospheres and will definitely come back to order more .

If you’re looking for an amazing fish & chips meal along with friendly service, look no further. The food here is so good and the portions are great. My family are visiting from America and my uncle, who’s a local, sent us here. It did not disappoint. We barely made it out the door before we tucked in (used the picnic tables right outside). I had the large portion, (enough for 2!) will try the smaller one next time. 😬 Lovely food, lovely, friendly service, clean space and reasonable prices. We WILL be going back.

Just got the new Loaded Chips with cheese, bacon, jalapenos and salsa to share between 2. It was absolutely delicious! As usual the customer service was amazing as well. I could not recommend this place enough!

I cannot rate these guys highly enough. They are amazing. The food is great for starters but the customer service is amazing! Every single time I come in they recognise me and are friendly and kind. On the very very rare occasions, in the long time I have been going here that they have gotten my order wrong, the next time I go in they have given me my entire meal for free to say sorry. Lovely lovely people and amazing food. Thank you guys for always being a great place to get some delicious food.

This is MLT MR BHB MR BBC introducing I went into my local rumbles in wootton bedford today and was blessed with tasting their loaded chips. I can’t recommend this enough they were banging full of flavour hella cheese with multiple toppings

Called to ask about gluten free options. Was informed that GF would be available officially on the menu soon but they would be happy to accommodate GF. Couldn’t fault service. The GF food was clearly labelled and separated from non-GF order. My 8 year old loved the GF fish and chips. Would highly recommend and will be ordering from again soon. Thank you Rumbles.

Was warmly welcomed as soon as I walked in, fish & chips was cooked fresh to order, really nice, polite staff working here. Generous portion size, well presented and very tasty. The shop was really clean and well maintained with parking right outside. Will definitely be returning. Update: have returned many times and have tried just about everything off the menu. Can confirm everything is great, biggest issue I have now is deciding what to have!

Have been going to this branch of Rumbles since they opened. Have been impressed everything that I have been in. Alex and the team are always friendly and the whole team greet you when you walk in. The food has always been amazing and I have had pretty much everything off the menu at least twice. Since moving to Bedford we struggled to find a chippy that was any good and we have not found one better than Rumbles.

We brought some spicy chicken wings and they were not even spicy and the chicken wasn’t cooked properly and it’s stunk like it wasn’t stored properly. Would not recommend

As an avid Fan of Fish and Chips Rumbles is one of the most Superior in the area. From the pure White Flaky Fish with top notch batter - consistently 👌 cooked fresh to order. Thoroughly recommend the Vegetarian Burger accompanied with crispy Salard and sauce. The excellent Service and friendly team , seal the deal for our go to local Fish and Chips . Tracey

The welcome you get from the staff is very nice. The food is always to a high standard and really hot and yummy. This place knows how to look after people with the portion sizes. It’s also easy to park and the kids get a lolly pop while they wait.

This is the best fish shop around. We were stuck with the pats pizza. But since rumbles have come, it’s nice to have a clean fresh and amazing customer service all in one place. Had 2 cod and chips lastnight, mushy peas and curry sauce. It was amazing. Would recommend to anyone who fancy a good quality supper and they are always so lovely.

I Travel up and down the country and have been in lot's of Fish bar's in my time but Alex and his crew sure do a fantastic job lunch time fish&Chip 😋 hopefully I'm passing by soon

Rumbles is great. The food is so lovely, great options, good portion sizes too and so efficient in their service. The staff are so warm and friendly and always so welcoming and happy to see you! This has been my experience every time I have been there (so they are very consistent!) Highly recommended and glad to have such a great place in the village.

Omg!! What a yummy food!! It was my first ever visit to Rumbles and I tried their spicy chicken wings!! Very good quality chicken, soft, juicy and tasty. I have now decided, not to go to KFC ever again!! Very friendly staff, place is very neat and clean. Rumbles thank you so much.😊
