The quality and quantity are deteriorating daily. As long-time customers, we are uncertain if there has been a change in staff, but the food quality has become terrible, and the quantity is decreasing while the price remains the same. Today, we ordered a vegetable burger and requested it with ketchup, mayonnaise, and salad. Instead, we received a burger that appeared to be drenched in mayonnaise and ketchup, resulting in a messy presentation. On our last visit, we ordered two vegetable burgers, but the staff provided one beef burger instead.

Just right after a long day at work

Walked in today (4th May 2025) at 21:05 not realising they shut at 21:00 with hope to order some chips. Due to them closing they didn’t have any, but were beyond kind enough to provide us with some chicken & and a fish cake free of charge. We don’t usually each Chicken on the bone, but the chicken was beautifully coated & extremely tasty! My partner had the fishcake as he loves a fishcake! Very kind of you to give us some left over items! Will certainly be back!

Absolutely delicious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the chips were golden, fluffy, and full of flavor. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients. Friendly service and generous portions made it even better. Easily one of the best fish and chips I’ve had — highly recommend!

We use this Rumbles on a regular basis and the food and the service are both excellent. Staff are very friendly. The food portions are generous and we love the extras such as the coleslaw, which is my husband's favourite. He loves coleslaw and says the Rumbles one is the best! We took one of the salads to try today as it was as delicious as all the other food we've had from there. (pic attached).

Ordered large fish and chips- average price of £12. The fish qualify was very poor. It was dry (tasted like it was not fresh at all). The batter was thick. The chips were average. The service was quick and good. Quick because the fish and chips are pre cooked and not cooked to order. Which might have been the reason why the fish was dry, as it might have been cooked well before I had it given to me.

First time going here this week , was so nice we had it again . Highly recommend

We had two medium fish and chips, a saveloy, mushy peas and curry sauce. The whole meal was definitely worth the £30 we paid. The fish and chips weren't greasy and were both really tasty. Portions were a great size! A clean and friendly fish bar.

Gluten free fish and chips available on Tuesdays. Cooked seperately to all other items. I believe they were air fried as the food was not greasy at all and really tasty. Great news for Coeliacs in Bedford 👍

I had heard good things about Rumbles and thought I'd try it myself! Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Service was friendly and very quick! And the food was delicious 😋 will definitely be coming back. A new favourite.

I was confused about the colour of the chicken wings , business owner alex took me inside to show me the method of cooling and how the wings are marinated in seasoning which is why the inside can look a pink colour. Very impressed with the service!

Kebab with chilli sauce to die for

I would give ZERO stars if I could. The manner in which we were spoken to was disgusting, either equal to or more so than the food. We returned our kebabs as the yoghurt tasted tangy and like it curdled. For the main guy at the front of the counter to Shout that YOGHURT DOES NOT GO OFF ITS A BACTERIA. I think this statement alone is enough of a concern without the poor service.

One of the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had!!! Chips just tasted of old dirty oil, the battered sausage was soggy and completely inedible and the friend chicken was dry and tasteless with the batter uncooked on the inside. Meal was so awful it was inedible, complete waste of time and money. Was left feeling unwell all night and wouldn’t return again. Avoid !!!!!

Friendly staff, efficient service, the potatoes are delicious 😋 and we love the Greek salads. Plaice cooked to order and normal fish and chips always fresh and tasty.

Usually go down on a Friday night after work & granted it is busy, but the service and food is usually okay. A couple of weeks ago did the same, ordered in the shop and stood to the side waiting for the order (one adult and two children). I purposefully stood right next to the counter to hear my order read out for collection. After 20+ mins of patience, a lady in the queue asked me if ours was ready yet and I said no. I politely queried if it was ready with the guy who seems to run the establishment and was appalled at how he spoke to me. It was so aggressive and accusatory when I was querying very courteously. He said he’d been saying my order was ready for ages and I said i had been standing listening the whole time and had not heard it. He scolded me like a naughty child infront of everyone in the shop and my children. I left and did not make a fuss, the food by this time was cold and he does not deserve the business if he thinks it’s ok to treat regular customers or otherwise like that. Food is generally okay but nothing to rave about. Maybe a course in customer relations and service would do this chap well.

A massive thank you to Rob & Alex for yet another great staff lunch. This is the second time they have cooked our staff monthly lunch for us of approximately 30 meals . They are always so organised and accommodating at our request of not cooking certain items together due to dietary requirements, everything is always cooked fresh and on time ready for us to collect. Myself and my daughter made an order when it was delivered it was completely wrong!!! But we were exhausted and didn’t bother saying anything at the time. The following day I went in, and very discreetly asked to speak to the manager about the situation. It wasn’t just the wrong order. It was also raw. The chicken was still severely uncooked. I kept the chicken burgers so that I could show him He was so rude shouted at me and told me that everybody loves his chicken burgers and to get out the shop and never come back . As I’ve been very discreet, I was upset that he had raised his voice to me in front of other customers queueing. I have also experienced the males in the shop luring at me every time I’m in there and asking personal questions it’s very uncomfortable and you don’t expect it as a paying customer I think food hygiene should check their hygiene within the kitchen

It’s rare to find a chippy that does gluten free battered fish and honestly it was delicious. The best I’ve had. Excellent service and brilliant for anyone who’s got allergies, very clean, positive atmosphere ❤️

The fish and chips were the best I've ever had crispy, golden batter and perfectly cooked, flaky fish. The chips were equally impressive, with a delightful crunch on the outside and fluffy insides. The service was top-notch as well. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.

Best fish around. Came specially from Peterborough, service from the brother was excellent and service is spot on.

This evening I placed an order for a large portion of chips, battered sausage and 3 pots of curry sauce which came to £11.20. I came home to open up my food and find most of the chips burnt. It’s my second time ordering from here but I won’t be going again.

I have known the owners Alex and Rob since they opened their first kebab shop many years ago. I can only say the people of Wooton have got themselves a great new kebab shop. The brothers are both really nice guys and serve excellent food and nothing is ever too much hassle. The food was always excellent and massive servings of everything.
