Went in on a crawl around Glasgow, ended up staying for a few because of the Music, bought a t-shirt. Loved it

This bar is for those who love Rock and Metal. Awesome music. Great drinks. I have a feeling this will be a staple bar when I’m out in Glasgow. 10/10 can’t wait to come back.

Great atmosphere, really awesome staff!

Nice alcohol free visit this time around. It's getting pricey but everywhere is. Great rock and metal tunes for 8ish on a Saturday night. There seems to be a little more stuff on the walls these days which helps and they still have the coolest bathrooms with tiles distressed to look like aged copper. The 2nd bar upstairs is totally underused and is a nice refuge. Can't wait to come back in for a proper session.

Been coming here for decades. Glad it survived the lockdown. The food's good (update: the food is gone 😟), the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is unique. I do wish they'd dump the video screens showing movies and TV shows. They're distracting when you're in conversations and if I want to watch TV I'll stay home.

Love this bar especially the upstairs smoke area on the roof. It’s ideal so you don’t need to go stand and loiter outside the front. The music is always decent and love the comfy sofas. Staff are chilled and pleasant too.

Going in to the pub there was a definite sweat smell , kind of put us off , we stayed for 1 drink wouldn’t have eaten there , there were no menus on the table not sure if they do food , there was a quiz just starting if you are a quizzer . Tues night .

Awful service. Poor food. Very expensive and limited selection. Beers didn’t taste good like the lines need a good clean. For a rock bar the music was pretty poor like listening to the classic rock radio station. Wouldn’t rush back

So gutted we had to leave in search of food! We were loving the music & the place was so chilled out but they currently have no chefs and we were starvin'! Popped in here on the first night we stayed in Glasgow, was super stoked to see a rock bar! Ended up staying in there till we were tired, drinks and atmosphere was awesome and the bar staff were incredibly friendly. Rock on my dudes and dudettes! Will be back in December! 🤘😜

Had an amazing time - My friend was having medical issues (with their diabetes) and they were extremely helpful and saved their life (with a glass of pepsi)!

First time here last month (Saturday night in Glasgow) and I came in to meet a friend and whilst I was waiting they had my favourite film on (saving private Ryan) and my kinda music as well as some Guinness for the Irish person I am. It was perfect. I would have gladly sat there myself to watch the film and have some drinks! I enjoyed the kinder flavoured drinks too (white Russian?) The atmosphere was very good and I really had a lovely time there… my friend wanted to leave (I secretly hated him at this point) but to be a good pal I went with him but seriously I wanted to spend my evening here! Next time :) especially if there’s such great films playing like epic war films or something similar. Best time thank you! 🖤🖤✨that was my first night out in town In about 1.5 years so it meant a lot

A cool spot with decent jutebox tunes. No live music when we went on a Sunday night.

Awesome place to be to come, hang out and listen to good music. Rooftop area was difficult to find but once you know where it's easy to get to. Music was a little too loud for me and my friends to where sitting in the rooftop area for the quieter music was more preferable. Staff were very friendly, chatty and even allowed me to request a song or two.

rufus has been a staple rock bar for many years.very similar to solid rock really a place for rock fans.bar staff really good and reasonable prices,can get busy at weekends with mostly younger crowd but us oldies are always accepted.good place to meet before gig,s and plenty places close by if you fancy food or a pub crawl.part of glasgow culture of rock variety and worth a visit..

A wee hidden gem in Glasgow. If you like metal or some rock and roll music, this is a great spot. Friendly staff, good music and comfortable seating in a nice atmosphere. I love it!

One of the toons best alternative pubs. Can't rate the food as never had any but the pints are great.

Kitchen shut, no wifi, no music app and expensive drinks. The only good thing left is generally good music. What happened to this place?

This place is just always insanely comfortable, welcoming and full of people that create a homely atmosphere. I don't believe I will ever not feel safe there and I am grateful for its presence in glasgow.

Cool rock bar with great atmosphere

Had a great afternoon with friends sharing conversation with a few pints. Staff were pleasant and quick to serve. Would recommend to anyone who likes rock music which played on the background.

Was told they weren't serving cocktails despite seeing several people with cocktails. Used to be great for white Russians but for some reason not anymore

One of the best bars in Glasgow. One of the only places to go and hear proper rock music in a variety of genres. Lovely team of people working there too who are all super helpful and cool.

Staff are soo rude and bored looking serving seems to be an effort during the day other customers make the atmosphere better at night no food being served whenever we go now shame this pub was a firm favourite back in the day

Really good bar was a bit confusing finding the toilet was more like going on a quest!! But I found it in the end cheap on drinks for a city centre pub nice staff too definitely recommend it

There was no food today, but good music and Bruce Lee on TV and some good chats made up for it today.

Bar staff and the manager are fantastic love a good chat with my round love to meet new people and hear new stories and this place never fails to live up to expectation.

Playing pool was fun, the staff were great and the toilets were pretty clean and the music was awesome

A Glasgow institution. Some of the younger staff were a bit, how shall we say, odd? That seems par for the course these days sadly. Social skills aren't what they once were. Still a great bar though.

First time at Rufus T. Amazing bar, super friendly staff. Manager let me choose a few epic metal tracks. Going back tomorrow. We need a place like this with staff like this in every town.

Great bar. Has an awesome drink selection especially beer. Always has great movies playing.

Seems a bar catering for the student population in the city centre, some interesting music memorabilia including a bust of John Lennon. No real ale but did have IPA on keg.

Class wee place. Lovely staff, stopped in for pres on the way to Anthrax and they were playing loads of their tunes. The white Russians are class!

First time I visited Rufus on Friday before the Anthrax gig with my friend Keith. Very clean, great music and food was good. Excellent choice for drinks. Will visit again at some point in the future. 5 stars

I visited early evening on a Thursday, so it was quiet. Music was good and staff were friendly.

Great bar for food and drink, welcoming atmosphere with a PlayStation 1 to use for all customers and films playing throughout. Comfortable place to sit and chill with sofas Inc bar and tables, there's something for every customer

Pretty good, managed to get an excellent seat and it wasn't super busy despite being a Saturday night - which is preferable for someone who likes a more relaxed atmosphere. Bar staff were friendly enough, and good music was playing all night.

They don't serve Tennents lager, but other than that it's good. They should get rid of that Fosters pish and get Tennents then they might get 6 stars.
