Ruby’s House in Wigan

This is a go to for Chinese however unfortunately tonghts food was awful. I ordered the shredded crispy chicken and it was so tough and hard I couldn't eat it. The salt & pepper chips were just normal chips, very disappointing which is shame as until now I've not had a bad experience from here.

Awful food for what we paid, £29 amd threw it all away. Also arrived late! Never again!

1st line ordering thought it would be nice after reading the reviews. Absolutely shocking. No taste at all to the sweet and sour chicken. Far to much salt on the salt and pepper chips and salt and pepper chicken. Would not go back. Over £30 spent for it to go in the bin.

Omg the chicken noodle soup is amazing me and my husband had it my gusband also had chilli chicken the food arrived so quick qnd really hot we will order again

We had the Bean curd with Szechuan sauce, Salt & pepper shredded chicken with extra chillis, Singapore special chow mein with extra chillis and two servings of salt & pepper chips. it was massive. we've still got more than half of it for tomorrow. delicious.

I used this as a takeaway so I can’t comment on the premises itself. The food arrived quickly, but it wasn’t very hot and it was near tasteless. The taste that I could perceive was not pleasant, and I went hungry. Oh well - I suppose that I’m done bothering with takeaways.

This is the worst Chinese I’ve ever had and believe me I have had some Chinese takeaways the ribs were coated with I think was breadcrumbs deep fried no meat and yes I know they don’t have much. But these had none and the sauce was disgusting. I also got chicken in oyster sauce that was so salty you couldn’t taste anything but salt and even the fried rice tasted if nothing but grease. I will never go back to this Chinese even if it was the last on the planet.

Speedy delivery and lovely food

It was terrible under the old mgt and under this new mgt it hasn't improved. Chips need to be much better. Given the competition in the area plenty of other choice.

I went to this chinese and spoke to a charming young man called Derek on the phone. He’s so nice. I then went to collect my order. I got home and the food was so good. Derek is now my favourite chinese chef. Xx

Bad bad bad. So bland and tasteless. Never again. Waste of £20. Try tsangs Darlington Street. They don't deliver but fantastic food and service.

We use to be good customers in past before we moved in other area of Wigan. Tonight we decided to order some food for the new year and we were very disappointed and we are not going to recommend this place. The crabstick sweetcorn soup I had was weak, taste of water with sweetcorn not cooked, no tapioca as the real one has got. I had beef rice who was really dry and served in polystyrene box.

Excellent value, delivery always arrives hot and the food itself is always very tasty.

Ordered 4 different meals tonight, and I can honestly say I think it has put me off Chinese food for good the chicken was like slime, everything was sweet even the curry sauce chow mien was covered in like an oyster sauce, slimy disgusting slop, that’s all I can say about it🤮

We ordered from Ruby’s via Just Eat and had our order delivered. Delivery was on time. Food was very nice and reasonably priced too. Worth trying

First time we ordered from here tonight and I tell you what absolutely brilliant for was fantastic....we usually order from peter anyone who is a peters fan this place is just as good reasonable priced on time .....1000% be a returning customer .... Thanks for a lovely meal Stacey

Only had starters this time for a quick snack and was tasty and good value as usual.

Food was lovely. Service was very friendly. The waiting area was very clean & what I could see of the kitchen from where I stood it was very clean too. We've eaten from here a couple of times and have to say the food is tasty. Me & my kids (3) all love chicken noodle soup. We weren't too keen on their chicken noodle... Too thick, goopy & lacked flavour. Their curry sauce is unusually sweet, it's only ok. Apart from those 2 dishes, everything else Really tasty. Will be ordering from here again

Great food can not have enough. Good amount for the price.and the shop is always clean.

Giving it a 1 star for there chips as they was good as that's the only thing what was nice. The rice was either cooked, over cooked or not cooked at all. Really not happy and won't order again. Was late aswell :(
