Hello Ruby Chinese. Feast for 3???? More like "Feast for 3 in a parallel universe where taste buds are on vacation." First up – Singapore noodles. Serious question: Did you add gelatine? Because what we got was not noodles, but some sort of sad, congealed slop that could’ve been used to patch up the cracks in the pavement outside. Lamb fried rice? Well, there was no lamb, just some chewy grizzle that could barely be mistaken for meat. The beef cubes were so small, they were basically invisible—like the pot noodle version of beef, if that makes sense. Spare ribs? More like "spare the disappointment." There was no flavour, no texture, no joy. They were essentially the culinary equivalent of a beige wall. Beef in black bean sauce? Let’s call it what it was: 3 tiny cubes of beef, swimming in a sea of onions that were barely cooked and a dollop of black bean sauce that came straight from the jar marked "low effort." Sweet and sour? Sure, but why were there peas in it? Is that the secret ingredient? Did you think peas would somehow camouflage the fact that you forgot the chicken? Now, let’s talk about the prawn crackers. Even my dog turned his nose up at them. That's how bad they were. If you were trying to make them taste like cardboard, mission accomplished. And finally, the bowl of chicken and sweetcorn soup. It honestly looked like you went to the local rusted kettle, scooped up some questionable water, threw in a spoonful of sweetcorn, and hoped no one would notice the lack of chicken. Did you forget to turn the soup on? Because it tasted exactly like dishwasher water, if dishwasher water had a faint memory of chicken at one point. In conclusion, Ruby, this was less a meal and more of an abstract concept. On the positive side, we would like to announce that you have indeed made history of the worst possible Chinese we have ever tasted in the UK. & will always be a core memory in our lives with a new form of entertainment whenever we bring up Chinese, and how my husband will Never allow me to choose a new Chinese takeaway again. Please close down, goodbye.

Guy was rude on the phone. Chips were stale and cold, everything else wasn’t tasty and was cold and food was 35 minutes late.

Chicken fried rice had no chicken chicken chow main had no chicken. Chips u get quarter bag curry there was 6 tiny pieces of beef with grissel an 6 piece's chicken. Chicken balls had a funny taste an chicken was hard inside rice is fried rice but was white 10 free prawn crackers prawn toast tastes like just fried bread no prawn all tasted like it was microwaved an had a funny smell i ate mine but partners is in the bin delivery bloke was nice tho picture taken is the 1 my partner couldn't eat after 2 fork fulls

Doesn't even deserve 1 star. I ordered 2 items. The shop sent the delivery guy to the wrong address and then when I tried calling them, they wouldn't answer the phone. Managed to get through to the delivery man and he said the shop had sent him to the wrong address and then cancelled the order when they realised their error. Had me waiting almost 90mins and couldn't even bother to update me on what was going on. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Asked for chicken Chow mein with no vegetables, got sent a chicken Chow mein with vegetables and no chicken. When I called the restaurant a man shouted down the phone at me, followed by a woman, telling me I was wrong and there were no vegetables in my Chow mein.

DO NOT ORDER I was eating my meal when I felt something sharp and when I took it out of my mouth it was a small thin piece of metal which I luckily didn’t eat.

What I ordered was tasty but, you need to change your pans as there was all black specks on both chips and crispy chicken. Way too many beansprouts in the chow mein too. The curry sauce was awful looked greenish... very watery and also had black specks in. Chicken fried rice was great though.

Ordered a delivery and the food is manky i wouldnt suggest ever eating here the place needs closing down the chips were soggy the curry sauce was brown and lumpy the chicken wasnt proper chicken and soggy as the rest of the food was they fill the tubs with vegetables more than the the actual food which is obserd if i could id the sue these people that cooked the food

First and last time ordering here, only went in for some salt and pepper chips and the place stunk like a dirty chip pan, I was asked to wait in the car and they would bring the food out to me which I'm greatful I did because after only 2 mins stood in there the smell had clung to me, at this point I wanted to drive off as I knew it was going to be disgusting and guess what, it was and now I also need another shower lol. Only opened the box and the smell of dirty grease that hasn't been changed for months hit me in my face, and it went straight in the bin. Glad I didn't order anything else. Wouldn't feed to my dog. Don't usually leave reviews but after reading the rest of the reviews I thought I would add my 2 pence

Prawn toast looks like it was cooked over a lukewarm radiator and there was zero prawn they literally served me bread not even good bread 🤣😂. The satay sauce was green …. SINCE WHEN IS SATAY SAUCE GREEN. Honestly worst Chinese I’ve had in my life 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. Called to complain customer service was terrible. salt and pepper ribs with zero seasoning whatsoever - dry as hell please tell me why the ribs look like an actual turd? But I feel a turd would taste better. If my words can’t describe how bad it is please see the photo below to show. Cheers. Kids crying 🤣

8 years ago I would’ve given a 5 star review as they were an excellent Chinese. since the change of hands running this particular takeout restaurant the quality of the food has decreased significantly I do understand that it’s costing a lot more money to run businesses since the cost of living but we need to set the bar a lot higher with the quality of food! If that means pricing it a little higher so that we get quality food then that needs to happen, I have just had a chicken curry wasn’t too bad, but wasn’t great as before say 6 months ago it was terrible, I did order the meal for 1 option which was meant to come with a soft drink, I guessed they run out (it happens) and I was replaced with chicken balls and sweet and sour sauce, which was their apology and I appreciate that, but basing it on the quality again I will have to agree with the other reviews I’ve seen on here coz where’s the chicken? I can get a bag of Iceland’s own chicken balls which are better, and larger in size (not to be rude) as a restaurant you should be better than Iceland's chicken balls and your curries and other things should be talk of the street for the right reasons not the wrong. Teamwork makes the dream work but requires love and effort into cooking, hope to see improvements soon 🤞

To be perfectly frank I was sober while i ordered this and I can say with real honesty there is no amount of alcohol or hunger that could have conned me into believing this was quality food. The chow mein lacked anything aside from bean sprouts, noodles and prawns- it tasted like it had been cooked in the tears of an old Chinese woman who was heartbroken that Ruby decided to pursue Chinese culinary arts! The chicken balls seem to be in a state of a divorced sadness between a scrap of chicken and a hybrid doughnut. The prawn crackers were stale and the satay looked like something that would have made dysentery and the plague look appealing. I can say with complete confidence that I will not be eating with you again and hope that you choose a new form of business moving forwards.

Firstly it took almost two hours to get to me which is an absolutely atrocious waiting time. Food was mostly cold and dry. The chicken wings were overcooked and dry, chicken balls were small,soggy and hardly had any chicken in them. The so called "crispy" salt and chilli beef had the consistency of a slug also portion size was horrendous for £6.50!!! Chow mein tasted almost smoky and was dry, chicken fried rice dry as a bone. This was probably the worst Chinese I've had in my life and was a major let down. And also taking in consideration of the price there was no free prawn crackers or spring rolls. Would definitely not recommend ordering from here.

i had such high hopes but was seriously let down. immediately i noticed the food had a weird smell but i thought that was a one off. i ordered beef chow mein, crispy wontons and deep fried squid. the chow mein was so dry and had little to no flavour. the crispy wontons were a huge disappointment. when i saw £4.99 for 10 i was amazed with how good that was. when i opened the bag i was shocked. as you can see in the photo their is literally the smallest amount of filling which you cant even taste. lastly the fried squid was the worst. i was excited to see squid on the menu and ordered it, but when i opened the container it did not look appetising. i pushed that aside and still took a bite and spat it out. a good thing i can add to this is the amount of chow mein that was in the container was brilliant. full to the brim! absolutely not worth 20 pound

Disgusting food. Both squid and rice box. Had one bite of the squid and binned it; didn’t finish the rice box after first few pieces of chicken were pinkish-looking. Chicken wasn’t battered so I am genuinely confused how these items took almost 2 hours to be made and delivered. Placed my order at 1:37am (the order was accepted & closing time was in the next 23 mins). Delivery driver arrived at 3:03am. Food was scheduled to arrive at 2:35am. Generally Appalled.

Bought for my mum, delivery fine, friendly delivery driver. Unfortunately, the food was awful, omelette and chips- chips in the same container as the omelette which I’ve not seen before and therefore meant the omelette was smaller than usual but more importantly both chips and omelette really not great. A mixture of slimy and dry, in the end, could not eat them and had to be thrown away. Pineapple fritters again, very dry. She then spent the rest of the evening feeling pretty rough too!

Poor experience. Food was very delayed and when it arrived the quality was sub par. Noodles weren’t hot and were over cooked and mushy/broken up. The King prawn dish didn’t contain King prawns either

I ordered prawn toast and sweet and sour chicken balls . When it came they sent the chicken balls and some fried chicken wings, I phoned them up and they said they hadn’t got any prawn toast and sent an alternative item instead . In that case phone and explain before hand and offer me an alternative dish or a refund, I didn’t want chicken wings with chicken balls. They said they would give me free prawn toast next time (which you just know they won’t) food was mediocre, wont be using again

Worst Chinese curry I’ve ever had by a long way, curry sauce was bland and didn’t even look like curry sauce.. more like gravy with no taste at all. Chips were over cooked warm ups, boiled rice which was fine. This was the first and definitely the last time ordering from these and i hope they read this review and improve at least their curry as it’s the worst I’ve had and wouldn’t even give it a one star. Wow! Terrible from start to finish. Ordered 3.30pm, called at 4.30 said it was with driver, turned up 5.25….COLD. Worst tasting Chinese we’ve ever had. Prawns were awful, not even king prawns. The curry tasted like a beef gravy. No flavour in the chow Meiji, that was dry. Ribs were pure fat. Honestly so not know how they can serve this rubbish!!! Threw it in the bin, requested a refund and went to the chippy!!!! Will never order from here again!!!

Singapore fried rice want food. used eat cook rice which doesn't go well with the flavours in my opinions. Chilli and salt ribs, more onions than actually ribs. mummy prawn ginger and onion. more soup than king prawn. like 5 prawns and the teddy of the lunchbox was soup. feel cheated. Wanted to give them a chance despite low rating but now I see why they're rated so low.

The food was disgusting the chicken was in a tub of oil the chicken nuggets was not even nuggets and they was cooked but reheated in the microwave I was not feeding that to my daughter the chips was remicrowaved the curry was just slop bearly any chicken spring rolls was soggy and the egg fried rice had mold in if gordan ramsay saw this you would be shut down fot good I would not even feed any of it to the dog it's that bad it made my partner instantly sick and don't Even get me started about the smell of the food it smelt like wet dog

No chow main . Only a couple of slices of beef in the beef in black bean sauce. Prawns on toast not sure if over cooked or stale bread to start with. Very disappointed in the food tonight . Deliver was fab on time and arrived on a bike.

They gave me free chips but the chicken chow mein what I have right now the chicken taste like grass and the chicken chow mein taste like grass I’m eating which sounds weird, but the prawn crackers are good and the chow mein is just dry and inside there’s like mold on the corners and it’s messy and it’s cold. They don’t even keep the door shut.

I wasnt gonna leave a review but this restaurant couldn't be bothered to respond or call back and there number on here doesn't work so I found it on google. The food was late, so it was cold, the chicken balls were under cooked, the curry sauce had so much pepper in and didn't taste like Chinese curry sauce. I also I ordered dry ribs and received salt and pepper ribs. It was a waste of money and I wouldn't order from here again. I think they have new owners.
