I said put salad and went home to find no salad.

Quick and friendly service. Food is always great. Not oily, and cooked just right. This is our go-to when there’s a bunch of us so there’s always a variety of items ordered. Everyone is always happy with their food.

decent chippy the chips are nice and i like how they are red battered the curry sauce had quite the spice to it but overall decent chippy in my opinion

First time going tonight, I had chicken kebab and chips and a savaloy and it was hot fresh and delicious , went in about 8.30pm and staff were very friendly. I think within time once they are settled it will be a great edition to the neighbourhood👍👍👍

The single worst portion of chips I've had. Mostly rock solid, they've been open since 11.30 in the afternoon, I went in at roughly 18.30. These chips look like they've been reheated from the previous day. For somewhere that's literally just opened under new management it's unbelievable.

Food was really good and enough for a person.

This is it! Under new management and it tells!!! Just had a meal from Skippys and was spoken too and served by I guess the owner and a lovely waitress serving the food. A true one-to-one experience from owners that care! The food was great and suffice to say I shall return. 😊

placed an order through the website for collection order confirmation received and payment taken via the website drive down there to collect and low and behold the store is shut no one inside no sign of opening. Phone number is temporarily unavailable so i can not even contact them

Placed an online collection order. i received confirmation email and the payment was taken get to the store it was closed no light on no food in the holders no staff in sight. so despite accepting the order and taking payment i got nothing

This is a really bad chippy hadn’t been there in over a year thought I’d try my luck as the food was terrible a year ago and trust me ITS EVEN WORSE would never eat from here again even if it was the only chippy around 😡😡

Love fish & chips so decided to treat ourselves for tea. Front of shop is clean & tidy with a large fish tank in the window which is nice to watch whilst waiting for your order. Staff are friendly enough. Lots of choice, prices are competitive but like everywhere prices have gone up. Food is delicious m, would recommend

The amount of chips you now get has more than halved. Not worth the money. Unfriendly staff.

Worst!!!! Super slow, chips looked dirty, girls serving had a nasty cut and scab on her hand. Horrible

Beef burger was really dry full of grissle kebab meat dry no flavour .. The plain chips are really nice 👌🏼

Food has gone downhill under the new management. Service is so slow. Waiting half hour for a burger that was like rubber. Atmosphere is dull as well. Doesn't look very clean and prices are extortionate for what the food is worth.

NO CHIPS! I asked for my usual order, including a large chips. "Gotta wait for chips", said the miserable padded lady. I waited. While I waited, an elderly lady came in and asked for something as simple as fish and chips. "Gotta wait for chips", said the miserable padded lady. She waited. The miserable padded lady started tipping some filth onto grease-proof paper. The elderly lady said "They're not mine, are they?". The miserable padded lady said "No". I asked, "Do you not sell proper chips anymore?". At this, the "Boss" intervened to say that you have to pre-order chips. YOU HAVE TO PRE-ORDER CHIPS IN A CHIPPY!!

Good food and quick service. Staff are spot on. So much better than the young tattooed girl who ran it before when it was the Tasty plaice .(reason why we stopped using the place as did many others - see my other review for the tasty plaice). Glad it's returned to it's former glory. Go try , you won't be disappointed.

The lid on the Chicken and mushroom pie was like concrete the inside was stone cold and the chips were still hard in the centre. The lady who started to serve had a very disgusting attitude like it was too much hard work to get the order correct or even be polite. I will never use this shop again and would warn people not to use it,until their staff learn to cook correctly and have better customer service skills.

Lovely fresh fish and chips. Generous portions and amazing prices. Highly recommended

I bought pie and chips from Skippys today and the chips were amazing! They were so soft and the pie was perfect! Crispy and piping hot in the middle! Can not recommend the food from this place enough! If you haven’t been yet you definitely need to try the food! They don’t disappoint and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! :)

First time I've visited since it became skippys and was pleasantly surprised. Its now modern and upto date and gleaming! The staff are wonderful and the chips were splendid. The fish was cooked to perfection! Will definitely be visiting here alot more. Well done!

Popped in yesterday (Fri 3rd) The store was a little busy but didn’t wait long at all to be served & then receive my food. I ordered a mini fish special the chips were hot & tasty. Fish was beautiful & curry sauce was Devine! Will deffo be returning! Probably the best chippy Iv had in a long time!

The food from skippy’s was good 👍🏽 I had the spicy chicken fillet burger with battered chips and I wasn’t left unhappy with anything I ate. The chips were cooked well and so was the burger - my favourite thing about the order (being part of a larger order) was the fact that they labelled my box clearly so it was easily identifiable which impressed me a lot - will definitely be eating here again

Ordered a battered sausage meal. The sausage was delicious, nice and crispy batter. And the orange chips were to die for!! Lovely, friendly staff… I will definitely be back!

Disgusting food went there from herons 4.30pm looked like food was there from dinner time pie was rock hard chips were rock hard. This chippy has gone down hill since Paul left and Chinese Keith ran a great chippy. I won't buy from here again probably worth minus 5 and the worst food I have ever eaten they need to get in someone who can cook. I reported my food to the trading standards.

First time eating here and It was amazing food PROPER BLACK COUNTRY CHIPS!! The portions are very good for the price you pay aswell. Will be ordering again.

Firstly got our order wrong had to go back no apology second meal was so covered in mint sauce couldn't taste kebab meat or chicken didn't give us fresh chips as cold very disappointing

Thought I'd try this place as not too far from where I live. Wish I hadn't, the chips were freshly fried but didn't taste quite right, presume it might be to do with the oil used. I had a sore throat afterwards and so did other members of my family. Will give it a miss in the future.

Only had pie & chips, the chips were completely inedible. They looked stale & a thousand years old! The pie didn't taste right! The pie some black burnt something on the top of the pie from putting it face down on the microwave plate! Save yourself, do not use this chippy! They obviously don't taste what they are serving! Avoid, avoid, avoid! 🤮🤢🤮🤮🤮

I usually love this chippy. But went in Saturday and it was like an under 18s nightclub. Music was blasting. 4 kids running the shop, food took forever. Food was possibly the worst I've ever had. Chips weren't battered they were just a yellow colour. All food was covered in dirty oil bits so guessing oil should of been changed, fish was greasy. Kebab pitta was burnt and meat was rock hard and dried to death. The customers that were in shop before me left and then returned to complaint aswell.

rubbish service when you phone a delivery they always stop half way through the order to take someone else's order in the shop. then it takes nearly two hours to arrive and when it finally shows up there is always something missing from the order. do not recommend.

best Cod and chips in Wolverhampton must try it... Cod is really fresh and tasty.

Spent £40 on delivery tonight didnt recieve my sons meal called back for them to send chips half hour later not the meal i ordered to be told i would get the meal i ordered to be waiting a further 40 mins to which i had to call them for them to say we have run out come in monday we will give you it then im disgusted with this service and attitude

The foods hit and miss. Unfortunately since the refit they have new boxes for the food. They appear to packing the boxes well but in reality there’s hardly anything in them. Charge the earth for the amount of food you get and mediocre quality. I complained on my last visit and never used them since

OMG YUM BLOODY YUM. The fish was gorgeous , that was a lovely meal, hubby loved his mixed meat kebab too. Overall a good meal was had by all.

Average quality food. Portions were smaller than they used to be. Lady behind the counter didn't even acknowledge that if walked into the shop. Waited ages to be served even though I was the only customer in the shop. Chips were cold. Used to be much better than this before it changed owners.

Had a fantastic meal, so stuffed could not finish it all, compared to my last takeaway this was well well worth the money, would definitely recommend and will be visiting again.
