Ruby in Glasgow City

Ordered from here and honestly, never again. Food took forever, arrived cold, and tasted awful. Soggy chips, dry chicken, and curry sauce like cement. Called to ask where it was, and the woman on the phone was unbelievably rude. Terrible service, terrible food. 1/5.

Food was edible but nothing to rave about. Front of house guy was a star but the takeaway honestly looks really shady

aye so back in October, I ordered a salt and chilli munchie box and they forgot the chicken balls, pure devastation ik. complained at the time, and they said, “next time u order, youll get two free munchie boxes.” sounded fair, right? wrong. fast forward to today, I walk in, mention the deal, and suddenly the guy behind the counter is looking at me like I’ve just asked him to recite the full works of shakespeare. proper raging anaw acting like im some sort of criminal mastermind running a munchie box scam. aye mate, cuz thats how I spend my free time. showed him proof, and he still looked like id just asked him to explain quantum physics. then he gets his colleague, who looks just as confused and about as happy as a dug that’s just been telt it’s going to the vet. after a bit of huffin and puffin, he takes my name, number, and postcode, saying he’d “check with the manager and phone me.” spoiler alert: never phoned. so, cheers for the experience, lads. 5 stars for the entertainment, 1 star for the service. if u fancy getting stared at like a madman and treated like yer trying to commit some high-level munchie box fraud, this is the place for you. otherwise, i’d say avoid—unless u enjoy disappointment with a side of attitude.

This is a first, I've never been ghosted by a Chinese before! Tried to place an order and was told they would phone back soon. After two hours waiting we gave up and went to a better Chinese elsewhere. Shocking.

The best part about this takeaway was when i walked out the door. I was promised 2 free munchy boxes next time i order due to a wrong order first time round. I walk in and they refused to give me it despite having receipts. They took my phone number and said they’d phone me but never did. Guy behind the counter had a very aggressive stance when I stated that I was allowed free food and the woman in the back was absolutely clueless.

Shocking service went in to clame 2 free munchie boxes the lad at the counter look like he was gonna punch us the woman in back had not a clue on whats goin on they said they call us but to no avail

the food toke an hour and 20 minutes to come and got ribs and chicken curry got 3 tiny ribs and the chicken in the curry was tiny the service was terrible couldn't hare a thing she was saying and she couldn't understand me half of the time the food was ok whoud not buy agan

The girl is always shouting at the poor guy behind the counter for her own mistakes Treats her drivers like dirt Very selfish and greedy woman Chicken balls burnt all the time

This was terrible all round, placed order at 18:35 and it didn’t arrive until 21:20. I appreciate Saturday nights are usually busier for these restaurants but if you can’t cope with the demand, don’t accept the orders. Called twice asking for an update and was told at 8pm it was on its way, although it took another hour and twenty minutes. When it did arrive it was lukewarm and absolutely everything was soggy the chips were actually wet. Shame as I’ve had from here before during the week and it was nice but if you’re ordering as a treat for a Saturday night I would go elsewhere, it was disgusting really. A waste of £40

The food is not bad, spare rib portion with a set meal is poor compared with other takeawys

Best part was the delivery speed, rest of it was below average, the worst salt and chilli chips I've ever had, curry sauce was tasteless, rice over cooked. Avoid at all costs

Just waited over an hour for my Chinese it said all the way up to order is on the way then was cancelled called uo woman very cheeky and said the delivery driver cancelled my order because my phone number on order wasn't showing up on WhatsApp to call me, don't understand why a delivery driver would be looking me up on WhatsApp very weird! Will not order from here again which Is a shame as I usually go here to get my order but after this delivery experience I don't want to give them anymore of my money!

Absolutely shocking service. Ordered through uber eats. Very poorly packed and full order delivered damaged with sauce covering literally everything inside bag. Driver was very apologetic and asked to contact restaurant. Full replacement has been arranged and the same driver delivered only partial replacement. Driver , who was also surprised, contacted takeaway directly. Takeaway requested to speak to me directly and only I could hear was "apologise" from the man on the phone and women shouting in the background "tell them I have refunded it and bring both orders back"(I'm assuming it was manager or owner). Absolutely disgusting approach and customer service. I would strongly discourage anyone from ordering any food from them especially reading other reviews here unless you want to be left hungry and out of pocket.There are much better places in Glasgow to order food from.

Take away only, never a complaint on this tasty food, its excellent.

Waited 1hr 30mins for delivery . Also got free food poisoning. The chicken satay was clearly not cooked enough . Thank you guys !

Food absolutely shocking Stated breast of chicken satay I can assure you this wasn't breast If you want decent Chinese go to Peggy's on maryhill road I wish I had just walked around the corner and got Peggy's her food is class Due to my health I can't always get out and have to use Uber eats just unfortunate Peggy's isn't on it But yeah avoid ruby like the plague

food is good but absolutely ridiculous customer service, food never showed up no one would answer my call. £30 down the drain because the food never showed up.

The customer service is appalling, I was hung up on 3 times as I was trying to explain that they had forgotten to give me 2 items of my order. The woman I spoke to on the phone was rude and hung up on me the first time when I called back she tried to take the order again🤦‍♀️ I explained atleast 9-10 times I didn't have my chicken fried rice or gravy and she kept saying but you have the Thai curry rice and chips yes, which I did but that wasn't the point I was making. She called me back to ask what I had again then hung up which I was still none the wiser weather I was getting my chicken fried rice and gravy. I have been getting take aways from the ruby for a long time, food has changed and has become greasy and not tasting as good as I knew before. Unfortunately because of the service I was provided I will not be returning to the ruby in partick!!!!

Ordered & when the delivery was a half hour late, I phoned only to have it ring out. I also requested updates on Uber eat - nothing. When it arrived my cans of juice were missing. And it was only after I also noticed they haven't got the standard hygiene check done for a restaurant. I see the contractor below commenting on how they are a hazard. Won't be ordering again.

Great Chinese and they do a tea time special 3 course meal for £7.00 well worth a visit best Chinese in Partick

Love this takeaway! Was always my go to takeaway when I lived locally. This is the first time I've eaten from the Ruby in a year or so, I think I will be making the effort to drive for a collection in future as the quality hasn't decreased over the years

One of the better places about without a doubt...lovely chicken....satay sauce is amazing too

The kitchen in this restaurant is unclean and as a contractor we are constantly having to clear grease from the drains due to the poor hygiene and management of the grease. I would avoid this place as it is a health hazard.

Had food here out of here a few times. It's always greasey and the quality each time was rotten. Avoid like the plague.

We love this place, always have the roast pork chow mein and it's lush! Often order here for New Years Eve when they're open and order a big feast of things.

Me and my partner get food from Ruby's every week, always a great meal and service. Never once had a bad meal! The chicken Satay is fantastic. I would definitely recommend Ruby's to anyone looking for high quality food!

Tasty food with healthy portion sizes. The bugbear is that they only take cash which in today's world is unusual and annoying.

Average Chinese takeaway, never anything bad - it is what it is

Absolute joke of a place waited almost 2 hours for delivery, when it eventually arrived it came without 2 cans of coke which was courtesy of them due to late delivery or missed order which was stated at time of phonecall to see where order was!! When order arrived the delivery driver was a disgrace to the Ruby chinese!!! When i called back regarding the 2 missing cans the girl said she would send the driver back. Over 30mins later still no cans!!! Called them back and spoke to manager who clearly made up lies regarding the way i spoke to the driver when it wasnt even myself that opened the door it was a male that collated the order from delivery driver so the so called manager/owner made up lies and never delivered the cans!!!!!!! In this day and age you would want to satisfy your customers not deter them!!!! This chinese doesnt deserve the business or loyalty of their customers!!! Would also like to add that the food was also cold amd verging on inedible

Spring rolls = disgusting greasy battered thing. I had to pick the top layer off. Not how I like my spring rolls Ribs= the sauce was too sweet Soup= where was the actual soup? It was all noodles + wantons, but the wantons were all pastry and barely any filling. I liked the free prawn crackers though.

This is by far the worst Chinise takeaway I've ever ordered from 😷Messed up my order told me I would get a free curry as it was closing time,so I told my sister to use my details and surprise surprise the girl never had a clue what I was talking about biggest waste of £25 I've ever spent they even forgot to add my curry sauce to my order the chicken balls were vile even the dog struggled to eat them so they got binned !!!advise anyone not to order out this place ,plus the place looks filthy wish I knew this before wasting my phone bill and money on the biggest dump out...I've got friends that stay just round from there and I told them about it and they even said don't order out there u maddy so what does that tell you even locals don't use it...(hmm I wonder why lol)

I will never order out here again waste of £14 all went in the bin specifically asked for very mild curry sauce and I was given very hot sauce therefore my daughter couldn’t have it me either I have a Ulser second of all got a starter mixed grill and it was all burnt also binned I am not happy with this at all waste of £14 fuming 😤

I orderd shredded chili beef honey chilli sauce fried rice it was delious so im going to order something diffrent to night ill up date when ive ate 4 stars for delious food fast delivery

One star is lucky, placed an order which after an hour had still not arrived, called up to see what was happening and was told order had been cancelled as the takeaway doesn't like to send out cash orders to first time customers despite offering this payment method on just eat. Was then hung up on by an extremely rude girl when asked to speak to a manager. Will never order from here again.

Not happy orderd 2 tea time special didnt order prawn crackers because you get them free when u spend over £10 we spent 2x £6.50=£13 add £2 delivery come to £15 so how no prawn crackers ????not happy not be ordering from you again!!!!!!
