Had a quick trip to Altrincham market and had the most amazing mushrooms on toast from Ruben’s Now looking for excuses to make a return trip as they were the best

3 wings for £8.50. Over half an hour wait. Wings were bang average. Jog on.

Tastless chicken shawarma unfortunately- really oily , tasteless , something not right about it. Took two bites and left it.

I work there but I left they grill the chicken halal on the grill mixed with beef not halal when should clean the grill befor cooking the chicken halal

Nice mixed kebab and a decent size too. My partner enjoyed her falafel bowl. It's little expensive for what it is.

Today I’ve been to Altringham food court, ordered one lamb and one chicken dishes, the food was awful, cold, hard to chew and tasteless. When I mentioned it to the chef about the issues, he didn’t even care. Don’t recommend.

My favourite lunch time spot. Craig does a good job here and is always up for a chat no matter how busy. Lamb Shawarma with chilli oil is a must!

The go to food stop for our family in Alty. Lamb shawarma amazing, chips superb, staff great. Ate there today again and already looking forward to coming back.

Extremely disappointing customer service. Ordered a lamb shawarma at the Alty market. Waitress comes to the table saying it’s the lamb shawarma. After a bite turns out it was veg and was for another family seated at the same table as us. Owner refused to take accountability for his waitresses’ mistake and made us pay for the lamb shawarma as well as for the other families veg meal once this had been reordered. As a business, he should’ve taken some responsibility for his staffs mistake and at least cover the costs for the other families meal, but instead insisted that we should cover the costs. Extremely poor attitudes.

Today was the first time I visited here on a day that I felt homesick, and I honestly can say the food authenticity was to perfection. The taste and flavour reminded me of home. Excellent customer service, and the food was so delicious. I'm certainly coming back.

Lamb Schwarma was cold, slimy and grossly overpriced and they don't seem to care. Won't eat from there again.

The proprietor is rude and refuses to take accountability for the poor service or terrible standard of food. If it were one of the other I wouldn't have bothered leaving a review, but the gall of this man to serve you cold, clammy food you've paid a substantial amount for and just flatly reject any feedback or criticisms is ludicrous. Honestly, if this is the way they run their business, I don't think it will last much longer. The owner should take a course in hospitality.

I do not recommend. Paid £15 for the shawarma. There was barely any meat, the flatbread was not warmed up and was shockingly poor quality. The overall dish came cold, and it had little to no flavour.

Was very disappointed when I ordered the potatoes from here😢 partner ordered nachos from another retailer in the hall, that arrived within 10 minutes, meanwhile I waited 30 mins for a small plate of potatoes, that hardly had any feta or sauce on, leaving them dry and not as tasty as I’d expect. I waited about 5 mins to place an order too, and although it was a busy day, I wasn’t even acknowledged or anything whilst stood waiting. Anyway, after waiting 30 mins for my food, I went up to ask for a refund as I had an appointment and couldn’t wait any longer. Anyway, I stood there for 5 mins again, and the food was sat there ready to come out, so I took it and didn’t ask for a refund, but really wish I had now after spending £7 on something that I could’ve made myself at home, which would’ve been much tastier and at a fraction of the price. I nearly turned round and told other customers in the queue waiting to order not to bother!!

The chef AJ was excellent , delicious food cooked to perfection , very tasty will definitely be returning thank you

Beautiful lamb, bread is fantastic, and the presentation is a feast for the eyes. Our go to every time we head to Altrincham.

Went here on Saturday and had a hugely overpriced chicken schwarma wrap that was, at best, tasteless and at worst, may have given me a bout of diarrhea. I've been on the toilet since. I would avoid at all (very expensive, £7 side potatoes) costs.

Chicken Shawarma Wrap, I’m a huge fan of the markets and everything within, even more of a fan of staying quiet when food doesn’t go your way or even downright dog food. However I draw the line at Rotten. My first bite of the wrap was met with a pungent smell of decomposed foul so bad VAR would have pulled it up, I tried to overcome thinking it may have been a palate clash with the delicious pico’s nachos, alas it was not to improve. After sidelining the dish, my friend in agreement with the rotten smell, took it upon himself to return to the former little window and raise the issue, unfortunately he was met with a “nothings wrong, our chicken is fresh, we can’t do anything for you” and sent on his way. Now like every other Gammon in Alty markets, there’s no fiscal motivation to complain, and a simple apologies you’re not happy may have even sufficed. Alas the basics failed. The food was rotten, the handling of the issue was akin. To the humans of Ruben’s - may you never encounter a wipe free stool ever again in your lives.

Cold, and obviously not fresh. Considering its £8.50 per wrap cannot be recommended
