Great little tea room in Rozelle park. Once again I opted for the club sandwich which was excellent. I also added the soup as it was one of my favourite ones. Had a slice of cake and a coffee. All very good and would highly recommend this tea room.

Always visit Rozelle when on holiday in the area and as always, were not disappointed. There were 10 of us in our party and we didn't book ahead but they found a table for us and squeezed us in. The food was fabulous and all homemade - I had a lovely jacket potato with prawns & chilli mayo followed by a delicious St Clements cake with cream. The staff were brilliant - really friendly and helpful.

A nice cafe to stop at while in the country park. Located in the basement of the main house. There was a nice choice of menu including some daily specials We ordered an Americano coffee and a pot of tea plus a slice of coconut and raspberry sponge cake and rhubarb pie with cream. The cakes were definitely home made and we were very delicious, so were the hot drinks Ladies and gents toilets were available here too Service was lovely and friendly as well. A really nice place to stop

I love Rozelle and we go regularly when we are up. You can sit outside in good weather or inside in all weathers. It's a vibrant, lively place and also has the calm of the gardens and the gallery. Good service, we had a mix up on our order which was quickly sorted out and the food is lovely. I usually always have the baked potato but could be tempted my the specials. I always have their coffee cake though, either to eat in or take away, it is the best.

Had a fantastic day there today with my family and thoroughly enjoyed walking in the woods. I took bird food with me and had numerous birds landing on my hand to take the seeds. The food in the restaurant was first class and we couldn't have had better service if we tried, once again, many thanks the management and staff for looking after us.

I came here especially after seeing a new dish being promoted on Facebook, Pear, Blue cheese and Walnut Crostini. I booked in advance, which is advisable and was shown to my table outside. I had just come from a walk at Greenan beach to see the castle, so had pockets full of shells and pebbles, it must have looked a bit odd when I put them on the table!! It was a relief to sit down and relax and enjoy my food at my own pace, I had two coffees and also had to go for the homemade rhubarb pie, everything was delicious, and efficient team of waitresses, especially handling a busy summer's day afternoon, with lots of people wanting to dine. I will purposely visit this cafe again when in Ayr next

Visited here on Father's Day with my family for the first time and was not disappointed. The food was lovely and so were the staff. Great selection of specials and cakes. Called with family again last week and once again we were blown away with the quality of the food and the service that we received. Our party comprised of six adults and three children and everyone cleared their plates. Can't understand why previous customers have written negative reviews about the staff as we found the service to be first class, we wouldn't hesitate to eat there again in the future, well done to all concerned.

Overpriced. Crammed in. Not relaxing in the least and drafty. Staff mostly don't seem to care and disgusted to hear a member of staff swearing under her breath near to my children as a customer didn't now where to pay. Give it a miss. Other much better cafes closeby. Sorry to be so negative as pirate exhibition in the house was great and a huge thanks to the fab staff who couldn't do enough.

Arrived at 3.45 pm to be informed that the tearoom shut at 4pm however we were "allowed" to stay! Service was stilted and rude and clearly she was put out that she still had to serve us (didn't get her name), although three other people were served after us! An English accent is clearly not liked!Plenty of nice naughty treats and cakes to choose from. Shocked at the price - this place is expensive and cannot understand why? A small pot of tea between two with a slice of cake each came to £11. DID WONDER WHETHER MY ACCENT DOUBLED THE PRICE?! Never again and NOT recommended.

Not family friendly at all. Food and drink is fine but not worth it for the very poor customer service. Obviously they do not want children in the premises as we were told to wait in the hall and pushed out of the way.

Lovely little tearoom which is sadly let down by rude waiting staff. It was very busy at the time of our visit, with all tables full, but absolutely no excuse to treat customers like they are an inconvenience. What we had was nice, but we left feeling angry and upset at how we were treated. For this reason I would not recommend.

Called with family earlier this week, the building itself looks run down from the outside but we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food that we all recieved. The only down side to our visit was that whilst sitting outside in the sunshine we were joined at the next table by a family that had two French Bulldogs that snorted like pigs, we felt like moving inside but decided to stay and suffer the snorting, we will think twice about eating outside again when we go back. Well worth a second visit.

Disappointing visit here on Sunday morning. Subjected to a prolonged fire alarm.....staff member stated it was a test but only after I enquired. ....it appeared not...as a male member of kitchen staff could be seen frantically wafting a teatowel in the kitchen. Also endured prolonged noise of coffee beans being ground. Far from a relaxing visit. Please note.....if you order a decaf coffee....you are served an instant coffee.....as I later learned from an employee at Rozelle Tearooms.

Me encantó. I popped in here today while attending the Goudie Tam O'Shanter exhibition. My intention was to have a coffee only but the smell of the kitchen got the better of me and remembering I had yet to have lunch I sat down to peruse the menu. While awaiting my order I tasted some of their Americano coffee while was infinitely better than the mush served in these Barista coffee houses. After a wait of only a few minutes my Club Sandwich duly arrived, looking much better that I expected - chicken, bacon, mayo on toasted bread and salad leaves done in a very tasty dressing. A few crisps also graced the plate. It was the best Club Sandwich I have ever had and on leaving I suggested to the waitress that a plate of this be placed in the gallery above as it could only be described as a work of art. She departed to pass this on to the chef. What more is there to say?

Drawn to this venue by Goudie's Tam O'Shanter painting exhibition and thought lunch would be in order before viewing the paintings. Outside of the building is scruffy and weeds are growing out the gutters above the front door. We descended down a scruffy narrow stair to be met by walls decorated with 'graffiti-style' artwork - reminiscent of a 1980's youth club. The café area is in a room with barred windows which had us looking for the fire escape and the overall impression was that it needed freshening up.Very pleasant and attentive staff but the food was expensive for what we got. Started with soup, which was tasty but portion control is seriously tight - half-filled bowls and one slice of bread. The sandwiches featured bread that didn't excite, the coleslaw came in miniscule portions and we were left thinking that we should have spent our cash elsewhere. The coffee was tasty and piping hot - probably the highlight of our visit. So in a nutshell - Couldn't recommend it and certainly will not be back. Still feeling sore about the final bill.

We had been walking around Rozelle grounds and the 2020:vision display in the morning and fancied a light lunch. We were round the back of the gallery building and saw people having coffee outside so decided to investigate, What a little gem we found - seating about 30-people inside, the cafe offers a comprehensive range of light lunches - we had home made minestrone soup served with a toasted open "sandwich" - I had the bacon and cheese. It was delicious and satisfying - so much so that we could not avail ourselves of the huge cake selection. This is a good reason to back along with the reasonable prices and good service.

We pitched up, after walking the dog, and sat outside (dog friendly, child friendly patio/lawn). We ordered coffee and cake - and the conversation flowed. Two hours later we ordered lunch. Not many places you can do this and still feel welcome! The soups and paninis are great but the cakes are to die for! Rozelle Park is one of Ayr's gems. It is firstly a largish park suitable for relaxed excercise, sport, photography, dog walking or just feeding the ducks with the kids. At the centre is Rozelle House, primarily a very good Art exhibition facility. Entrance is free. At the rear is Rozelle Tearooms. Here you can get take away beverages and ices etc. to supplement your picnic or you can sit inside or out for a more traditional meal or snack. The staff are very friendly, the premises are really clean and the food is varied country fare, which is of a high standard for the price paid. A very flexible and friendly establishment for that less formal midday meal.
