Royal Spice Hartlebury in Wychavon

Lovely food, friendly/pleasant staff. Mostly trainees so service poor, not as attentive as you would expect, also mistake with my order. Staff not walking the room frequently enough or scanning the room to see if customers need anything. We must have waited more than 20 minutes for our starter plates to be cleared and cutlery to be brought to our table. This restaurant has only been open for about a week, we believe it has great potential, we will be going back in a month or so to see what progress has been made.

Well this restaurant gets 10/10 from me, popped in for a quick dinner as was staying in a travel lodge near by for work, was super impressed with the quality of food and the service from the waiting staff, having traveled in Nepal a couple of times this is the most authentic Nepali I’ve eaten I’ve in the uk! Super lovely staff and really good value. Will be back without a doubt next I’m in the area

Going down hill.... Never had bad food eating in....but takeaway is awful.... Over years I've come back and forth with this restaurant as in their day they are one of the best in the area... unfortunately when it comes to takeaways the quality goes down the pan..... Sorry won't be returning again

It's my favorite Indian around. The staff are so friendly and welcoming , they are great with my son. Food is the best I've tasted , the chicken tikka massala is nice and creamy with the most soft chicken. The nann bread is hot fluffy and crunchy all at the same time! Hubby has a pathia and he also says its the best , tasty and spicey and just to his liking!

I want to thank Royal Spice and inparticular Abs for their over and above service. I left my wallet in the restaurant after we went there for dinner on the way home from my newphews graduation. I contacted the restaurant who informed me they weren't able to get hold of me, not only did they keep my wallet safe but requested my address in London and sent it via recorded delivery. Thank you

The wife and I paid a visit very early on a Friday night. Even then there was a few other diners in which was a good sign. As soon as we had sat down they wanted to take our drinks order. I asked if he could give us a couple of minutes but he just stood there. What was the rush. Anyway I ordered a Kingfisher and got a Cobra but no matter. It's the first pint I've had that had got ice crystals in it. The poppadoms arrived and just a few minutes after so did the shared onion bhaji which they kindly put on to two salad plates. Service was attentive but we felt rushed. Our plates being cleared as so as the knife and fork went down. The mains coming out within a few minutes. Unfortunately they had got the order wrong with both meals. They forgot the saag in my pathia, conversely the wife's 'dupiaza with a little saag' was full of the stuff. This watered down the gravy which therefore tasted a bit thin. The sides were fine. From start to finish was 30 minutes so I took my time while the Cobra warmed up a bit. We didn't bother with a dessert but I noticed the children's Punky was reasonably priced for once. The bill was quite good and there are no problems with parking.

I can’t give stars for this place, because when we entered the restaurant at about 2030hrs, the restaurant was empty. We asked for a table for 2…. Within a minute we were turned out, delivery only!!!! My other half took me there because she was over the moon by the restaurant and the food & service. My experience after being turned away, I will not go back. The attitude was we don’t care.

Excellent service. Lovely, tasty hot food. I had chicken Balti with Pilau rice and naan bread, all were great, served with a pint of kingfisher for £18 . What more can you say .

Ordered takeaway/delivery a few times now and every time, there’s something not quite right. This was the last time we’ll ever order. Mint sauce was off, lamb chops were hard grisly and tasted awful, curry watery with rock hard meat, cheese nan had no cheese. Most of it went straight in the bin. Waste of £30.

Great restaurant with very friendly staff. Good range of beer, including Holden's Golden Glow.

Visited tonight 22.10.23, staff attentive and food piping hot whilst eating at travelodge. I ordered. A lamb balti and keema naan! All piping hot on arrival back. No gristle on meat! Piping hot naan! Great meal for the price £12. If your a bit peckish in travelodge please use these guys I could not fault it! Had better but at a high price! £12 meal fantastic please use these guys as you will not be dissapounted! Keep up the good work lads!

Absolutely love this place , they guys are so warm and friendly and there food is amazing and very tasty . And omg there nann breads are the best when you eat in! Big fluffy , a little crisp. My fav. I deffo recommend anybody to go sit in and try here 🙂

Ordered a takeaway, as I was stoping in a Airbnb. The sharing platter was very tasty and cooked very well, I loved the samosa! Main was delicious and a very generous portion. I had to leave very specific instructions to the driver as where I was stoping was a B road and not easy to find. This was no problem and delivered quickly and easily. Definitely recommend this restaurant/takeaway.

What a bonus this place is if you’re staying in the travelodge 100 yds away . Lovely food served at a reasonable price

Brilliant meal and great service.

Having seen the great reviews I thought I would give them a try as I was staying nearby. Ordered for collection, meal was ready on time but thats where the good ends. Ordered boiled rice, this was missing Ordered a chef's special, basically a few bits of chicken and a lot of onion in a sweet chilli sauce. This came with a separate bag of sliced raw onion. Almost broke a tooth on the big chunk of bark. I also ordered cheesy chips as I figured if the rest wasn't nice I could eat them and be satisfied but a paper bag with fries that were not even hot enough to melt the tiny portion of grated cheese was not what I expected. How the heck have they got good reviews from people???????

Typical Indian cuisine, good Naan, poppadoms but main dishes a little disappointing, perfectly edible but nothing outstanding.

Me and the wife went for the first time last the restaurant was clean and tidy. We both had starters wife had scallops and was very disappointing only 2 scollaps and a few lettice leaves her main meal was sizzling prawns when it came there must have been 1lb of onions and only 6 prawn .I had special balti which was also disappointing 4 pieces of chicken 4 pieces of lamb and the smallest prawn I have ever had at a indian restaurant.

You couldn't wish for finer food with fabulous staff that will cater your every need...

Celebrated my birthday and could easily seat a table for 12. Excellent service and friendly staff. Always have a good meal here.

We were a party of 14, service was quick and courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The chicken madras was the best I’d ever tasted mainly because the chicken was so tender, the naan bread was also the best I’d ever had, very light not doughy & heavy as some can be. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Food was stunning, meal deal for two is such good value. Our server kept our glasses topped up with the bottle of Indian wine we bought which was also delicious. Very friendly staff, tasty food at a great price which made two tired travellers staying at the travel lodge behind very happy. Will definitely come again!

Top restaurant....Great service ,food was as usual spot on........well worth a visit.

Recently moved to the area and tested out most of the local options for a curry. Royal Spice won by some distance. Have been trying a different dish every time and everything has been quality. Lamb and meat are always tender, king prawns are big and we'll cooked. Arrives quickly and hot. Can't recommend highly enough.

Stayed at Travelodge next door for Safari park, very, very tasty good value food (and drink) served by friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Cold food, half missing - Terrible customer service - don’t bother order from Entourage instead!

Stopped nearby for work and panicked as limited food options but these guys were fantastic, fitted me in as a walk in straight away and nothing was too much trouble! freshly cooked food good beer and a chat whilst I was at it. Hopefully I will be down that way again soon to same a few different dishes. Thanks again gents was lovely!

Very nice food and good value

Ordered a takeaway online was delivered on time but found starter missing rang restaurant background noise was so bad they couldn’t hear me and I had problems hearing them, explained the problem and was asked if they could give it me free next how do they work that out when I’d already paid for it told them there wouldn’t be a next time then my husband told me the meal he had wasn’t the one he Ordered and I ordered a Biryanis which was spicy hot which wasn’t what I wanted very disappointed as have been and had meals at this restaurant before and always good food and service we will not be going to them again and wouldn’t recommend for take aways Sadly

Extremely rude staff, me and 4 staff came in after a long days work and got spoken to like animals.2 hours to go before 10 PM and because we where not local got told to leave.

Great flavours. Unusual Pashwari Nan bread with the centre coconut Tumeric and Indian spices. The Prawns in the Dansak were tender rather than overcooked as they often are. Pleasant Sag Aloo

Ate there last night. The best Indian we have in a long long time. Food and service excellent. Discovered an Indian sparkling wine too! Our second visit this week, still as good, excellent food and lovely Indian sparkling wine!!

Really really disappointed, after reading all the fantastic reviews we thought we would try this place. Food was delivered quickly which was great, but the food on the other hand was absolutely disgusting, no taste to it whatsoever, really watery, nan bread wasn't even cooked properly as dough was still raw. We threw pretty much all of it away as couldn't even force ourselves to eat it as it was all that bad.

First visit food very average and the place very cold ,they put is in a corner right by the window my partner was so cold he was shivering they brought a heater but it did not help that much

Delicious authentic Indian food Really enjoyed

We have eaten here several times since my review below. The standard of food has been consistently excellent. We will certainly continue to visit for meals in and takeaways. 5 of us ate here last night (Friday). We all ate different dishes, including Mixed Grill, Dansak and Jalfrezi. I asked for a King Prawn Jalfrezi and I have never seen so many prawns in one dish! They were perfectly cooked and the sauce was absolutely delicious. The waiter took note of everyone’s individual requirements for spiciness and everyone was very satisfied with the outcome. The service was beyond reproach and the ambience was very comfortable. This was our third visit and we have had several takeaways. Clearly we are fans or we wouldn’t keep returning. We are very pleased to have found The Royal Spice and we look forward to our next visit. Long live the kings of spice!

Really nice, food was fab and didnt seem to take too long. There was 8 of us, some people prefering less spicy food but even the fussiest eater was pleased with the food. Lovely staff, I would go back and recommend to friends.

FABULOUS! Only started to go to this place couple of months ago and it's become our most fave Indian. We drive there from Kidderminster and it's worth! No matter how busy they are, you don't have to wait for food more than 25-30 minutes and the service is excellent.

Excellent evening out at this recently opened restaurant which is located at the old site of the Little Chef near the Travel Lodge on the dual carriageway, so you will need transport to get there. We all had different meals and enjoyed them very much. I especially liked the Royal Garlic Sicillion. We will definitely visit again.
