Every table in restaurant was full but only one had food, told our food was now ready but 15 minutes later still nothing so told waiter this was completely unacceptable and walked out.You have been warned

I very much doubt the kitchen is used to cooking traditional curry's Quite possibly the worst curry I've been served The naan are not cooked in a clay, I would guess they are cooked in a pizza oven as they came out tasting like naan but looking like pizza bases My curry was swimming in olive oil!! I've never had a curry cooked in olive oil, let alone swimming in it. Maybe they had ran out of ghee I sent the curry back, and it was simply stirred around and brought back, and so I sat and watched the olive oil tide come flooding back in much like the Irish sea upon Blackpool beach To top it off, a child was then sent with our with the hope I believe we would just pay Avoid

I nearly went with a one. Just the strangest Indian meal I’ve ever had. Met by a guy at the door who seemed annoyed that we wouldn’t sit in the window as we were the first ones in and he clearly wanted other people to see us dining. When we asked to sit further back (it was freezing and the front door was open with stag and hen parties wobbling past every two minutes) he finally gave us menus with red crosses over a third of it. The same guy then proceeded to take our order, had no idea what anything was and didn’t know whether the meals came with anything. He went and asked two children (I’m not kidding) sitting behind the bar and I could audibly hear him getting annoyed with them. He finally came back and said “it comes with a naan” and huffed and puffed as we ordered some rice. He didn’t bring our drinks until we asked and appeared completely flustered when a second and third table came into the restaurant. There was no atmosphere whatsoever. No music. It was like dining in a library. When the food came there was no naan. Were in not for the chap out of the kitchen (who inexplicably was wearing a T-shirt from the pizza place next door) who was extremely apologetic and got the naan eventually we would have walked out. He was also the reason we didn’t give a one. The food was…well food. Nothing offensive. Nothing to write home about. We ate it. As a fourth table entered the restaurant we asked for the bill. We could hear the second table complaining about no drinks and the third table complaining that they had not taken their order as we paid quickly and made a hasty exit. Just a completely strange experience. It seemed to be in the hands of a new owner which presumably was the guy who met us at the start. Weird.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. 6 of us ate here last night and all of us thoroughly enjoyed all of our food. Waiting staff were brilliant. The food was fresh and so flavoursome. I can highly recommend the lamb chettinad and the Goan fish curry was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back next time we come to Blackpool

Me, my wife and little son went to the shamla tonight, the service was great and the food was even better. The best tikka masala and pint (cobra) I’ve had in years! Would 100% recommend and will be back again when visiting Blackpool.

This was our second visit to Zest of India, with another one of our friends, and as locals I have to say it’s got to be the best Indian cuisine by far here in Blackpool! Not only that, the staff are amazing, so friendly & chatty. The chef/owner actually comes out & talks to the customers. Last night he personally went to each individual table asking if we enjoyed our meal & asked how we all were. Fantastic food, cleanliness top rate & staff first class. Also it was nice not to feel rushed while eating. Highly recommend!!!

The food and service are very good but…Please be aware that the little boy taking orders likes to share your personal details over social media. Be wary of what information you give them.

Terrible, I've just ordered a masala and it came with two tiny bits of chicken. It was all sauce, won't be ordering from here again.
