Decent place for a pint with a very nice tasting Strongbow original, the kitchen was under construction but there were sandwiches for sale.

Landed here with a gang from Bangor on a Saturday afternoon. What a nice pub, staff so friendly & customers lovely, our one pint a pub soon changed to four on arriving here. Well done Royal Oak 👍👍👍👍

Fantastic pub, really friendly locals and amazing food!! Lamb shank was absolutely stunning and my wife had the steak - cooked to perfection and great quality, you get what you pay for! Both absolutely stuffed when we'd finished and looking forward to eating there again. Dog friendly dining area if you're with your four legged friend 🐾

Smithfield StreetI only went to the bar, the cellar bar, so this review is not about the hotel. The bar was cosy, super-warm thanks to a gorgeous wood burning stove - which is a real plus in this weather - and they served a nice IPA. Definitely a good find, I'll go back on my next visit for sure!
