Great food,full of flavour. Definitely my favourite indian takeaway.

Had to throw it out as dishes that are normally mild were way too hot! Did not enjoy at all.

Mango chutney like water popadom cold and stale hardy any onions in onion bajhi and nann bread was burnt and I won’t be ordering from there again

I’ve never seen so much grease in a take out! The bag had a cm of grease in the bottom of the bag. It was impossible to dish up without getting oil everywhere. I had to clean up several times before I could even start my food and the popadoms were not nice at all. I wasn’t impressed. I ordered from them because they had 4.6 stars, but I honestly can’t see how they got that. I don’t like writing a bad review because I understand how crucial reviews are for business, but I felt I had to.

I’m very disappointed. I ordered for the first time here looking at the good reviews but the food was extremely late. I’ve been waiting for over an hour and when I called the restaurant to tell them that the app stated it has been delivered they said that they are stuck in traffic. I’m annoyed that they even said the food was delivered when it was not. The food was tasteless and I had to add my own seasoning. Won’t be ordered again.

We order regularly and have always had excellent meals. Tonight, mine had a very strange chemical/perfume taste, both the peshwari naan and a chicken curry dish. Very odd and I couldn't eat it. Disappointing because it's usually lovely.

Driver delivered to wrong address and the restaurant told me to go and find the address the driver had gone to and get my food. He was so rude and unhelpful

Delivery never turned up. Called the restaurant to chase and was told it was already delivered to number 16. I live at number 32! I was told to go and collect it from No.16! Absolute joke!

Don’t often leave reviews, but Royal India deserves one. I ordered for collection - the greeting I received was excellent. I arrived a little early, so had a couple of minutes to chat with the owner. He was very kind, and really friendly. Can see why this place has been going for over 20 years! The food was absolutely lovely as well - the Tikka Masala in particular. Will be using these for every Indian we get moving forward. Thanks for a great service 👍🏻

Worst Indian food I’ve ever had! Extremely dry, onion bhajis tasted like they were from the freezer section in Asda, and to top it off I ordered a jalfrezi and got something that definitely wasn’t a jalfrezi. Not even sure the bin enjoyed it! Avoid at all costs!

Vindaloo was just spicy and bland, no flavour at all and lamb tikka was ok. It was the “ award winning” story that made me stray from my usual curry house. I wouldn’t order from here again unfortunately. It wasn’t to my taste

Only trouble was that we had a phone call to tell us to go to the door and walk over to a wall to pick it up, instead of him going round, so our house cat got out as we had to leave the door ajar.

Chicken was very dry and chewy. ordered a chicken tikka and rogan josh had about 3 bits of meat in each dish. I phoned the restaurant to add mushrooms the manager said no. The quality of food very disappointing. Thrown all of it in the bin.

Never actually been the the restaurant always do takeaways! I cannot lie, I was shocked to see 3.2 rating. The food is always absolutely delicious, tasty and fresh! Delivery time is pretty much always very quick, the gentleman I speak to on the phone always asks how we are, very very very lovely restaurant, great chef and will always order from here, we always scrape our plates clean. Took just under 2 hours from ordering to delivery. It was Saturday night but come on guys, we are paying a premium for convenience. Food was very enjoyable but if you want repeat business then 90 mins should be the absolute max.

Sadly this is the last time I’ll be using this takeaway. Granted it was New Year’s Eve so I appreciate they would have been busy - but the quality of the food was dreadful. The food had more oil on it than the entire reserves of Venezuela and was distinctly lacking in the main ingredients you actually pay for — the fact that it was cold on arrival didn’t help either. Everyone who had some food has had the equivalent of a colonoscopy preparation shake. Brutal

Ordered a Biryani and pathia, main, the chicken in both was completely dried out Given that’s the main ingredient to both dishes, it has to be right Also ordered a Sheek kebab and that was also really dry. Got to keep your eye on the food chef ?

Ordered two dishes which tasted like dessert rather than savory. The butter chicken was very very soupy and sweet. Also hardly any chicken pieces. The spinach and paneer dish was extremely sweet. I'm diabetic and both dishes are not for my usage. I called the takeaway who wasn't helpful at all, so will contact JustEat.

I ordered the chicken madras and it was completely flavourless, the spice was there but there was no kind of seasoning in the sauce and to go with it I had some pilau rice that was not soft whatsoever.

Do not order from here. Food didn’t turn up. Argued with us that they delivered it and said that maybe your mother collected it. We don’t even live with any old people! Person on the other line rude and tried accusing us of trying to steal about £20 worth of curry. Save yourself the bother

Avoid! They delivered my food to the wrong address and accused me of lying about receiving the curry. Refused to refund me and very rude on the phone. Terrible customer service!!!!

Ordered achari tandorri “king prawn” - It was not king prawn utterly shocked what has been delivered almost like half cut crab sticks! See pictures So gutted as ordered from here before and been great. First time ordered a king prawn dish and it’s not!

Far too much grease and oil in the food. Worst tasting vindaloo (which also had no spice at all) and peshwari naan I've ever had. Biryani was also terrible.

It wasn’t as good as it usually Is! The lamb was chewy and over done also the cheese in the sag paneer was awful pieces of rubber that tasted awful, the rice to was very hot when usually it’s only mild so overall I didn’t enjoy my meal at all.

We were missing a starter. I called as soon as the food arrived. Call was cut off without any confirmation that they would deliver. missing item arrived as we had finished our meal. Delivery man handed me a bag and said nothing. Sorry: I couldn't help myself as he ran down the stairs: I said 'no apology ... no worries' disappointing as we have be using this take away directly for nearly 20 year
