Royal Dunkeld Hotel in Perth & Kinross

After waiting nearly 1hour for our meals which were lasagna, and a beef bugger(I think)

Poor service. No receptionist available for the trip. My bathroom plumbing was awful. NO fan, toilet not flushing properly and not at all after a shower, also no cold wate for a lon gtime after a shower. My dog needed a drink and no cold water was available. The romm was located on the 3rd loor which with a dog is not good. Will not be back. Also no kettle in room for making tea, had to go down 3 floors to request this.

One menu displayed outside, much more limited version inside, only 4 items. Pasta very poor. Waiter friendly however.

A great hotel with a great atmosphere. A nice historical venue. Will certainly be going back.

What an interesting stay this second night in Scotland was. We arrived a wee bit after check in time and the super nice lady at check in said our room wasn’t ready, that’s ok we can look around the town. An hour later checked back in and room still wasn’t ready, we decided to wait in office. Apparently a housekeeper had quit and they were super short handed. I totally understand it can be extremely hard finding help in small towns, no big deal. After two hours though our patience was wearing thin especially when there’s come in and get a room right away! At 6:30 our room was ready, we go up three flights of stairs and end up in a space less taken care of and piles of dirty sheets in the hallway! It was a comedy at this time! While I appreciate the front desk girl whom I’m pretty sure was cleaning the whole place by herself I was not impressed by our night stay! The price is good for what you get, so don’t expect much. Parking is terrible, we paid to park down a block. We didn’t partake of breakfast because the cleanliness did not give us high hopes. Dunkeld is a small village and though cute is not worth a place on vacation.

we dropped in for a quick coffee in the Royal Dunkeld local a local pub within the hotel everything you want in a good local, friendly bar man quick with a greeting and quick service, the other server was also lovely and friendly, we also ordered chips which were delicious. also dog friendly😀

I only have experience with the restaurant, not the rooms. I bring several groups a year to Dunkeld and this is the one place I tell them not to eat. The only group I've taken there was last year to listen to music, which was good. A few in our group tried to eat dinner after they said they could accommodate some of us. The service was terrible and the food took over two hours in some cases. Some never got their food at all, and the restaurant closed with no explanation. Others had several drinks added to their bills that they never ordered. When I tried to find out the status of our dinners or get any kind of help, no employee could be found.

We were traveling from Oxford to Dornoch and desperately needed to stop and sleep. The barman who was on checked for us and found the last room in the hotel. We are so grateful to this man as he went above and beyond for us. Thank you to all the staff next morning for there service

Not as clean as it could be, bathrooms very small, staff are friendly and helpful. Food ok but nothing to write home about.

Myself and husband been here on many occasions this been first I've found it disappointing. NO shower wash along with no milk wall paper hanging off the wall .Waited ages to be served at the bar with no avail no hand wash in toilet.

Our room was very small. Would've been good to have fresh fruit at breakfast. Lovely and quiet and the staff were all professional and kind.

Good straightforward pub. Good value Good service
