Royal China in Northampton

Just been rated worst place in Northampton for food hygiene by the council… 27/11/23 Article in the local paper says live cockroaches in the kitchen and dirty everywhere… AVOID!!

Assuming this is the restournat that goes by "old china" on food delivery services, The food is great, they recently left uber eats which is a bummer but can still order through other delivery services

My friend and I went here as our usual was closed. Unfortunately I won't return. The sweet and sour sauce was like jelly and the salt and chilli chicken was definitely not the normal standard that I am used to. Sad to say we were all disappointed.

4th order from here and last night made me come here for a review. I asked for their suggestion as I wanted to try something new and spicy and they suggested I try the house special rice and turns out it's the best ever! 👌🏾 reminds me of the ones in China Town. Will highly recommend if you fancy something hot and tasty.

Recogió menú, pensando que era para nuestra comida para llevar local! La comida era horrible y falta entregado a la salsa. Llamó por teléfono y me dijeron que ellos serían rápidamente. 20 minutos más tarde y sin ninguna indicación. Llamé de nuevo y me parecía sorprendido habían hablado conmigo! Comida bien por debajo de lo normal y fría. No volvería. Ojalá pudiera dar menos de 1 estrellas. . . . . .

Evitar a toda costa, pedí carne szeusen no saben, como no sabían cómo cocinar. Sin comer? ? O más específicamente ¿. . . .

New management. New menu. Spicy food is superb!

I see there's one good review from 3 years ago. When you look on the menu about the awards received, last one is three years ago. I so wish that I had read the reviews even though only two. Do not buy from them absolutely awful, i ordered the Chiefs special 250 with gravy (i love Chinese gravy) , it was water no flavour, and the so called fried rice dry, beef to chewy to eat. Never again like my son said! Avoid

Second time I used this place they forgot part of my order that I collected the called to tell me I said I could not return as I was nearly home and the rest of the food would be cold although there driver left "right away" it took them over 45 minuets to deliver. Tonight we ordered the curry was cold stodge with no flavour burnt chips and spring rolls "we have a new chef" they sent a replacement curry but expected us to use the cold rice sent previously! Both times although they claim to offer "free" items on orders above a set amount we have never received them!
