I don’t know why this place is allowed to stay open after being given zero stars. No wonder I was ill last time I had food from here.

Got food poisoning. Later food out they had 0 star food hygene rating.

Delicious food, never had a problem

Got small munchie box was hard and lukewarm. Won’t be returning waste of money

Best around. Always fresh alway beautiful and never missing items. On form! never had a 'bad one' and we are regulars.

Has to be one of the worst Chinese takeaways hubby & I have ever had. So much so just couldnt eat it. Disappointing as we decided to give it a chance.

Just love the food sent wrong order once but when phoned them they were at my home within 15 minutes with the right order and was lovely. Keep the standard open .

Ordered liver& bacon meal for myself and wife something different was delivered about 45 mins when opened my meal just container of liver 2 small pieces of bacon no pease or chips

Always a fantastic meal, great portions and value for money. Very efficient and quick service from phone call to picking takeaway up. Highly recommend this takeaway.

Ordered online at 6pm, quoted 1hr 15mins for delivery. Rang at 740pm to be told it was on its way, would be 5 mins, and to have patience. Rang again at 8.05pm said they would ring the driver. Rang us back and said its on its way he will be 5mins. At this point it's been in the car at least 30mins so we expecting it to be cold by now, it's now 8.25pm and we still havent had any food. Wouldnt order again.

We are regulars at this takeaway and have never had any problems. However last night when we ordered our food arrived cold. We had already rung twice to ask where our order was as it was about 1 hour and 45 mins later. I ordered online and it had said an hour, which is fair enough given the icy roads. We are only 5 mins drive from there , so we wouldn't of expected our food to arrive being cold. Due to being disabled, we are unable to walk to collect ourselves. After the first phone call, we were told they were waiting for the driver to come back to the shop to collect our order and it wouldn't be long. We waited another 15 mins before my Husband made the second call. During the 15 mins between calls, he noticed a car driving up and down at least 4 times and he mentioned this. He was told that the driver was at least 5 mins away so it wouldn't be him. Funnily enough 2 mins after the call ended, the same car turned up with our food and offered the explanation of there were only two drivers working tonight so it was busy, when my Husband asked if he had got lost looking for our home. When we were serving up the food it was cold and as I am Diabetic, it wasn't worth me ringing to complain as by the time the food would of been resent, it would of messed up my blood sugar more. I tried to complain through Big Foodie, but their website kept freezing. Such a shame as we love this takeaway usually

First time we have used Royal chef, had it delivered, food was stone cold chicken curry was slimy and the chips were as dry as anything. Definitely wouldn't recommend and won't be ordering anything else. Sorry

Just eat give mr collection time but whrn got there they hadnt even started it had to stand outside over an hour n wait very poor

Won't be ordering again. Sweet and Sour chicken balls very soggy, chips very soggy and tasteless fried rice. Delivered very cold and needed reheating.

Disgraceful, would not honour Just Eat 20% discount, demanded full price even though it was printed out on their own receipt. Pure greed, 0 out of 10 for customer service they dont deserve any business. Will never ever go back. Expensive menu compared to other local takeaway.

Special curry is the best lots of meat and three big prawns and great curry sauce

Food is spot on. I got the mixed meat special and it's the best I've had out of around 30 places.

While staying in the area at a hotel for a few days this week I called in for a menu as I fancied a takeaway. I had to grab the attention of the lady sitting Behind the Counter playing on her telephone. While I waited for her to respond I quickly scanned round the shop and was horrified to see half cooked chips in a tray waiting to be warmed up underneath this tray was a shelf with silver foil containers with precooked meat in it and pre-cooked rice waiting to be reheated. None of this food was covered or refrigerated and could easily be seen from in front of the counter. I asked if i could take a menu and left the shop never to return. I would never have a home delivery from a takeaway without first going to see it for myself first. So if you use this place for home delivery I urge you please go and see it for yourself you may change your mind.

When ordered food tonight the prawn crackers were dried out and smelt of damp.. the food was rock hard and the chips were uncooked. We are regular customers and order at least twice a month as a treat and i rang them to acknowledge them not asking them for a refund or replacement. She told me that there food is very good quality that she had ribs in front of her that were not hard so mine couldn’t of been yet we couldn’t eat them and she said if it’s such an issue then please do not return to our Chinese take away again.. so 5 star for the customer service... NOT the person answering the phone is the most ignorant person I’ve ever met and will definitely change where we spend our money!!!!!

First time using this takeaway and all I can say is excellent our food was delivered in the time given nice and hot. We ordered the set meal for 2 with choice of mains plenty of food cooked well and tasty. Will definatly recommend and use again.

We ordered our food. On the menu it did not state that the noodles came in sauce, so I ordered beef and noodles no sauce.. what did It come with? Sauce. We rang up the restaurant and on the other end of the phone was a unhelpful person who basically called my partner a liar that it wasn’t on the menu. I had to suffer eating some horrid food because they can’t state facts! 100% never eating from here again!! Let alone I am allergic to specific foods so it was a risk anyway as we didn’t know the ingredients in it!

Has improved a lot over the last yr or so

First time ordering from here and the food was beautiful! Every dish was hot and delicious. All my kids loved it too so will be ordering from here every time now.

Liver and chips is gorgeous, Curry is errrm, a bit bland and the beef was chewy. Fresh chips though (not frozaen)

Very slow,took 2 hours for chips and curry sauce x3 and mini veg spring rolls.

Great food now its under new management, the best Chinese around west Auckland by far. Try the thai curry..

i ordered food and it was cold they told me i would get a full replacement and then when i rang them up said i cud have one free meal meaning just one item and i would have to pay delivery for the order i told them i have read citizens advice website it states there have to replace all what i ordered or my money back the manager told me she will still not do this so i will have to take them to Cort if she dose not comply whit the uk law if she ignores citizens advice letter DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE THE BEEF WAS RAW AS WELL AND I TOLD THIS TO HER FOR THE SAKE OF A FREE MEAL SHES WILLING TO GO TO CORT FOR THIS AGAIN DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE
