Poor customer service. Cut off phone while ordering twice .

Curry sauce tastes like soap, everything below tepid temperature even though it was ready 15 minutes after ordering. Chips taste like they’ve been out all day.

Terrible. Wrong order, burnt chips, inedible and had to go in bin. An unfortunate waste of money. This place used to be top draw.

The meat was so tough I could not eat it and very bland the food did come piping hot but no taste. This Chinese used to be the best around such a shame i thought the golden wok up the road was bad but it’s the best Chinese takeaway in blackhall now. Won’t be returning.

Very bland no flavour, sweet and sour sauce for the chicken balls was like a jelly, duck curry was like something out a packet.

First review I’ve ever done… don’t normally like to complain but this was rank. Writing this whilst on the lavvy, the salt and pepper chicken was chewy and tasteless. Chicken shouldn’t ever be chewy. The chips were like gandhis flip flop and my partners cashew nut chicken had a lump of jelly in it. Stomachs paying now…. Don’t order this… go to McDonald’s and get some nuggets

Lovely food chicken fried rice with chunks of chicken in was delicious and sweet and sour chicken was lovely we have eaten a few times out of here and never had a bad meal yet

I used this Chinese for years and it was the best however this is no longer the case cold bland food has replaced once delicious meals special curry is now chicken and prawn and £1.00 dearer than the menus chicken and prawn curry Perhaps the chef has changed but I will not be back

Used to go here quite regularly but I think this will be the last time. Waited for almost an hour for a few portions of chips and gravy, which weren't cooked very well and the gravy was like tar. Not a lot of vegetarian options either, you can have vegetables... or vegetables.

This one of the worst takeaways in the area. Chicken is the square pre cooked variety and the curry is bland and looks warmed up. Places like this rely on deluded customers who would consider this their go to takeaway as they've always gone here. The few times I've bought food from here I've always been disappointed everything seems pre cooked and then heated up. The trend of poor quality take away food is unfortunately alive and well in blackhall and the surrounding area, don't we deserve more for our hard earned cash?

Disgusting. Chips weren't cooked properly and the curry was watery. The prawn crackers must had been cooked days before. Won't be eating there again.

Do you deliver to Yorkshire..... 6 meals and you had us beat,,cracking food ,next time we are visiting the area we will be calling in.

Very generous portions, decent quality food, very reasonably priced. My meal came to £8 and could have fed 3 people.

Always top service and great food too

In my experience, having tried most of the local chinese takeaways, the blackhall wok is far and away the best in the area. I have tried a lot of dishes and all are fantastic. I have also recommended the wok to a lot of my friends and have yet to hear a bad word about it.
