Within the past two weeks I've been here and can I just say I highly recommend coming here if you need a bite to eat ,friendly staff who work ever so hard to deliver your meal to your table etc with friendly polite customer service you always see people work hard and get their job done even when it's busy they try their best for their customers . Thank you for making my stay for my food a place to go for something to eat .

Great maccies! Food was lovely and hot although the queue was high for the drive through, it moved along really quickly. Staff were very polite

I ordered 2 double cheeseburgers the order came and we opened the burgers but there was no actual burgers in the just the cheese we had ordered a few things but decided to burgers first but when we took out the boxes of chicken nuggets there was 3 boxes of chicken nuggets which I didn’t order and when opening 2 of the boxes saying chicken nuggets the burgers were in them I’ve to ring to complain and there was no answer

Popped on to buy a wrap of the day and cooling milkshake. Just the thing to eat after a long stressful drive. Only to be met with .we don't do milkshakes

Ordered by Uber eats burgers delivered no fries supposed to be 4x fries included, can’t get hold of them on the phone as taken off the hook and doesn’t answer had to get a refund from Uber eats in 7-10 days 👎🏻

Staff were very helpful but food was bad

Dreadful service both at booth with a cocky attitude and meal wrong with an attendant who did not care . There did not check the order and left me spending over £20 with only half a meal . Will never return it was a shambles !

Really bad service and I’ve witnessed a worker spitting in my coffee then stirring it before it was served to me.

Mcdelivery missing items not fully refunded, refunded £3.29 on a £10.99 Chicken sharebox.... utter joke. Fries were also stone cold on arrival (3miles from maccies). Cheeseburger was decent but that's about it.

I don't know why I keep giving this mcdonalds location a chance. Every time I order a plain burger it has everything on it, also several other aspects of my order were wrong. The staff member that gave me my food at the drivethru was a but rude about it, I understand that you are busy so it might be hassle but quality should never be compromised. Would rather pay more money for the same thing at the roadchef at the bowburn services.

When you order for delivery and it's cold when it arrives..then an order says delivered and it's not because the effin driver ate your food instead of delering..then try phoning them and they don't answer.. won't get my money back off just eat in 5 working days and not got any money left to order elsewhere.. absolutely disgusting practice and they get away with it

I’m really torn as to what to write about this McDonald’s. I use it occasionally and normally have no problems however the last time I used it my burger was extremely salty. Only the last two bites but it was almost like a salt sachet had been poured onto it. I’d ordered breakfast via the app but arrived late to the drive thru so they’d just switched over to the daytime menu. When I was told I said no problem, I’ll leave it as I always order via the app to get their fab rewards points. So I drove through the drive thru, purchased nothing and went and sat in one of the deliver to car spaces, ordered and waited for the food to be brought out to us. Did I annoy someone? Maybe, but I do feel that this was not an accident. My daughters happy meal was fine, just my burger overly salted 😡

Much prefer thus one over the one in Aycliffe

The staff were disgraceful, my niece got booted out for now reason as she accidentally dropped the ketchup on the floor and was going to clean it up, as she tried to the staff spoke to her in the most horriblest way and told her to shut up and get out. There was no reason for them to bar my niece for accidentally spilling ketchup!! Iam disgraced.

Best of the fast food choices for value, recommend getting the app for the offers. One or two times the staff on the drive through seemed a bit put out having to process the offers but I've been here on lots of occasions without issue. Room for improvement on serving hot fresh food, seems to depend on what time of day you visit.

Appaling service staff are always moody. Forget things out of my orders all the time. Today my drink was flat and I work to far away to go back. Winning sips finished early at this restaurant even though I could see the cups on the side with the stickers on. I was told it was subject to availability... Was clearly still available 😒 Chicken nuggets were stale and have been multiple times clearly been left under the hot lamp to long. Would say this is the worst mcdonalds I've been to in England so far. Once I asked for some curry sauce and the girl went out her way to ignore me so I drove off. Couldn't even enjoy my meal after that. Very disappointed and it's not exactly cheap

Very slow poor service, McDonald's used to be very friendly now it's very robotic and not customer focused at all.

New range is good just don't ask for a milk shake as its always broken

They really struggle to get your order correct if you ask for it without sauce. I've even been asked if I just want the burger. A trip here is rare now because it usually entails a revisit to correct the order.

Long queue, slow and insuficient staff, food is..... well, food is mcdonalds, you can't have any hope.

Omg where do i start.....what the hell you order a quarter pounder and its bad crack when your burger is bigger than a bun should have right size buns for different size burgers 🍔.....always tastes like been stood for ages....always cold....chips half cooked this happens even when its quiet. Gone down hill...thing will just coming here.

It's got to the point, where I feel I need to write this, the amount of times my order is incorrect is alarmingly high, the staff are miserable, I know customer service jobs can be a pain, but when I say thank you and good bye, I expect the same, to be fair this not all staff, but enough, I could mention so many other complaints, but I'd end up doing an essay. Lost me as a customer.

Went drive thru excellent speedy service

Always busy and does the job, standard McDonalds fare which is fine, staff alway seem happy to be there and the restaurant is kept really clean and tidy whatever time I call.

Multiple mistakes in orders. Forgot a drink (only ordered 2 drinks). Sent "big Mac meal" but forgot the big Mac? And sent a crispy wrap with no lettuce when we ordered a grilled wrap with no tomato. Very disappointed

Dreadful. Got to be one of the worst McDonald’s there is. They are much better than the BK across the road, looks like Thinford has a selection of drive thrus that supply horrible food.

Absolutely shocking here, went inside and ordered, and waited 25 mins for my food as they were prioritising just eat & deliveroo orders. Wasn't alone, plenty of others waiting yet the deliveries were going cold as they kept churning them out before others had gone out. NEVER TO VISIT HERE AGAIN. You need to sort your customer base priories out!!!!!!!°

Service is via the touch screens, the food priority is to the likes of the quick delivery first, drive thru then the poor souls who have to stand and wait and wait in the restaurant. They should shelve off the delivery service to a dedicated hub. As if you land in McDonald's the wrong time of day, it's no longer fast food.

Been to this restaurant many times. Mostly fine but today took 18 minutes for my takeout order. Drive through and Just Eat orders seem to take priority over restaurant customers. That said, The Philly Cheese Stack is delicious 😋

It's McDonald's. They're all the same. Nice friendly staff. Always ladies cleaning the tables and keeping it clean. Next to a big roundabout which is fine. You can watch the world go by. Sometimes very busy and impossible to park and the drive through gets busy and occasionally I've parked in the Starbucks next door even though you aren't supposed to.

Why is it that 50% of the time I go to the Mac Donald’s at Thinford Ferryhill, I seem to get the same excuses when I try to order MAC flurry “don’t have any” why put them on the menu when you don’t stick them 50% of the time. But the milkshakes are the worst excuses “machine not working “ the strange thing is it always broken at the busiest time, strange that! Makes you wonder if they are saying that just so they can get orders through quicker? Just visited 25/8/2023 at 12.04

Usually order for pick up after ordering on the Macdonald's ap. Service marked down a bit because the order is only prepared when you turn up and sometimes have to park up as order is not ready, so no real advantage of ordering on-line.

Drive thru in total chaos eventually got food which had been rammed into small bag. Not even an apology from staff bit of courtesy doesn't cost anything

After a long shift at work I decided to go for a Big Mac and when I got home the burger was all wrecked and one of the burgers looked like someone had just taken a bite out of it

Placed a large pick up order for my family. My own fault for not checking bags, but everything stuffed into one paper bag when collected and didn't want to start emptying contents all over car to check, besides its trust at the end of the day isnt it? Took my order home and was missing 2 burgers from burger meals. Needless to say not happy. Should have drove back to sort it out but it was late and i simply couldn't be arsed.... Asked for a towel to dry seating outside and was told no, the woman wouldn't give me any as she was on her break and maintenance man was on break too! Absolutely shocking service from McDonald's,

Went for food on my way to a course, it states 24hr yet its closed from 5-7 for cleaning, which is daft when people want breakfast on their way to work... If your not open for food just mention it on Google.

Look, it's a McDonalds. The food is what it is in terms of quality. If you get it delivered it's likely to be lukewarm at best but there's not much you can do about that. But the delivery service is the issue here. Since Uber eats started operating in the area, visiting the restaurant has become an absolute pain. If you drive thru you are getting parked for the absolute simplest of orders - and I am literally talking about ONE meal and some standard cheeseburger. No grill orders, no special requirements. A big mac, some fries, a cheeseburger and a drink. And you're getting parked for upwards of 5 minutes. Why? Because they massively over prioritise getting Uber eats orders ready. Oh, and good luck getting a space. Those are full of Uber Eats drivers. And yes, even the bays that are meant for customers to park and wait for food. Go inside and it's no better, those same drivers will be inside, very likely sitting around with no concern for nearby paying customers, swearing like troopers while kids a table down the way eat some chicken nuggets. It's an absolute disgrace, really, and whilst it's clear that they're going to make more money from the Uber oders, the other abundantly clear thing is this: Either you can pay through the nose for some cold food delivered to your door in a bag that likely reeks of tabs, or you can waste 15 minutes of your life parked up waiting for essentially no reason. Avoid, if you can, there are plenty of alternatives within spitting distance.

I dislike the attitude workers sometimes receive from customers however there are times they do not help themselves. I stood for 20 minutes waiting for someone to address my order (done on app, said to speak to someone at desk as was not working). In that time I heard quiet frustration of people who's orders were 30 mins waiting and when the guy in front of me tried to get someone's attention he was aggressively warned off trying. The scene was absolute chaos and customers were unusually quiet about it all, if annoyed. Usually someone loses there temper and unloads on a frazzled worker. And you cant blame anyone. The staff are hammered and the customers disgruntled. This time the sheer management of the scene and the way people were spoken to was too much. Order cancelled. Not going back. Personally I blame the just eat / uber eats delivery model which prioritizes money over individual customers meaning huge orders are made up and sent out ahead of cuing customers while there isn't the staff to service both adequately at the same time. Disgusting.

waited 35 min for a mcdonalds, went inside and asked that it hadnt came, she said it must have been sent out, waited in the car for another 10 min and mothing came, so i went to the better mcdonalds at bowburn, go to bowburn mcdonalds instead of thinford

It's always hit and miss, we no longer get it delivered as items were missing. When it's good it's really good ie: hot burger and plenty of fries. But when the items are missing you just get a refund a few days later which sucks if you're hungry after work.

I always rate McDonalds extremely highly. I would award Ten Stars if they would let me. You see, I have a very good reason for this. 1. After visiting a McDonalds their App actively monitors your location, so if you go straight home they know where you live….and… 2. Never criticise someone that is likely to be handling your food in the future. Just saying 😂

Very busy restaurant and drive-through. We stopped here on our travels north and have to say the staff here were super friendly and helpful to everyone, even though it was very busy throughout. Food was good and hot and generally just a great atmosphere inside... Excellent.

The food was nice. However, service was appalling.... got asked to wait in the drive thru waiting bays which is fine however when the food came the dips for shareboxes were missing so we kindly asked for them and instead of going to get them the young lad decided he wouldn't and just talk to his mates instead... probably the reason he works at mcdonalds 😂

Several time now, we ordered for delivery and there are multiple missing items. They're small orders and I don't think it's very hard to put food in a bag. If we were to rerrder the missing items, we'd have to pay service and delivery charges again. It's absolutely disgusting how bad the customer service is and how often these things happen. You don't need a degree to read a screen and grab all the correct items.

This is without a doubt the worst Mac Donald’s I have ever been to, I know you can’t expect much but honestly I’ve never had the orders so wrong from the original order and then having to wait up to half an hour just for an ice cream when the place was quiet. Never go here it’s a disgrace to everything fast food

just a bog standard maccies. food is fine and staff seem fine. was fairly impressed with wait time on the plant based burger as they normally take quite a while elsewhere but was pretty quick here.

It's a McDonald's, you know exactly what you're getting before you arrive, service was cheerful and helpful. Though perhaps a little slow, though not bad. The order was correct on this occasion but it's always worth double checking before driving away!

this place gets worse hole order is wrong and told its to late to change it as pulled away from window, service is shocking, food wrong or not even warm to the touch, large milk shake not even a quarter full and warmer than the burger. Best thing is sack them all and re staff the hole place

I really like this McDonalds. It's just been refitted, so it has the ordering screens with table service. Food comes quickly and is good quality. Friendly staff, my son loves it.

Waited 20 mins for Big Mac and chips. Big Mac arrived cold and chips were half empty. Complained to the manager who said ‘oh well’. She perked up a bit when I asked for area manager details. One of the worst McDonald’s in the area, go to gilesgate, always much better.

I have never just been served at this McDonald's. There is always a wait in parking bays and even then the order was wrong meaning I had to go in anyway. Pointless drive thru. Food was as always McDonald's quality, nice enough
