Royal Chef in East Riding of Yorkshire

The food was very good and the delivery time was 1-1.5 hours and arrived between then. I got the salt and pepper box with barbecue sauce which had flavour compared to some other Chinese’s in brid. The one issue I actually had was that the prawn crackers were old and were soft and chewy rather than crispy and crunchy. The crackers had to have been sat out for a few days at least for them to reach the texture I had. This was an obvious sign they were old as the crackers I get from here usually are the right texture and after about 3 days of being open begin to turn soft. All in all the entire thing was good.

Just had yet another brilliant takeaway. Definitely the best Chinese in Bridlington. Been using these guys for a while and no complaints. Their prawn toasts are to die for and the special curry - well what can I say... ! The quality and quantity is the best.

After trying near enough every chinese in brid, we have found the best one, and this is it! No matter what our order is, it always comes steaming hot and delicious! The chips are amazing!

2 starters bbq ribs hardly any meat and in a sauce which we were later told was chinese style bbq absolutely tasteless. Quarter duck was very dry and chewy. Our main was special chowmein and it was awful burnt taste and extremely salty. Everything ended up in the bin likewise our £30. Called to complain was offered a free duck starter next time. Somehow I don't think we will bother again. Lucky to get one star.

i drive here from york for dinner if that tells you how good it is. the food is great, the chips are better that local chips and the share box is perfect for two.

Had special in oyster sauce and special curry from this take away. I rang the order in and was told 20mins went to collect it was about 23mins so I thought that was very good. Got home and I must say the cartons were crammed full and totally delicious. I managed to eat most of mine (including free prawn crackers) I will definately be using this take-away again. Was very disappointed most of it went in the bin spent £27.90 and the taste of it was disgusting. The meat was dry and like crusty feel in your mouth.. Sweet and sour sauce was grim.me and my sister was very disappointed. Other family members liked the chips chicken balls and egg Fried rice. Noodles was so bad.. Special fried rice was gip.

Ordered our meal for 7pm., it finally arrived at 7.20 pm. Said to the driver how long we’d been waiting outside to receive a reply “No worries”! Said we wouldn’t be using them again....guess what the reply was “No worries”. Glad not my business because I’d certainly have “worries”. And what’s more the food was awful, greasy and unappealing, most of it went into the bin.

Ordered today for collection. Meal ready on time and plenty of it. Staff were really polite and helpful. Absolutely spot on food. Will definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you guys.

Fantastic chinese the best in bridlington and this is reflected in the delivery wait. However the food is always fresh and the best produce. They always go above and beyond to cater to my allergies and put me at ease. The king prawn vermicelli is amazing as is the satay. The salt and pepper box is out of this world and has inspired all surround Chineses to start making the same. I recommend the Cantonese spare ribs, roast duck, king prawn in satay sauce and fried rice. Enjoy

Past 2 times have NOT been good at all... First time we ordered food for delivery and were told 35/40 minutes... that’s fine. However, after an hour I rang to see where our food was we were told I said to be collected, but the girl asked for my address?? I asked how long until I would get my food and they said a further 40/45 minutes!!! So we cancelled the order and went elsewhere... Last night we decided to get it to collect this time as my mum was wanting to try the famous salt and pepper box, we rang pretty much straight away when they opened and we’re told 10/15 minutes, however when we got there it was an extra 25 minutes until it was ready. The food was delicious but definitely let down by time management

Very good choice on the menu and reasonably priced. Waiting time was approx 15 mins but there is seating. All looks very clean and efficient polite service. We had starters of curried puff balls and Prawn toast which came with a dip both were lovely and didn't want them to end. Mains, we had Chicken and Prawn curry with chips and Cantonese duck with fried rice both were very good for quality and quantity and tasted very nice. Very busy and with 2 delivery drivers shows it is a popular Chinese. Will definitely return.

The Singapore rice noodles are the best in Bridlington, love everything we've ordered Always hot, tasty and cooked to order

A few locals told me to try this chinese as was the best in the area.Wow not kidding so tasty next time in the area will be going again.Very clean and not long to wait.Lovely friendy staff too.

We love the food, haven't had a bad meal from RC. The Singapore rice noodles are amazing. King prawn chop suey gorgeous! We wouldn't go anywhere else.

We had a takeaway from here whilst on holiday in the area. The staff were friendly, the place was clean and the food delicious. My husband had curry and rice which he really enjoyed. He also had curry puffs which were the only things he wasn't as keen on. The rest of us had various combinations of fried rice and noodle dishes. Unfortunately they were closed the rest of the week we were there so we didn't get to have another takeaway.

Tried now a couple of times, food is very nice, can recommend the salt n pepper boxes their lovely. Chow meins are plentiful too and very tasty. Worth a trip.

Great takeaway, food is well cooked and the delivery time is fair to decent, the portions are great and the staff are friendly.

We often get a delivery from the royal chef,we recommend it to everyone,at least once a week we have it and even the kids will order for themselves! Salt and pepper boxes are the best ever

Order now for a Christmas delivery. Food poor and stodgy. Menu far to big. Telephone service really bad. Salt and pepper box wasn’t anything special

ordered from here when quiet as in busy periods its very very late food was rushed, ordered double happy chefs special and to be honest it should of come with a few rolls of toilet roll to say the least.

I come at least once a fortnight and get the 8 inch Salt and Pepper box.... they’re amazing. I recommend this takeaway to all my work friends in Scarborough.

From the initial phone call to the empty plates, there was not a single thing wrong with our takeaway experience. Came quicker than expected (always a bonus!), piping hot, good price and wow, those portions. We ordered four dishes plus rice and there literally was enough for four people. Massive bag of prawn crackers and leftovers for tomorrow. As a reminder, we wrote 'Massive Portions' on the menu to remind us next time, of which there will be plenty, I'm sure...

Not bad but could be better. The last time I ordered from here it took 2 hours to arrive and not happy so I called and collected it my self. The food was ok but was soon cold and tasted bland. In all fairness it’s gone down hill a bit. Come on guys pull it back. The staff were friendly but a bit clueless but not to worry. And yes I will eat their again

Ordered a salt and pepper box and it took 3 hours to come, the person I spoke to when I rang up was very rude, she said it would take an hour and 10 minutes so I rang up after 2 hours for them to tell me it’s on its way, do not recommend

Not a bad spot. Salt n pepper box is nice. Not the best place but not the worst. Will order again from them so I guess that says it all.

Was recommended this place by my nephew who likes the salt and pepper box that I was looking forward to trying sometime. However ordered A special Chinese curry and also a side of beansprouts and water chestnuts. The side was 90 percent onion with not one beansprouts at all. Really should be significantly more accurate than that. The curry was very average... Doubt I will return... Unless next time I buy a main course they replace the absent beansprouts

Ordered for 5 of us told it would be no longer than a hour rang them after a hour and half wait was told delivery driver was in flamborough we would have to wait or cancel order we waited with us already waiting so long just under 2hours before food turned up and was horrid would not go back and would recommend people dont order if they want it delivered any time soon

Would highly recommend this place. Food is amazing. The salt and pepper box is perfect for sharing. The staff are friendly and honest about delivery times. Reasonable prices.

This is our preferred Chinese is the area. Love the salt and pepper box. Portion sizes are good and food is always fresh
