Royal Chef in Woking

The food was completely vile I am gutted to say . Having just moved to west byfleet I was looking forward to trying the local Chinese restaurant, however I was completely disappointed. Not only was my order missing half the items , meaning I had to go back , but the chicken balls were full of grease and tasted like fish , the rice tasted days old , the noodles were dry and tasteless and the seaweed just tasted off. All round disgusting. Girl behind the counter was polite though .

Please take this as a negative to a positive . The shop looks really unhygienic the windows look dirty the poor gold fish stuck in a tiny tank just makes me walk past. Nothing makes me want to think 🤔 Yum that looks a clean and tidy chinese take away. The food is swimming in grease I’m sorry to say New paint New signs Tidy up 🧹 You would triple your business I look forward to seeing some changes All the best Your free Business Guide

Really great food and really friendly customer service. Even threw in a free pack of prawn crackers which were delicious. Spring rolls a little too greasy but overall a lovely meal I would buy again :)

Ordered our food online and it took 1.30 hours to arrive. We had to nuke all the dishes but I have to say the food was the best I've ever tasted! Will order and collect in future.

Used before and used to be good. Vegetables in dishes were brown, 3 cashew nuts in the chicken and cashew nuts dish. Not a great meal.

Not a great experience collecting this order , food was cold and bland ,special fried rice wasn't fried just boiled rice with some meat and vegetables chucked on top .... And to top it all off i paid online and payment was pending out of my account ... But they wouldn't accept this as proof and so we had to pay again in person , honestly wish we hadn't bothered ...

We use this restaurant on a regular basis and have only had one problem a while ago but we ordered a whole crispy duck which was inedible. We paid £40 for it. It was dry and there was no crispy skin at all. Pancakes were so thin that they burst when you ate them. Not very impressed and we left most of it. The dog is having a good feast today. I think we’ll leave using them for a while, hopefully they’ll be better when we go back.

Definitely not as good as it use to be

This is the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever eaten.The food was cold, greasy and soggy and stank of cooking fat. Avoid at all costs, you have been warned

Do NOT eat here unless you want to be sick. My whole family had gastroenteritis for 3 days and counting. Food is horrible. The beef is stale, food is bland.

Order was late and very poor quality and seemed to be stuffed with cheap veg to pad out the meals. The Duck was fatty and mostly skin very disappointing.AVOID

Used to be good, but gone way downhill. Dreadful service. I ordered a delivery last Saturday and after it was 20 minutes late I rang to check. Was told it was on the way, waited another 15 minutes and was told it had "just left". After 1 hour I called and asked to cancel the order and refund me. They put the phone down on me. Called back and asked why and was told I had shouted (I had not). Said I would have to speak to the manager about a refund so I asked him to be put on, Didn't happen. Still got charged and had to raise a dispute with credit card provider. Disgraceful, sadly I won't use them again.

First time using Royal chef . West Byfleet to Woking . Food was hot. We all got what we wanted and it tasted amazing.

Don’t waste your time. Ordered take away, didn’t arrive. Called to check, said it was busy and they are sorry but will arrive in 15 minutes. Called again 30 minutes later, told its about to start being cooked! Very poor. Ended up asking for refund as person phone so rude! Poor service and no food! Avoid.

The absolute best Chinese in the area. Always cater to extra spice etc for me. Lovely people

Absolutely disgraceful. First order arrived ten minutes early. Today, it's over an hour late. I've called twice and been lied to, apparently food was being cooked 45 minutes ago and now fifteen minutes ago it's just going out for delivery now? Being busy is understandable, lying through your teeth is not. Just turned up an hour and fifteen minutes late and there's NO sweet and sour sauce. >:( Gutted However, now I've eaten... It's absolutely delicious, some of the nicest Chinese I've had. My compliments to the chef :)

Used Royal Chef for years now and they always serve good food.

Awful quality. The duck was so over cooked and fried days ago I’m sure that there was nothing left on the bone. Massive sugar granules in the seaweed and ribs were as dry as you like. So disappointed

The food was great, I'd give it 5 but.... please clean the fishtank. The poor fish are swimming in such a dirty tank. It made me sad. And please clean the spiders away.

Been using this Chinese since moving to the area can not fault it

We have used this place a couple of times but never for delivery. Our food arrived 30 minutes early and was absolutely delicious! Everything was piping hot and tasty. The sale and pepper prawns were some of the nicest we’ve had. Highly recommend!

We have been using this Chinese every Saturday for about four years, and have always been satisfied. If there are any problems with cold dishes, or wrong items delivered, they replace or refund without arguement. Highly recommend Royal Chef of West Byfleet. If the owners are reading this, we are number 19, Chris's mate Alan.

Best Chinese in the area by far - food is always quick, hot and fresh. Have ordered here many times and never had a bad experience.

Had a takeaway from here, last Friday. Enjoyed it enormously. The mixed sweet & sour balls were really yummy & non-greasy. Egg Foo Young was just as I had requested it - properly cooked from inside as well. Yudon noodles & spring rolls were fresh crispy & really yummy. Service was a bit slow but the young man apologised & explained that they were really busy. Will definitely order from here again.

I order food at 8.30pm it arrived at 8.47pm Food wasn’t very Hot at all Not very happy.

Best Chinese takeaway I've had in a long time. Unlike many others it's not too greasy and, small point, they put peas in their curries which I really like. Will be ordering from them again even though they're not our closest

We love the royal chef. I've never had a bad meal from there. We have the almost same thing every time mind you! Haven't found a better chinese food takeaway locally. We've had t/a's from the Royal Chef since 2012.

Always quick to answer the phone and delivery usually arrives within half an hour. Food is good for a delivery service

First timewe ate here and now ordering again tonight nice food chicken balls really nice kids loved them only thing that wasn't brilliant was the chicken curry but over all very nice

Best Chinese about by far. Always fresh. Always hot. Reasonably priced. Tried a few others in the area but they dont come close to this one.

I ask for satay sauce I get curry sauce They always keep getting it wrong ,Many times always something missing or wrong

Was always impressed with the food but having had several orders wrong and late we complained. Then when we tried to order again they said they would not take our order? Asked to speak to manager several times always to be told she was busy or not there? Appalled by the attitude and will never recommend or use them again

Not sure if there is new owners or a one off but not very nice this time.

Royal Chef- you are the sweet in my sweet and sour chicken! This place is Chinese take away at its best- fresh veg, yummy noodles, and delicious sauce. Add large portions, great pricing, and quick delivery? It's a win.

Always lovely food from Royal Chef and the service is excellent! Ordered from China Chef in Byfleet tonight by accident and phoned Royal Chef to complain thinking it had come from them! They were nothing but helpful and offered to send us food! We will continue to use you in future!!

Best takeaway Chinese I've had in a long time - yum!

Good food, has the sort of taste it should. I live in Byfleet and the Chinese takeaways are very poor. in comparison. The specific things I like about this takeaway are no cheap broken rice used, good quality meat and prawns in the 2 special fried rice dishes. Service is fast, food tastes fresh....reminiscent of how good many Chinese takeaways used to be. I no longer use any Chinese takaways in Byfleet and prefer to travel the extra 2 miles to the Royal Chef

Very friendly staff lovely fast food chinese. Never had any issues with the service or food.

We get home delivery most weeks and it's very nice. Beware the crispy duck as it is sometimes rather too crispy.
