Hotel in a perfect location with easy access to the pier and beach. The room was spacious, clean and had everything for a comfortable stay. Meals were hot and freshly made, however vegetables were limited for choice

Upon first arrival seems pleasant , reception barely polite , towels in room not clean , dirty / murky water from bath tap . We also heard constant arguments and shouting throughout the night which caused a restless night . Wouldnt return to this particular hotel again .

Our stay at Royal Bath Hotel was absolutely delightful! the historical charm combined with modern amenities makes it unique. The room was very welcoming and clean, and a good opportunity to detox from Wifi and internet. The staff are attentive and the restaurant buffet delicious. The stunning sea is very close by - We enjoy our the stay

Last minute booking and so glad I choose this hotel after being a bit wary about some of the reviews. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful. Room given was lovely, clean and spacious. Pool and leisure centre clean and staff friendly. Will definitely use this hotel again

The only thing “Royal” in this hotel is the Kings face upon the bank note I will be spending on the non-complimentary parking. I could absolutely forgive a hotel of such status to be a little old-fashioned, if it retained any ounce of character and integrity it may have had in its hay day. The rooms are a mish-mash of tacky cheap renovated and down right outdated furniture, there is no theme or consistency throughout. On arrival to the hotel, we were instructed our room would be “just down the hall on the left”, what a hilarious, cruel joke that is. Whoever has designed the room number layout in this old Victorian labyrinth must have been blind drunk on old Scotch, I would bet his skeleton still lies down a hallway after he tried to find the exit. We passed multiple guests also in confusion as we ascended and descended stairways, wings, and broken elevators, the direction signs giving us completely nonsensical directions. Finally, we find our room, a tired space filled with outdated furniture, the smell of bleach in the bathroom is so strong you feel your nose hairs withering. I write this review from my room afraid to renter the labyrinth, for I may not reappear. Hopefully brekkie will be good though eh?

When I came from London, I booked this hotel. It was my worst experience. In the United Kingdom, there are insects and the smell of vomit, evidence of uncleanliness. When I informed the manager about this, he transferred me to a dilapidated room with no electricity. He also accused me of breaking a curtain and refusing to give me my bags. When the police arrived, they knew that he was lying, and for safety, they took me out. I am staying in hotels. Around the world, this was the worst experience of my life, and I will not visit them again in the future

I stayed here just 1 night then left as the staff were very rude! Disgusting service! The rooms were really moldy and dusty which I struggled to sleep because I'm asthmatic. Sweet wrappers under/behind furniture. I complained about this to staff which didn't have a care in the world. One staff lady with dark hair told me if I couldn't deal with the mess then to F off! Nice building so it's a shame it isn't kept to health & safety standards! It will be reported to the Occupational H&S Agency.

Location is the only decent thing about this hotel. The buffet food smells like cheap microwaved food. (force dried potatoe smell) room was mouldy, damp and dirty. Bathroom hadn't been cleaned in weeks (cobwebs and hairs and dirt to prove it) woodwork and walls were water damaged to high hell. And the only window in the room was broken. Couldn't shut or cancel out any road noise and the surrounding purple lights they have at night shine directly into the room even with curtains closed, (they too including the net curtains were not fully attacked to the windows either) None of the staff knew where to room was or even knew directions, including the cleaning manager. This place really is a brittania hotel (of which we didn't know becuase we thought it was an elite hotel! But shocked to find out that it is just a cover!) highly disgusted

I loved the breakfast buffet in the morning. We opted for the dinner also which was good . The grounds are great with lots of grass and the sea view and close to the sea

We were really skeptical because of the many negative reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Sure, a lot of things cost extra (pool/spa, parking, WiFi in the room, breakfast - see photo for details), but the room itself isn't that expensive if you don't need all that. Hotel only has two floors, so the sea view is always a bit limited (and there is a parking lot between the pier and the hotel), but we saw the sea and part of the pier well from our sea view room on the 1st floor. Instead of the hotel car park (£25), we parked in the Central Car Park for around £6 a day (8min walk, a bit uphill). The hotel is currently being renovated, we had scaffolding in front of the window and there was a strong smell of fresh paint in the hallways. We had a newly renovated bathroom with good water pressure. The staff was super friendly and there was live music in the hotel bar in the evenings. We didn't try breakfast, there are plenty of other options in the city. 4 stars because of paid WiFi and short pool opening times (last entry 1 hour before closing). We would come back!

When I was reading the reviews before choosing to visit, I was abit hesitant. However, people forget that the hotel is very old, so the floors will creek and the furniture is alittle old. Our room was small (what we paid for), but well kept. We had a little bath and lots of soap and shampoos to keep us for the one night stay. The receptionists were lovely and greeting- we felt bad for them as they were dealing with an angry customer when we came in who didn’t have ID. (Make sure to have your ID when checking in, as that’s there policy). The young gentleman behind the reception stood out to us for both days. He recognised us on the second day, let us keep our bags behind the desk as he didn’t have the key to storage, and then booked us a taxi once we were done with the day. The taxi came within 2 minutes. The whole hotel is beautiful, even the outside and the mini chess set is entertaining. The pool facilities were out of order when we booked, wish we had been notified as we both love a dip in the pool, but that didn’t take away the experience as it was lovely. The hotel location is very convenient as it’s right next to the beach!!

Booked this for Christmas package with 83 year old mother in law and my wife After being assured we would have a disabled access room for mother in law! Hotel was a disaster from start to finish we were put on top floor only way to get via flight of stairs as shown in pics she was moved to suite on first floor not a disabled friendly room no walk-in shower only way to access room via lift not advised by staff how mum would get out in an emergency. Rooms were not serviced IE clean towels/ sheets beds made ect in all the time we were there Pool and spa closed . Staff very short on the ground and those that were there very stressed and unhelpful due to workload we paid close to £2000 for this package were made to feel most unwelcome and have complained to hotel customer service with none of the points I raised addressed only offer of discounted weekend stay as we live in Spain can't see that happening. SO IN BRIEF IF YOUR THINKING OF GOING TO THE ROYAL BATH SPA HOTEL BOURNEMOUTH DON'T BOTHER ITS RUBBISH

Delivery drivers are animals. Have a video of one of them spitting whilst delivering my food. Guy must be stupid as I spoke to him down the camera saying I would be right there.
