We enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the café. Despite being busy, the service was impressively quick. The only downside is having to order at the counter, which slightly detracts from the experience.

I visited recently on a solo trip to Oban.. went for lunch one day and loved it so much I went back for breakfast the next morning! Food was lovely and staff were friendly - was very busy but so worth the wait! Cakes also looked amazing, as a fellow baker I was very impressed.. I had the twirl fudge slice and haven’t stopped thinking about it since haha! Will definitely be back on my next visit 😍

Affordable, scrumptious food enjoyed in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It is clearly a favourite place for locals and visitors alike. Although we started with breakfast we went back on other occasions for lunch and coffee and cake as the food was just too tempting! If you enjoy cakes then a great present for either yourself and someone you love, as a reminder of that 'little slice of Oban', is their own cook book "Roxy's Cake & Bake".

My wife and i noticed this place when out for a walk and were instantly drawn to it by the fantastic looking scones in the window! It didn't look big at first glance. When we returned later with my stepdaughter for brunch i was surprised when we entered that we had to queue, it was then we realised that the place was a lot bigger than we had initially thought. We only had to wait a couple of minutes for a table. You are shown to your table and then order and pay for your meal at the till. I had a bacon and egg roll ( was offered fried, scrambled or poached..delighted to be offered this) which was delicious. We also had a croissant, toast, pot of tea, Latte and a large Peppermint Frappe! Service was fantastic and you could tell by how busy it was , that it was very popular! Great value for money and we couldn't help but buy some of the homebakes before we left! Will definitely return when next in Oban.

If you're looking for a fabulous cafe that serves full Scottish breakfast (as well as a whole menu of other brunch & lunch delights...oh and cake 🍰🎂) you must visit Roxy's in Oban. Best freshly cooked b'fast in town. Staff are superb and always polite and efficient. Donna who owns it is clearly a great owner and managed to retain the best staff.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was incredibly busy. The staff were all amazing and worked efficiently and quickly while still maintaining excellent service. The macaroni cheese as usual was absolutely delicious and the cakes were to die for. Please keep the Mocha frape permanently! I could've drank 5 of them - delicious. Donna, Archie and their incredible team work their socks off and it really shows with how amazing this small cafe is. I can't wait to see what their future plans are, and can't wait to buy the Roxy's Cookbook!

After telling the waitress (who happened to be the manager too) that I was intolerant to sugar she told me there was sugar in the soup of the day so i went for a beet and berry smoothy to be safe. She asked me to order at the till and pay before getting served. The smoothy was disgustingly sweet tasting and fake so after just taking one sip i asked the waitress/manager if it had sugar and she explained that it was a bought in sugary powder that they used for all the smoothies. I said i couldn’t drink it and she told me to order something else at the till and said i would have to pay again. When i went to the till and explained to the waitress there, the manager over heard some of it and stormed in and interrupted aggressively telling me that they weren’t required by law to write the ingredients in the menu. I could not believe how rude the manager was and the lack of care she demonstrated towards the customers food intolerances. had to walk out as i didn’t feel safe to eat anything else there and of course who would want to stay after being treated in such a rude and uncaring way? Do not trust if you have food intolerances.

Popped in here for breakfast as we passed through Oban. i’ve been once before but just to get carry out baking (also highly recommended). was almost put off by the ten minute wait for a table but that in itself should have told me something. when seated i ordered the full breakfast and my wife a variation of the same. it arrived quickly, freshly cooked, using good quality ingredients. was bloody lovely. staff were very pleasant and efficient. definitely be back.

Nice spot but only one table outside - the rest were in a room at the back which felt a bit like a school dinner hall. We ordered lentil soup with bread, and the feta and tomato quiche with salad and no slaw. The soup was thin and quite tasteless and sadly only came with one slice of bread. It was also pretty small for £5. The quiche was good, however it came with slaw anyway, which was plasticky and looked mildly inedible. The service was good though, and we didn’t try the cakes or coffee so can’t comment on them

This is the first place I head to every time I get to Rothesay. The best coffee on the island - no competition. Plus an incredible salted hot chocolate (I buy bags of the stuff to take back to London), plus amazing pastries and excellent soup for lunch. And Mhairi and her team are always good for a natter and to bring you up to speed on the island gossip and recent celebrity sightings. I also rarely leave without a new pair of earrings thanks to the Bonnie Bling range they stock.
