Went the other day and ordered a quesedilla which I could've cooked better at home with one of those kits you get from any supermarket. Not only was the chicken completely unseasoned and tasteless but the 'salsa' or sauce within it was nothing more than some cut up vegetables surrounded in cheap cheese. The chips were good if that really counts. Prices were overall not worth it since the food was below the standard I was expecting, toilets were also quite nasty.

Not a great experience; Burgers all the same despite asking for one to be well-done. Décor (which I know doesn't effect the food) scarily bad - I hope they didn't pay anyone to paint those monstrosities on the walls! Selection of beers for an AMERICAN diner were disappointing. The waiter looked bored to tears and spent most of his time reading a newspaper or fiddling on a laptop - yes there were few people in but still it would be good to pretend to pay attention to your customers Wouldn't go again.

We nearly got up and left after waiting sooooo long for our food and I'm not sure it was worth the wait. Everything was ok but just that I had high hopes for this place what with opening next door to Atomic Burger but despite our group ordering different burgers they all looked exactly the same (I'm not an expert or anything but a little differentiation between dishes would be an improvement) and tasted a little stodgy. Not too shabby milkshakes.

Unacceptable wait for our food despite the place being half empty. When it did arrive it was a plate of non-descriptive iceberg lettuce, cold chips and soggy burger (the bun disintegrated as soon as we picked them up). Waiting staff couldn't careless - until it came to payment where they hoovered around like flies. Avoid!

What can I say about Route 66? If it's a quick bite to eat in an American themed burger bar then this might not be your best bet. Waiters were quick to take our order, which was nice, but the wait for food thereafter was not. The burger itself seemed standard piece of mince, with a few slices of onion and gherkin. There was a piece of processed-tasting cheese in lieu of anything proper and the bun that was stated to be a sour dough bun, appeared to be a cheap, dime-a-dozen, insubstantial waif. 'All our burgers are served with salad and chips'. Chips yes, and they were good (but how hard is it to mess up chips?) Salad no - diced up iceberg doesn't count as salad in my book. All in all a less than satisfactory experience. I could have cooked better at home but given I wasn't I should have gone to one of the other, better burger bars which are so close by.

Myself and four friends met for lunch one Saturday afternoon, we chose Route 66 for lunch. Upon arrival, the first thing I saw was the Italian lager dispenser located in the middle of the bar ~ I expected American lager in an American-themed restaurant. Perhaps the beer tap was leftover from Route 66's predecessor? The 30+ min wait for food was unacceptable, especially when there were only two tables, including our table waiting for food. Despite Route 66 offering differing names and varities of burgers, each plate of food looked identical when presented to us. A member of our party requested for his burger to be cooked well-done however it arrived and appeared to be medium/pink, the same as the four other diners. I haven't visited America but if this is what it's like then I will save my money. We were all disappointed by Route 66, for the same money we could have had better service, food and a higher level of dining experience elsewhere on the Cowley Road.

The staff here go way, way above and beyond for this company. Having to both cook and then deliver the food themselves, this isn't the first time this has happened. Crazy that they're put in this position, they deserve better.

I visited this place today and ordered a mixed kebab which contained doner meat and chicken sharwarma. The portion was decent and the meat was fresh and well seasoned, placed in a lovely naan bread. I made it a meal so was given some fries which were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - just perfect! I will definitely be returning to this place and hope that they can be consistent with their quality and service.

I have ordered coffee 4 times there over the last 6 months, and everytime it has been undrinkable. The Americano in particular is bitter water with no taste of coffee. I noticed that their espresso brewhead is much shallower than most coffee machines, so they pack much less coffee than in other cafes. I had coffee with other people here and all have the same complaints. The cakes and pastries are fine though, that's why I give it a 2.

Gentleman that served us was a breath of fresh air. Very welcoming and informative, happy and very polite. Honestly he was so lovely. Food was beautiful and fresh.
