Route 66 in Croydon

Recently i have visit this restaurant the staff is so rude and the food is very tasteless like old. Very bad experience gain.

This hotdog is raw. Took nearly an hour to Be delivered and it’s raw so for pork that’s really dangerous. Wish I didn’t have to leave a star, there should be a no star option

Wings n waffles to die for Great place

I was staying at the premier inn close by. It was late and my friend and I were hungry we had juicy Lucy burger meal, which was recommended, haloumi wrap meal and chicken tenders. The food was delivered to us and was hot, but more importantly it was amazing food the best wrap I’ve ever eaten and I got a bite of the burger which was incredibly tasty too. The chicken tenders were delicious This food is top notch and I can’t fault it or the service. I wish I’d taken some pictures now. Absolutely can’t recommend enough the food quality was incredible wish I lived close by as this would be my Friday night treat. 5*****

Very impressed with our meal. Arrived in good time and very tasty. The burger patties have definitely improved since the last time we ordered a couple of years ago.

Chicken was soggy and chewy like it was very old. The burger was a mess just again chewy and low quality and smothered in garlic sauce. Definitely do not recommend expensive aswell!

Just had a delivery. Burgers covered in mayo. I like mayo but totally ridiculous amount. We used them for ages and stop now we remember. Always delays and even if u say no mayo ur food is smothered in it even if its not in the description. Won't be using again.

I always go here after I finish work and sometimes get delivery my usually order is cheeseburger and chips my food is always so good and a big portion, the aero mint milkshake is one of my favourites as well they never disappoint, staff are always so friendly when I go into the store and are seem to all work very hard :) love this place been going there a while now

Some really nice food sold here. I reccomend the burgers, simple and very tasty, just an all round well made burger and the chicken is quite nice, its got a good spicy kick to it. Good restaurant and will definitely come back

Terrible delivery service . I ordered my food 2hours ago and I still haven’t received it. The restaurant number doesn’t work . This is unacceptable.

Ordered 3 milkshakes and a popcorn chicken kids meal and jalapeño poppers. We called the first time about 45 minutes after ordering (they are a 3 minute drive from the house) and we were told that due to an accident the road is blocked but our food is ready and is leaving now. Called again 20 minutes later. They said that the food is on the way. They then called us and asked if we were number 34 we explained that’s the wrong door number, they told us that it was not our order anyway and they don’t know where our order is. We then called again 10 minutes later and they told us the order is on the way. 10 minutes later still nothing and we called again (by this time my 1 year old and 2 year old were crying because they were so hungry and we made . this clearthen received no answer. We called continuously for the next 20 minutes with no answer. I then sent a text message to ask if we will at least be receiving the food so I can get my children from food elsewhere. I received a text back saying ‘2 mins’ we then received our food 1 hour and 45 minutes later. To their credit they gave us 2 portions of extra fries, however the chicken popcorn kids meal was a very dry chicken fillet piece cut up. The jalapeño poppers were mozzarella sticks and the Oreo milkshake and ferrero Roche milkshake were walls ice cream with such finely blended chocolate/Oreo pieces that you couldn’t even taste it. They lied during the entire experience then just avoided our calls. Would definitely avoid them, will never be ordering from them again - you will note similar negative reviews.

Worst experience ever. Delivery took an hour and a half even though we are 5 mins away. Never ordering from them again.

The guy that answered the phone was rude. He said it was very busy and can't make an order under £10 to deliver although I can pay for delivery . He hung up the phone and didn't even ask if he could help with anything else . Poor service. Would not recommend. Would not even put one star and would not visit again.

The absolute worst place I have ever ordered from. DO NOT USE!! Freezing (and i am lenient, this was stone cold) food. Chips missing, Milkshake missing. Ordered at 4 for delivery at 5, called numerous times told driver was 5 mins away. 45 mins later driver arrived, hurried away. Called restaurant and the manager laughed down the phone. Said they were way to busy to send more food- they could not guarantee a refund. He told us we lied and the food was hot and nothing was missing- why would we lie about 2 portions of chips and 1 milkshake? This was a £55 order!! He put the phone down on me, and I have contacted my bank who have been most helpful and will take the payment back as soon as it clears. AVOID at all costs, there are MUCH better takeaways than this in the area!!

Ordered food over 1.5hrs ago. Now over 45mins late on quoted delivery time. Not answering phone for us to find out what is going on. Very poor service.

I rarely write a negative review. This was very poor. Despite living a five minute walk from the restaurant, delivery took one and a half hours. The burger and chips were very poor quality. The buffalo wings were acceptable. I won’t be ordering from here again.

I ordered from here this evening and I cannot explain how AMAZINGLY TASTY the food was and its halal. The Buffalo wings were to die for and incredibly tasty and the chicken on the bones absolutely delicious with a lovely thai chilli sauce. The onion rings were amazing and the chips so soft and tasty, all sauces very nice and all ready for pickup very quickly at a fabulous price !! They were very busy when I was there and I will be ordering from them again tommorrow night and I am changing my friday night take away place to Route66. No more fish and chips from the local chippi!! Even the name Route66 is such a great name and makes the high street feel good. The names rare and unusual. Havent seen a take away called that before. Sorry I didnt come to you sooner. After tonight I am definitely going to be hooked on you. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SUCH GREAT TASTY FOOD AND SUCH A GREAT SERVICE !!

Very tasty cheese burger, friendly staff whom was helpful

This is not TGI. If that's what you want you will be disappointed. Generic chips. I don't know what the "American chips" are but I got some English chips with some nandos salt. Burger, ok Chicken burger ok Chicken strips ok The milkshake is an abomination. A chocolate bar of your choice blended with a home brand "vanilla flavour" ice cream. Indulge at your peril. £50 for a meal for 3 I think it was. Disappointed that I spent my voucher on that.

This is probably the worst fast food restaurant I've ever used, Firstly the staff told us that our delivery would be 30-45 minutes but unfortunately this grew to nearly 2 hours . The food was cheap cuts and full of chilli sauce to disguise the chewy and tastless chicken that turned up . When our delivery finally turned up the driver gave us the same excuse that they gave is last time time that the previous driver had been involved in an accident. You can all make your own decisions but I will never order from here again ..!!! Whilst trying to complain about the amount of time our order was taking the staff didn't seem to care at all and kept putting the phone down on us like we were the problem.

American style food - really! Not impressed with the food. The lamb ribs consist mainly of fat. The Chicken was well cooked but the Peri Peri on it was far too hot. The Chicken Waffle was nice but far too sweet. I would have preferred it the maple syrup came in a separate container so that I could poor it on myself and the chips were nice. Sorry, but I will not be ordering from this place again.

They put emphasis on the food being American style, so that’s what you expect. But what we got was kebab shop food at over double the price. The lamb chops had hardly any meat on them and the steak wrap could’ve easily been a donner wrap from the kebab shop. It was thinly sliced, fatty bits of beef padded out with lettuce and way too much Mayo. The “American fries” were, again, just like chips from any cheapo takeaway. We expected better having spent £30. Would not eat from here again or recommend.

Good food here. I've tried the Chicago Burger, Chicken Strips, Buffalo Wings, American Chips, Halloumi Bites and Onion Rings, Jalapeño Poppers and Mozzarella sticks, all were tasty. Delivery time was good.

Took over 1.5 hours to receive my order. Rude member of staff who tried to blame Uber and hung up on me. By the time my food got to me it was cold and soggy, the only item I was happy with was my can of coke. Terrible food and service.

Food was late by 25 minutes. Coleslaw was FROZEN!!! Corn cold and not juicey definitely a day or more old. Chips cold, chicken strips over cooked and hard. Tenders like rubber a chewie. Food is clearly pre cooked and then frozen and then heated. The price on uber eats was ridiculous for what we got and seen they are only 2 star hygiene since. WHATEVER YOU DO DONR ORDER HERE FOR YOUR HEALTH AND SAFTEY

Don’t let the negative reviews put you off from ordering from this place. I think anything less than 4 stars is a very unfair rating for this local joint. Long delivery time aside (1 hr 15 mins), the food is actually good. The cheese burger and chicken burgers were tasty and the fries were tasty. Would defenetly recommend it.

The worst takeaway I’ve ever had - I was ill for 4 days after their uncooked chicken burger. I sent a message to the manager and they refused to take responsibility saying it simply couldn’t of been their fault. I’ve even been into their shop and their staff are extremely rude. I would avoid if I was you.

I cannot even begin to describe the mess that arrived from this place. Really wish I had read the reviews before paying £40 for 2 dry-arse soggy burgers that tasted like sweat and took more than an hour to arrive when this place is 5 mins away!🤮disgusting food, stay away

Food always late and never worth it. The meat in the burgers is chewey and contains gristle. Cheese in the burger clumped into one massive rubbery lump. Only edible part was the chips, and even they’re cold. Canned drink was fine though.

Ordered with this place on the recommendation of someone we know. Wish we hadn't. What a let down. The burger buns were completely dry and virtually inedible, the chicken burger I ordered had melted cheese all over it which was not in the burger description. The beef patty in the beefburger was dry and unpleasant. The chips looked pale and undercooked and were tasteless. The oreo milkshake was the only thing that I vaguely enjoyed. Not sure how they could get so many things wrong in one meal. Quite annoyed that we wasted our one takeaway treat this week on this.

Absolutely shocking!!!! Ordered through Deliveroo, Food missing from the order, when I called the restaurant, the person who answered the phone was so rude and aggressive, didn’t care at all that we were missing food, told me to call Deliveroo and accused the driver of eating our food. He was shouting at me and told me it’s not his problem!! Unreal customer service. The food we did receive was below average and cold. Would never order from them again.

Do not go to this place!!!!! I've just ordered £26 pounds for a soggy chicken burger, cardboard chips and a coleslaw. I ordered from just eat and I feel totally ripped off. Something that would normally cost me £4.00 has just cost me alot of money. Looks like I'll be having a Coca-Cola for dinner tonight. Not happy.

Ordered from here and so disappointed. Food was cold when it turned up. Beef patty's where more like corned beef patty's with giblets. Such a shame as I know their new but for £45 for a family of 4 it's a real disappointment.

If i had followed my instincts I would have made the correct choice. Staff was so distracted with the football they were streaming on the phone that they burnt my chicken. Chicken burger was soggy, so much mayo and a small piece of soggy lettuce, chips were not completely unfrozen didn’t taste good at all. No excuses as they were not busy. Ruined my Saturday night.

This place got a hygiene rating of 1!! That basically means the staff do NOT wash their hands and that food is contaminated! The hot dog was a frozen sausage from tesco! Avoid!

Never had any issues so a bit shocked to see people have! My husband and I favourite takeaway, love the tenders - such a great range of flavours. Burgers are insanely yummy, and the milkshakes are just to die for! Even our kids love it. We had friends over recently and ordered from here and we were all very impressed!

First time using, food fantastic and arrived on time

Over prices and food isnt good for the price. Burger didn't taste good and chips not cooked enough. My standard isnt high for a burger takeaway.. but this was terrible

Really awful. Waste of money. Ordered a white chocolate waffle, a chicken burger, and a milkshake. After waiting an hour for the food I called the restaurant. They said it would be there within the next few minutes. Took 1.5 hours to arrive in total. Delivery guy did apologise at least. Waffle was soggy, burger and milkshake were average. After such a long wait for some food it was so disheartening to be let down even further.

Slow service. Poor portions. Cash only. I find it expensive and I now live in London! Update: Replied to my review saying they investigated and the employees said they were busy, but I didn't say when I ordered, it was a very quiet day and I was in store.

Service was nice but the food just isn’t up to par at all. You might as well go to you local chicken and chip shop. Buns to big - no enough meat. Plus the advertised Monterey Jack cheese and just gave me regular slice of processed cheese. Poor geezer didn’t even know the difference. The milkshakes are all an awful vanilla yellow. There’s no milk in the shake just blended ice cream so nothing comes through the straw at all. So that £5 was wasted and all.

Food is awesome, second to none, I regularly eat there, only annoying thing is the staff, no offence, but are really hard to communicate with over the phone and speak quite broken english, and when you ask them to leave something out/put something in, half the time they forget. Reasonably priced food, however the price for the same meal does tend to fluctuate, one day youll pay a fiver, the next a tenner.. Once again tho, food wise, can't fault them for taste, freshness and quality. UPDATE: today had a delivery driver who as he left, decided to tell me that the price has always been more but have been doing me a wrap with chilli con carne in it, and charging me less as a favour and that today would be the last time they did it although this was the first ive heard of it being a favour as ive ordered the exact same meal multiple times for the same prices.. he said it in quite a rude way because I was annoyed at having to pay an extra £3 for what I have every time.. having ordered probably atleast once a week from there since it opened, today will be the last, well done delivery driver.

Just ate from Route 66 in Coulsdon, was AMAZING!!! The burgers were so full and juicy, milkshake is amazing and the waffles!!! The waffles were so good I couldn’t even finish them 😍. Wasn’t too expensive, reasonably priced and my food came early! Best burger EVER!!!

Do not go here if you are vegetarian. The sides and vegetarian burgers are cooked in the same oil as the chicken. Buns are toasted on the same griddle as the meat. My experience while waiting for my first visit was seeing the vegetable burgers I ordered placed on the griddle on top of some bacon, which it became stuck to. The bacon was then removed and I questioned as to whether they were my burgers. I complained that I didn't want it them as the veg burgers were mixed with the meat, and the staff member said that I was in the wrong for not informing them that I am vegetarian. More still he said that I should have said that I am vegan, in which case he could have made arrangements as such. Afterwards his colleague made it clear that it would not have made a difference as all the burgers and fries are all cooked in the same oil as the chicken, and I should have noticed that myself. Thankfully they did give me a refund, but only after making me wait 5 minutes for that pleasure, citing that they had to wait for a manager to arrive from elsewhere.

Had a Texan burger last night and all I can still taste is fish. Pity cos I was really looking forward to a nice burger. Also I hate fish.

After reading on trip advisor that the food doesn't deliver well we decided to collect. Quick summery - not nice and pretty horrible. Chips were cold and had obviously been cooked ages ago. Onion rings were like the frozen ones you buy in a supermarket. Chicken tenders were like eating spicy dog meat. Burger and wings were ok but very average, nothing special.
