The food for the price was awful, the chicken burgers were burnt and looked formulated rather than 100% chicken. The only decent thing was the milkshake. It’s a shame, as this place used to be amazing for their food.

Wow....we dined in and the food was amazing!. If we are ever back in the area again I would definitely go again.

Nice place and yummy food! There was a hijabi staff member that was very friendly, and very funny too, I’ve not seen her the past few times me and my partner have been, which is a shame, however the food never disappoints. Would definitely recommend :)

Prior to placing my order delivery time was 25-35mins. After paying that changed to 90mins! When my food arrived it was cold. Really disappointing as Route 15 are usually reliable.

processed Aldi sausages from a jar. American hotdog not even near. Charged for mustard that was straight out of a cash and carry , coleslaw definitely out of a tub. Worth the money...no.

Awful awful awful. We normally order from here and its lovely but this time it was a huge waste of £41 … mac and cheese was lumpy and curdled cheese, chips cold and hard, mozzerella sticks soggy and funny tasting and crispy onions taste like nail varnish. This is the same food I usually have which is really nice! The quality was shocking and then to make matters worse when i called up the rude girl on the phone was absolutely no help, i could hear her slagging us off in the background and then offered me no refunds. We were offered 20% off our next order to which i advised there wouldnt be a next time as this was so shocking. I only wanted a partial refund of 50% and she just said sorry no. She then said bye and hung up without sorting the issue and providing a resolution. I rang back and advised id been hung up on for somebody to then tell me i will get a 10% off next time… i mean seriously is it 20% or 10%?? Poor excuse for food and poor excuse for staff. Totally disappointing! Lost customers and food in the bin happy friday x

Absolutely disgusted. I paid over £30 and they have sent me the completely wrong order. I have no kids meal for my daughter. No drinks at all. I am Absolutely livid and to top it all off they don't even answer their phones!!

Really really enjoyed it. Lovely burger. It was a long wait however and only us and another family there whilst just eat order kept going out every few minutes. It was a tad frustrating. Wonderful tasting big pig burger though

Absolutely amazing restaurant, will definitely be going again. Really good food in big portions. It really feels like the restaurant was just carried over from America and dropped in Scunthorpe.

I was informed that one of the workers referred to me and my friends as "ratty girls that walked in." we didn't cause any disruption or annoyance to anyone there and were quiet and respectful. the restaurant is unsupervised and once closed in the middle of the day, when disclaimed as "open" online. waited about 2 hours for them to reopen. Place shouldn't be run by teenage girls who are reluctant and not in favour of serving unproblematic customers.

Came here this afternoon for a birthday dinner and wasn't disappointed. Big portions at a good price and the staff couldn't have been more friendlier and attentive, so much so that they noticed my daughters birthday badge and let her choose a waffle for free. Lovely gesture. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back.

Lovely food well worth the money and friendly staff

Visited with a 14 year old for her birthday young woman serving decorated and brought the cake out, lovely service, she couldn't have done any more. Lovely food.

Visited the diner for tea during the week after attending the Ironstone Medical Centre with my Granddaughter, Sister and Brother in law. I must say I was impressed with the no grandeur decoration once inside. Lots of pics on the wall, the older generation of our group played a guessing game of who were the 50's celebrities whilst waiting for our food. 19 year old Grandaughter named Marilyn Monroe straight away. Her legend lives on!! We ordered coca cola, can be ordered in the bottles or cans. The food was about 15 minutes before it arrived but it was cooked from fresh so I was happy to wait. It was delivered to our table on wooden boards and very presentable. The food tasted delicious. I have to mention this, toilets were absolutely spotless. In my book, a bonus. Visit the American Diner in Scunthorpe if you want a 50's style no frills experience. You will enjoy for sure with very reasonable prices😁

Was 40 mins waiting for burger and chips but it was really nice. Maybe caught them short staffed as it weren't busy. Would definitely return though

Tasty food and good sized portions. Very friendly, welcoming and accomodating service. Clean eating area and toilets. Reasonable prices 6 of us wuth mains puddings and drinks for eighty quid. Enjoyed by all.

Went to visit my Mum today, and we had takeout food from here. Really impressed with both the food quality, and the portion sizes. 4 big adult meals for 40 quid, including delivery, I don't think is bad at all as it's a step up in quality from a KFC or McDonalds!

Great tasting food and desserts. Went here with my family and we had a platter of starters, mac n cheese, burgers, cookie dough, waffles and milkshakes - safe to say we tried a considerable amount of the menu! The portion sizes are great value for money and the service from the staff is brilliant!

If I could give 0 stars I would ruined my birthday celebrations, waiting an hour and 40mins if not more for my food which they got wrong 3 times and when I did get it it was cold. The old owner was so much better - would not recommend definitely not going again.

This place has a great feeling and is a little bit different from the usual places in town, the choice of food is really good and most importantly it tastes good too, nice staff, not the cheapest prices but they are not serving run of the mill food either. Good selection of drinks and sweets if you can manage one, if anything they could do with calling at the table a bit more often during your meal to see if you want more drinks etc as we went as a group and had to get their attention each time we wanted more of anything but generally very impressed with the place.

My partner and I ordered two burgers and chips the food was hot and tasty, it arrived quickly we enjoyed it and will definitely order again.

Really great food I can speak only for the big pig burger which was cooked to perfection with high quality ingredients and the smoothie which is just one of many great drinks makes it easily worth the £13.

Wondered in here on a whim. Never been before and was pleasantly surprised. Food reasonably priced. Well presented and tasted good. Staff polite. Would return if ever back in Scunthorpe

When we arrived we stood waiting to be seated dor like 15 mins the only table that was free was one ghat had been used previously and had all the dirty pots on it. So we sat there waiting for the table to be cleared for ages before we was asked what meal we wanted. I Ordered the chicken and rib main meal the ribs were microwaved and they didn't hide the fact either as I seen the cook put them in. When they arrived they were rubbery and disgusting . I have never left ribs on my plate in my life but these were awful...I certainly won't be going again!

Best cheeseburger I've ever had - cooked to perfection, generously topped with REAL cheese, onion rings crispy & the whole meal a credit to the cook. Washed down with a diet Coke in a traditional Glass bottle & straw - made me feel like a teenager again! Premises spotless, staff friendly, service quick. Highly recommended

We have ordered from these folks multiple times during the lockdown, the food is always tasty and the delivery has never been late. Most recently I made a mistake with the order and was informed that the food was already being cooked. I offered to pay for a new item to be added to our order to correct my own screw up and the manager very kindly handled this without charge. I think this exemplifies my experience every time I order, great food and great service - can't ask for better than that!

Definitely one of the greatest place’s to eat in Scunthorpe. Today I have used they’re online delivery service and that was grate👍🏻 I have ordered a burger 🍔 called BIG PIG😂 And couldn’t finish in one go🤤 Highly recommend it to everyone Free ice cream 🍦 buzzing ❤️

First time I came here was back in 2014, just before Deadpool came out in cinemas. Since then I've returned several times, usually during my long breaks between college periods (I finished college a few months ago now, and used to have 3 hour luls between periods) This food is top quality. The price says it all. If you're willing to fork out the extra cash on the meals, you'll be glad you did. The staff, while a small group, are really great and a bunch of friendly faces. And I'm a Guy who loves the 1960-80's American decor, so seeing the walls lined with number plates of different states, pictures of Presley, Monroe, Hepburn and so on and so forth is great. Plus, who doesn't enjoy old fashion rock and roll on a Jukebox? I should really revisit this place for old times sakes, and I need a good filling meal again. Seriously worth the 4.7 rating on Google. I dread to read the 1 Star reviews, in case I find snooty, pompous rich kids or self-centred people who can't find joy in even the little things.

Love all things American and this little diner on a Scunthorpe high street did not disappoint! Had the route 15 deluxe and looked and tasted as good (if not better) than most the gourmet burger joints I've visited. Will definitely be recommending this diner to friends.

I try to pop in whenever I'm in the town centre. Visiting this place takes my outing up to another level. Normally I'm very cautious with what I eat, but here I tend to indulge. I like their yummy pancakes best of all! My friend loves all their burgers!
