Brilliant food great and Peter the landlord is a great cook.

Pop into here every now and again, very friendly and great views, would be lovely in summer, haven't eaten here yet but looking forward to it food always looks appetising.

Traditional village pub . Friendly atmosphere and Theakstons Lightfoot cask ale was a nice surprise as I've never seen that outside of Masham.

Service is very poor. Long waits for food. Noisy environment. Food selection poor as few items on menu available. Food itself is ok with large portions.

Not overpriced but food came out after 40 mins wait, one meal was overcooked while one was cold and had to be sent back. Not that impressed and they need to do better. Pub wasn't busy either.

Stopped off whilst cycling for a couple of cool drinks. Was made welcome and the pub has a good atmosphere. Food is served but we didn't bother as we were only making a quick stop. Plenty of outside seating some of which overlooks the river Trent.

Pub needs a little bit of tlc.. Womens toilets stunk of urine and the paint was coming off the walls. The lasagne was awful it was burnt, dry and huge chunks of beef mince no sauce or bechamel whatsoever usually would have garlic bread or salad. It was served with fries.. also found a hair in my lasagne. I left mine and i noticed the waitress didnt ask if our meals were ok but she did ask the table next to us who had empty plates.. Good job it was only cheap or I wouldnt have paid.

Been in tonight. Waited 45 minutes for food, although didn't mind the wait for fresh food. There was hardly any other diners in. I ordered lasagne, when it arrived it was dry, congealed and burnt round the edges. I sent it back. The poor young waitress had to deal with this. The chef should have come out to sort this, but didn't. The waitress said I could order something else. I'd waited 45 minutes and my husband's meal had arrived so I declined. On a plus side the drinks were reasonably priced. Need a manager /landlord to sort this out.

Waited over an hour for food and all 5 meals were poor. Dry steak pies. One burnt lasagna, one lasagna mushy and one cold jacket potato. Never been before and won't be going again. Some other food coming out looked ok. They did not charge for the meals.

We've just left the White Hart, a pub I've passed so many times but never gone into. Four of us all had fish and chips and it was really really good fish. Good beer and good service, lovely little pub. Also, they do takeaway fish and chips... We will be returning!

Great village pub. Features interesting ales and very good bar food. Quality excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Family run pub. Always friendly. I live 90 miles away but they know me because I visit many times a year with family.

Was taken for a treat yesterday for a lovely fresh home cooked Lamb Dinner and it was absolutely gorgeous a brilliant value for money. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. I had a starter too and it was gorgeous too.🙂

Good value for money. Ribeye steak and all the trimmings 7.95. Loads of different beers.

Great food, great friendly village pub

This little pub is a lovely place to be. It's what a traditional country pub is all about. Very friendly. Great food at great prices and a good selection of drinks avaliable. Situated on the banks of the trent with a few benches and kids slides on the grass verge makes it a great place in summer months too if you are passing by. A small car park is situated next to the pub.
