Roti Masters in Sutton

I am very disappointed with the customer service I received today. My sister and I came in today and bought two curry chicken roti. As I was about to pay my phone battery died, so I asked my sister if she can pay for my food. My sister kindly asked the woman(owner) if we can pay together. She got angry and said “why didn’t you guys said this earlier” and went on kissing her teeth. The customer service is zero!!!!!!!! I will never be purchasing from you guys ever again. As a fellow Trini, I am disappointed! Most rudest woman of all time. I’ve visited this shop on many occasions, and I must say when the man(owner) serves, the customer service is much better. Please owner(man) retrain your fellow owner(woman) because you will lose a lot of customers because of her bad attitude. Her attitude is BAD!!! I now see why there’s nobody in your roti shop. Disgusting behaviour!!!!

Brilliant roti, plenty of meat, potato, spices and flavour. Lovely customer service. Make sure you ask for pepper sauce! Great meal for a family of four.

A really warm and welcoming place, with authentic and tasty Trinidad dishes. I went for the curry goat with plantain and it was delicious ❤️ Felt like home. Best of luck to you, see you soon !

The food was on point. Doubles and the bake and saltfish combo amazing the rotis with potatoes were full of flavour and not overly salted / full of chilli heat ....the balance of flavours, the quality of the rotis were excellent and this hidden gem in Sutton of all places needs to be tried out...its a place for ALL to try if you like Indian curries you'll love these carribbean Trinidadian cuisine....give them a go you won't be disappointed.

As a caribbean born, I must say the chicken roti i had today was really tasty........I had the same roti twice last year and it was not half as tasty when compared to the roti today...Maybe they got a new chef!!!

I had Curry Chicken and Curry Goat with roti and paratha. Absolutely amazing. Mum said it was the best Curry Goat that she ever had. If you are a sucker for the Trini flavours Look no further than this little gem At the heart of Sutton Will give you the total satisfaction

Indifferent and rude staff who don't listen when you place an order. The woman (owner) is so miserable and never smiles or wants to engage in any type of conversation. And to add insult to injury, when I asked to have my food warmed up, the response from the younger man in crocs, was that it was fresh off the oven. He lied. Waste of money and an actual embarrassment to Caribbean cuisine. I can see why they got ran out of Croydon. Disgusting attitudes!

Lovely people in store and GREAT food! Roti was a childhood favourite and they didn't disappoint... perfectly seasoned meat dishes too (with extra hot sauce if you want it 😜). Please don't change 🙏🏼 Big up Roti Masters 🙌🏼💜

I received the wrong order when I visited and called back to make a complaint. I spoke with a lovely lady who was more than happy to accept responsibility for the mishap, and go one further by replacing the wrong order. Always a pleasurable experience when such a timely intervention is made.

Ordered on Deliveroo honestly it was an embarrassment, the chicken was more like an empty caucus. Mac an cheese was microwaved and vile Ox tail was ok in fairness but the other two were awful, really disappointing Deliveroo refunded the order as it was so bad so I’m not fussed about the money, but as a restaurant owner this was not a good look which is a shame that a review is necessary. It’s not even difficult to put right either but fix up because that was a shambles

Popped in after work because my girlfriend wanted to try it out. She knew some things about Caribbean food but the guy behind the counter really helped us know what each different item was and made it a lot easier for us to decide what to order. We could ask anything and he was more than happy to tell us or show us with pictures or other food in the restaurant. The food itself was brilliant (we got doubles, salt fish bake, and a dumpling) and really warmed us up after waiting in the cold for a bus. We’re going back to get some mains and it’s probably going to become my new lunch spot for when I’m working on the high street. 10/10, can’t wait to try more

Myself and my husband went here last night and were greeted by the owner, Trevor. He was really friendly and his passion for his food really shines through. We had a lovely chat whilst waiting for our order and he took the time to explain what everything is to us. We got the curry goat and jerk chicken and it was really nice. We would definitely be returning. Thank you Trevor.

If you like your jerk chicken that tastes nothing like jerk chicken this is the place for you.

THE deadest curry goat and look at the plantain man 🤢 The meat didn’t even taste like goat. Do not recommend it at all, don’t waste your money. 👍🏼

The food that I have just brought was one of the worst peppered steak and rice I have ever tasted. Both meat and rice were dry and hard and tasteless. I didn't even get rice and beans. Just basic white rice. I will never buy from there again 40quid in the bin. There as so much better places out. I wouldn't even bother going there.

First time having food from here. It was nice a little different from the first roti I've had before but still nice. Had it on dialysis will not make that mistake again the roti is heavy on the stomach so my blood pressure drop very low and I became sick on the machine.

Hi guys I asked the reception whether they do kothu roti she said yes ,so I ordered 2 chicken kothu roti and 2 mutton kothu roti but I ended up with roti with chicken and mutton,I called the restaurant and asked ,when I place the order asked for kothu roti she said yes,kothu roti is shrilankan dish ,you mix roti with meat,I ended with roti and curry, also less meat and more potatoes,form that price, unbelievable.for £34.

Tried their mutton soup with spice. Wow, tasty, would highly recommend. If you guys are looking to relocate to East Sussex, we need a Roti Master in Eastbourne

Welcoming atmosphere, friendly service and yummy food! Good portions and nicely packaged :) plantain was a lil dry but we did order late so probably just luck of the draw!

Ordered a chickpea and potato roti wrap and vegetable pattie. The filling in the wrap was the only decent thing, apart from the microwave. The pattie i can compare to a supermarket pasty wacked in the microwave. And roti was powdery. Literally flour falling from it. Awful

I was really dissatisfied with the buss up shot and the prawn curry. The buss up shot was rubbery as if it had been frozen then defrosted not fresh at all. The fish escovitch taste so bland.. so so blend food I cant believe how tasteless it was. I'm sorry to leave the review but I had to.

Used to visit this place when it was located in Croydon loved it. but then I moved :-(. Then it moved to Sutton, and it has moved again but still in Sutton. As I was in the area I managed to drop in. Lovely little cafe, lovely food and lovely people. I will be making the effort to visit more often despite the hour each way journey.

Very small portion but still very tasty the manager gentleman was very polite next time I'm gonna order larger size 😀 😉 😊 👍 😁 😄

If you want really good Trini food this is the place. Great goat roti, and that's coming from someone who usually doesn't like goat roti. Enjoyed the doubles, best Sorrel and Guinness Punch in London. Just great food and customer service. We'll see you guys soon.

Just ordered from Uber eats and safe to say never again will I order from here! The curry goat came looking over microwaved and burnt and did not smell like curry goat at all. The patty was soggy and clearly hadn’t been made fresh.

I'm truly confused because the ratings do not reflect the food I received today. I ordered curry goat/goat curry with rice & peas...please tell me why I had beef instead? I know my meat and my food was 100% beef, im so annoyed because for £8 I'm not expecting some bland beef curry. Perhaps your usual clientele may not know the difference but as someone who cooks goat, has nuff curry goat I know what I'm taking about. Thoroughly dissapointed.

The curry goat is great. But what kind of West Indian restaurant doesn't serve coleslaw on their menu? So weird.

Me and my son like coming here for goat curry. Good food. Presentation of the food can be easily enhanced by adding a small portion of leafy salad.

Roti: the flavours in the roti are VERY good, very very good. However the size is just too small for the price.

I am always craving Dhalpuri as a mauritian so finding this Caribbean joint down the road from work was an absolute dream. I bought a chicken curry dhalpurie with some scotch bonnet pepper mixed in , it was a beautiful lunch and made me feel like I was home ! And the portion size was enough for two , almost wish for a smaller size! And the dhalpuri itself was soft and light as it should be ! Defo recommend! Will be back to try the doubles ! 🫶🏻☺️

First & last time I’ll be ordering from here unfortunately - went off the reviews & was sorely disappointed. Food did not have any taste whatsoever ordered a curry goat roti and received a potato and gravy with a dash of beef roti - order £40+ worth of food and not one dish was enjoyable. Curry chicken was dry & there was nothing jerk about the jerk chicken. Highly disappointed & annoyed at the waste of money spent.

Roti masters is the best authentic Carribbean food place in the area. I knew them from their previous store in Croydon and now relocated here in Sutton. The restaurant is lovely decor and has about seating for 10 or so people but people mainly are ordering to take away. The menu has a your basics covered and spicy enough for anyone brave enough. I ordered the chicken curry in a dhal Puri and it was really great and at 7poinds great value too. If you are from the Carribbean or want to taste the real deal come over and enjoy a wonderful meal.

Went there for first time last night and was not disappointed. All the food we got from there was worth trying. Well cooked, flavoured and very friendly customer service. Prices and portions are good as well. Will definitely go back again and will definitely recommend to friends!!!

I don't think I have ever come across a restaurant in London where they take such care of the quality of their food. I have tried several different restaurants that offer similar menus, but I have never had curry goat as tasty as at Roti Masters in Sutton. This restaurant may be small and modest, but the curry goat is magnificent. Also, I have never seen any restaurant staff take better care in packaging the take-away food in their containers. This small gesture of care shows how much they respect their food and their customers. I therefore do not hesitate in giving Roti Masters in Sutton 5 stars! Thank you!

I went there for the first time today and will definitely be going back for more. Ordered a beef roti, Stew chicken meal and curry chicken meal. All 10/10. You won't be disappointed. The "special" Guinness punch hit the spot too.

YES YES YES. Amazing owners and staff, always making me feel welcome. My favourite eatery in all of Sutton. Prices are fair, portion sizes are amazing and the flavours are delicious. There are vegetarian and vegan options. The plantain and patties are tasty and you must try a tradition Trini double which is two fried bread with curried chickpeas in the middle. YUM.

Sorry for the really bad review, I didn't enjoy the food at all. As a person from the Caribbean, I can't recommend this is standard that reflects the quality food I know, love and have been bought up with. Please, please do something about this as the only Carribbean takeaway shop in Sutton.

Tried roti masters for the first time few days back. I had chicken curry and potato wrap. Portion size is fine however it is pricey for that taste. Roti was a bit dry as it was heated in the microwave. Secondly chicken chunks were big and potato were big as well due to that the wrap was falling apart. Taste was very bland chicken was chewy and potatoes were dry. It was hard to eat due to roti being soggy which is understandable however in the bag there were no napkins nothing. Overall taste was okish but for that price you can have better Caribbean taste in Croydon and Brixton.

This rare cuisine from Trinidad and Tobago won't disappoint. The food is nice and the staff are welcoming. Btw this is the place to get Macaroni Pie which is better than mac n cheese

The food from here is very tasty and this is my lunch a few times a week. I usually have the Chickpea and potato roti with a side of fried fish. I've ordered from here a number of times and the curries have always been tasty and the roti's soft and yummy too. I've given 3 stars bcoz the last couple of times, the food has changed a bit. The chickpea and potato was a bit dry and the roti has gotten thicker so a little bit stodgy. Also, it is being wrapped in a different way which is not as good as the previous way. Not sure if this was an intentional change but for me, it does not work. Wen the food is delivered, the middle of the roti is soggy and the filling is falling out at the edges. Please go back to how you guys were which is 5 out of 5. Thanks.

Atmosphere very pleasant and service with a smile. The food, obviously specialising in roti dishes, as well as other Caribbean dishes, are delicious and tasty. Recommend a visit, as you can sit and have your meal too. Will definitely go back again.

Visited their new location for the first time. The food is amazing as ever and the service is wonderful. So great to gind authentic Trini cooking. Walking in takes me back to walking into my granny's kitchen.

Delicious and great service - they did forget a dish but re-delivered super quickly and very apologetic. Curry chicken was so tender and all felt very fresh. Will be back soon!

Just had the Jamaican jerk chicken rice and peas was so tasty. The staff in there were so friendly. Definitely recommend and will be returning to try out other things on the menu.

This is the best Caribbean takeaway in Surrey. I have tried lots all over the country and it’s up there. . The food is tasty and the portions are big. The service is so relaxed and friendly. Try the tasty Jerk chicken or the succulent Curry Goat . For the starters you have to try the doubles. 👍🏾 I have been back a few times already.
