Fantastic food served here, well worth a visit, with enough choice for vegetarians too. Recommend the cauliflower. Best poppadoms!

Absolutely unbelievable food and service. The mashup of Scottish and Indian scran doesn’t sound like a natural pairing at first but it is seriously good. It’s all served tapas style so you can try a full mix of stuff. The Kashmiri pork curry, cheese and onion bhaji and spicy scotch egg were the highlights but we enjoyed everything. Loved the Irn Bru negroni too! The owner went to extra lengths to ensure we were having a good night. All in all a fantastic experience.

£65 for 2 people. 1 drink each as the atmosphere was not good, so we were in and out in 40 mins. Food is reheated, which leaves some dishes very hard to eat, including the chicken burger. If you want nice food at a good price, go somewhere else. Service is good.

Simply amazing tapas style Indian restaurant. It's been voted no 1 ,from our curry club,we've tried over 24 different Indian restaurants. In the last 2 years. Huge thanks to Ryan and his chef.

If you like freshly prepared, tasty food, then don't come here. The sound of the microwave pinging as our food was heated/reheated wasn't the most settling. Dishes to avoid are; cauliflower cheese (mostly inedible) sausage supper (no Indian twist) and the haggis. The daal and prawns were good. The service is very good.

Absolutely loved this place! Very friendly place, with attentive staff. Food was unreal! We shared 6 dishes between two people and they all tasted great. We couldn't actually pick a favourite. We will be coming back for sure! Thanks Roti!

Update 19 July 2024 As good as ever 💯 Party of two enjoyed six dishes and a couple of drinks. The food was sumptuous, drinks were refreshing and it was really good value. Thank you ROTI, you are my favourite Indian culinary experience in M41 by some distance. Any thoughts on opening in Monton? 😍 Indian street food/tapas style dining. My wife and I visited, enjoying 5 main dishes that were absolutely delicious, and we had the deep fried Mars bar for desert which topped off a fabulous dining experience. My wife enjoyed her cocktail (of which there was a good selection to choose from) and my Roti IPA was very pleasant. We cannot recommend Roti highly enough and will be re-visiting with friends and family very soon.

I love eating here and will visit again. Great for a family occasion or just a quick catch up with a friend

In all honesty, we only went to Roti as it was open on a Tues eve. I had a quick look at the menu beforehand and wasn't sure about the Scottish twist. It turned out to be the best restaurant in Urmston we've tried. The food was incredible! I've never given an online review before but Roti deserves to be very successful and it seems a little quiet when I walk past. Please give it a try - and definitely try the haggis!

Fantastic food… a complete taste explosion in my mouth. The deep fried mars bar and ice cream… insanely good. Wonderful service by Mo who was such a great host and so knowledgeable about the brand and concept behind the Scottish / Indian street food infusion! Highly recommend.

Came on a Wednesday evening around 6.30pm. A warm welcome and speedy service. Never thought I'd enjoy a deep fried haggis pakora but I fully recommend it!! Great food, will be back

Enjoyed an excellent meal on a Monday evening. The server was very attentive and engaged. Food was really good - highlights were the scotch egg, Kashmiri pork, and mince + tatties. Drinks wise I can highly recommend the Roti IPA, and my friend enjoyed his Irn-Bru negroni.

The food is excellent, easily some of the best in Urmston. The service is also wonderful - such kind staff who go the extra mile to make sure you have a lovely experience. Would definitely recommend.

Food was very good. Initially made a reservation based on promotion on Facebook. When we ordered drinks our server told us the promotion is not valid today due to "a lot of cancellations". We wanted to try a new restaurant, but we have never been. Instead of £20 promotion per person spent £75 for both of us. Left comment on Facebook false advertisement page. The restaurant apologized and asked to write a detailed email of the event ensuring me that it didn't falsely advertise on Facebook. I wrote the email like 4 weeks ago. Still waiting to reply. That is the reason I would not recommend the restaurant. Don't mind spending money but don't offer something you are not delivering.

Have been meaning to try Roti for a while, as have heard/read a lot about it. And it didn’t disappoint. Tried the famous IrnBru Negroni (delicious, and a bit sweeter than your regular Negroni), and enjoyed my house poppadums… with it being small plates, I ordered the shallow fried prawns (superb), the tarka daal (hotter than I was expecting, but so tasty), the haggis samosa (couldn’t resist it) and some rice. Flavour, quality and portions sizes all spot on (which can’t be said for all small plate restaurants), as was the friendly, genuine and attentive service. I cannot fault this place, Urmston is very lucky to have it. Will be back soon. Thanks, R

Superb! Fitted us in last minute, and attentive from the moment we walked in. The food was another level, and I can't wait to return and try the other menu options.

Wow the food!!! Honestly, that is the freshest Indian-version I have ever tasted! We had 2/3 dishes each after the poppadoms and every course knocked it out of the park! Unbelievably fresh and tasty. Would whole-heartedly recommend to all!

We visited here at 5pm & only us in there so can’t rate the atmosphere, however the decor was great & feel it will have a great atmosphere when busy. The food was fabulous & we were asked our opinion in the food & given great attentive service. We checked out the menu & already know what we’d like to try next time. I visited tonight with my wife. The ambience was good & the food, especially the fish Malibar curry, was fantastic. The service was attentive without being invasive. I’d totally recommend Roti, and we will definitely visit again. A fun & exciting way to spend a Friday evening.

I wanted this place to be so much better than it was. The drinks menu is very disappointing, could of forgiven a lot more with a decent glass of wine. The service was very attentive, the food was dry, over cooked, and generally underwhelming. The instagramable poppadoms were, drowned it over sweet sauce that made them soggy. Some tweeks and this place could work.

Went recently and it was a delight. The food was fresh, well presented, tasted amazing and they even adjusted it for my tolerance level. The staff were lovely and the Irn Bru cocktail fabulous. Recommended.

What an amazing experience. First time trying this evening. Staff were very welcoming. The food was very tasty. Would recommend the mince and patties, scotch egg and haggis pakora. Will definitely be going back again. Tried a deep fried mars bar for the first time ever as this is the only dessert they have (comes with ice cream). If you haven't tried a deep fried mars bar yet, you have to.

Mediocre experience altogether, we thought everything was very affordable until we found that the portions were for gnomes. We first ordered properdoms but fyi they the sauce is not on the side but on top of the properdoms so if you can’t handle spicy food, just ask for plain ones right away. When it comes to the main courses, the waiter could have told us that everything was served as tapas because we were really surprised and kinda disappointed when we saw that our main courses were the size of appetisers… We ordered the butter chicken and the kashmir pork, which were very good. The tatties were also good, but the pork wrapped in roti was floury and the sausage and scotch eggs tasted really bad and cheap, the cauliflower cheese was very bland and the cheese sauce was watery. When we told the waiter that the cauliflower cheese didn’t taste like anything, he offered us some samosas with chickpeas no charge. The samosa itself is floury and pretty bland, but the chickpeas were very tasty, I really enjoyed them. The waiter was nice and understanding, but we wouldn’t go again.

Would like to review the food but was turned away at the door. Booking system needs to be improved - customers should not be double booked.

Went with a group of friends, the guy serving was great, explaining the menu, drinks etc. Food was gorgeous, only ordered two dishes, it was enough for me. I chose onion bhaji, in a cheese sauce, they were yummy, the other dish was haggis panoramic, gorgeous. All the food is quite spicy. Everyone said their choice of food was really good.

Loved it! This place is something a bit different : Indian with a Scottish twist. Inside it is quirkily decorated and very small, so booking is advisable, especially at peak times. The menu is split into vegetarian, meat, and seafood sections, and most dishes are small, so in a way it's like tapas or meze - choose two or three dishes per person. For the two of us we had the "properdoms", three dishes and two sides, and we felt this was the ideal amount. Everything was delicious, and we were full at the end. Great food, fun surroundings, and good service. We'll be back!

Gorgeous food with a great selection to choose from. Scottish meets Indian tapas with all tastes catered for with choice of vegetarian, fish and different meat dishes. Highly recommend the negroni irn bru cocktail as well.

Excellent service provided by the lovely young girl, full of knowledge, lovely to chat with and was outstanding. Great choice of food, tasty. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to others.

Had high hopes of this place after having both very good food and service at both Sale and Chorlton. Unfortunately Urmston did not live up to our expectations. We asked for a table for 8pm and was told that only 8.30 pm was available. Upon arrival we were not served until 8.45pm and told that the kitchen closed at 9.00 pm so the waitress had to check with the kitchen if we could order starters first and then further dishes instead of ordering everything at once as we didn’t want everything to arrive at the same time. The fish starters were very good however either the chef had gone home or took exception to having to work beyond 9.00 pm as the further dishes were either burnt or cold, so when asked if everything was ok we replied that it wasn’t. We let the burnt and blackened scotch egg pass as we were hungry and the kitchen had closed, however the pork wraps were cold and soggy and not acceptable. The only upside was that the pork wraps were deducted from the bill, however by this time we had lost the appetite for a desert, which we had recommended to our guests the deep fried Mars bar, that’s if we could have actually ordered one as it had gone past 9.00 pm ! What we experienced had spoilt a joint birthday and wedding anniversary. Note to owner, you need to have the kitchen open up until at least 10pm if you are going to take bookings up until 9pm if you wish to have satisfied clients in the future who don’t feel rushed in to ordering food and who want a relaxing evening and not be disappointed with poor quality food.

Great to see someone bringing something new. Very welcoming, looks great and has a cool sort of vibe. We had lunch on the 5th of August 2023. The menu isn't extensive but is better for it. The idea is small plates done well and swiftly and they manage that with ease. You need 2 or 3 plates dependant on your usual intake. For a sitting for 4 with drinks and poppadum's (you have to have these), the bill came to a little short of £100. I consider it money well spent and will certainly return,.

The poppadoms were fab everything after was well portioned and tasty I had 5 or 6 dishes service was good however was expecting great things after the poppadoms just didn't reach the heights will still return here as much of the menu not tried

Scottish-Indian fusion works really well! Food tasted lovely, good menu selection and service attentive. The tapas style menu meant you can choose a few things to share and the cocktails were lovely too. Roti fried mars bar and ice cream was a great dessert! Excellent addition to Urmston

A brilliant meal, real helpful and friendly staff - we will definitely be back

I don't usually write reviews as I think they are sometimes forced and not warranted but I've never been so determined to write a review. I went on a Saturday at around 2pm with my wife and was met with fantastic service. The waitress (didn't get her name but had an American accent) treated us like actual humans and made us feel at home from the start. She told us to order around 5-6 dishes for the two of us which we did. 5 dishes off the menu and a side of rice was perfect for us. The food was absolutely incredible and definitely the best food I've had in a long time. Unique and delicious. The scotch egg, haggis balls and yoghurt parcels were amazing. The restaurant only seats around 15-20 people so don't risk it and book a table as I have no doubt this will be a very popular restaurant in the coming months. We ordered 6 dishes and 4 drinks which came to £68 which is a fantastic price considering the quality of food and service provided. I will absolutely be returning here and will be bringing the family.

Wanted to try Roti in Sale, but never got round to it. Feel like I've been missing out for years. Food and service was incredible, will 100% be going back. Many times.

This is what Urmston needed a great curry place with a twist. The food is superb and interesting. I have been going to roti for a few years since they first opened in Chorlton and it gets better and better. They often change the menu which keeps it interesting. I have tried most of the menu and never been disappointed. Ryan and his team are amazing nothing is too much trouble. If you love Indian food then you have to try this place, I highly recommend it.

After hearing a lot of positive feedback for the Salerestaurant, my wife & I visited on opening day. We were very impressed with the food, the service and the general vibe of the place. The Proper Doms, Panjabi Gangat & Haggis Pakora were particular highlights from the food. I also loved the Irn Bru negroni. Will definitely be visiting again (repeatedly).

I really hate the place the appointment was at 9 amd we were ten minutes late and he treated us horrible ,a GP appointment is far better than this ,its a new shop was difficult to find and gave us an appointment for 9 when there kichen close at 9 :00 it seems so bad experience for me and my friend's.

Booked a table here with 2 friends, we all enjoyed it, the food was delicious and had so much flavour. The Atmosphere of the place is lovely. The staff and owner were very friendly and welcoming. Great place, I would recommend and I look forward to visiting again!

Loved this place and can’t wait to go back! The staff were so lovely and really attentive, they were really helpful with the menu and their recommendations were epic. We call in today to make a reservation for 20h00,the owner very friendly and polite,ask us if we could come 21h00 as the restaurant was fully booked,we agreed,we arrived at 20h55 and we were taken to our table by a very friendly young girl. Wow! What an absolute delight it was to experience the exceptional cuisine that Roti has to offer. A Scottish and Indian fusion, every single mouthful was packed with exquisite flavour and was an absolute joy to eat (it was hard to decide what to order, as it all looked phenomenal)! We ordered the Tarka daal, Panjabi gangat (particularly delicious), Kashmiri pork, Haggis pakora, Roti sausage supper and Achari chicken between 2 of us (and that was plenty). The staff were also wonderful - extremely friendly as soon as we arrived and very attentive and welcoming. There are some 1 star reviews on here by people who were late for a booking and their version of events is not accurate (we witnessed the situation!) and should be ignored. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. We can’t wait to go back already!

Genuinely one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Can’t believe we are lucky enough to have this place in Urmston. The food is unbelievable - such a great concept. The Kashmiri Pork, Panjabi Gangat and Tarka Daal were particular highlights. In addition to the wonderful food, the general vibe of the place was perfect with great, upbeat music playing at the perfect volume and excellent reasonably priced IPA and lager. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive either. Can’t wait to return and imagine it will be very hard to book as this place is such a gem!

Very bad experience they give us an appointment at 9 and when we arrived told us the kitchen closes at 9:10 ft really bad on customer service.

We booked an appointment on 17/06/2023 at 9pm but we were 11 mins late and the boss didn’t allow us in and told the kitchen closed at 9 That was really pathetic situation. At least they could inform us when we called for an appointment .

Went on the opening day to Roti and had a great time. The staff were very friendly and informative abou the menu and the food was mega so happy this has opened on my door step. Can't wait for my best visit.
