Roti & Curry Junction in Birmingham

Purchased side order of veg pakora and veg samosa with meat pilau rice. As I am a recurring customer I have to say, the quality of the food has dropped sharply over the last few years. The veg samosa filling lacked flavour and the pastry was tough and very chewy. The veg pakora contained far too much flour, as a result the taste was doughy, and raw on the inside. The only (partial) saving grace was the meat pilau dish which was average-at-best. At the time of writing this review I paid £9.00 for this disappointing meal.

Curries are delicious here and very good value for money. But go early. As they always run out of the popular curries and the meat ones.

Food made me bad to many times now.will not be going back would not recommend

Bought 2 dish's chicken klegi and spinach saag curry Klegi turned out to smell stale so binned it have not tried the saag yet rang owner and he laughed it off like to say happens alot without no remorse or refund mention or a replacement won't be going here again .

Just popped in to get some Nans. Actually have not been there for a bot now. But still the same has has not changed a bit, Nan are 3 for £1.20. It's better than other roti junction in palhem as they are 3 for £1.60. Parking is a big issue here just like the one in Pelhem. At least you can always in this one you can go at the back and park there. Good food, quick service and cheap.

Ask for 4 rotis the guy gave me 2 the handi was cold the roti was hard like he reheated it and left it out for hours

The food is proper good . Service also great. Never have to wait more then 5 mins to be served

This place been round for years. But recently ordered roast chicken . Roast chicken is tasteless. Don’t know what they done with it. It’s so bland.

This place has been around for years and the premises have always looked dirty. Like something from Victorian times. The sheesh kebabs have very little meat/chicken in them. The samosas are tasteless, the katlamas are old and the pakoras are weird tasting. The only reason I still go is to buy their chicken curry (seen below). It’s not too bad although they use chicken thigh instead of breast. They do a chicken breast curry but it’s a different recipe I don’t like. Most people I think go here when they can’t be bothered to cook and buy roti and curry. Hence the name I guess.

Unhygienic place, they serve food but then lick their finger to get a bag off and then touch your food after that!.

I ordered some meat sheesh kebabs from here, there was hardly any meat in there , it was made of just flour and spice , hardly any meat, it was a big embarrassment infront of my guest to serve them at home. I would never ever buy Sheesh kebab from there again, or should I say I would stop going there from now on. I hope this review will help a lot to save them from embarrassment and wasting money on sheesh kebab

Nice curry’s and roti n naan. Sheesh kebabs are decent to chicken or meat. Katlama is nice but it could do with a bit more chutney spicy or mint because the pots they come in are tiny, I mean a couple of dipping scoops and it’s cone and you still have around 60% of the katlama left! 😳🙄please give more chutney with the katlama at least one of each sauce!

Decent food for parties got roast they were bit dry from the top but curry was good. Roti

This place has been here for years. They have a nice and clean setup. Take out only. The staff are nice and polite. Never had any issues. You can get 4 roti for a £1 and 40p for 1 naan. The quality of food always goes up and down, but i presume they make it on a mass level, so it's understandable.

Chapati was very hard. Not for human

Travelled a few hours and decided to stop here. Really disappointed, food was given to us cold for some reason, like fridge cold. So we were unable to eat and had to buy food elsewhere. We decided to take this food home for the evening and after re heating and tasting, the food was awful, like something my toddler had made. Waste of money. Not sure what mixture of meat is used for the seekh kebabs but it was edible, kidney beans were just a paste of uncooked spice. Next time will stop off at a service station.

Over priced the oil is uncontrollable chicken pakoras we're stinking even cat refused to eat . All meat tasted boiled nan was fat doe hard to chew.

This is the original roti and curry shop, before all the afg and Kurdish shops doing the 4 for £1 The have a wide range of curry’s , from lamb , chicken , veg , daals and different rice They also do starts including samosas, pequri , kabab all traditional Pakistani foods , I think it’s grate value for money, and the food is worthy 4*

We don't live close by, but travel here frequent to get food.. they have a wide range of curries that are made fresh daily. We particularly like their chicken and spinach.. reasonably priced with good sized portions. If you've not been here before, it's definitely worth a visit. It's not a dine-in location, it's purely a take out. All of their dishes are listed on their menu, making it easy to find what you want.

Rang and asked for naan. Gentleman on the phone very helpful. Told me they will be ready in 5 minutes. I arrived there approximately 3 minutes later. The Gentleman that on the desk asked if I had just rang and I confirmed yes. He went in the back and gave me my items. Price was very good and the naans tasted awesome. They also had alot of other items to purchase. Was very presented shop. Will definitely recommend to others. Used them a number of times after and are very consistent 👌

Had to wait for someone to decide to serve. Purchased some good looking Seekh kebabs. However, the warmed up kebab's had a strange off putting smell to them and tasted very bland. Had they tasted half decent, I might have overlooked the price. Very disappointed and needless to say won't be returning. I hope they take note of feedback and improve.

Roti Junction is a brilliant little takeout. The owner literally bent over backwards to provide me with the food I required for a small event. He even opened up earlier than usual.and prioritised my order. All of the food was delicious, fresh and very reasonably priced. I'll be returning to Roti Junction the next time i need good quality food at reasonable prices. Thanks Roti Junction!

Nice variety of curry dishes, parking is a big issue

Called 5 minutes before I reached Roti & Curry Junction, the man who answered had 20 naans ready by the time I got there and the naans were fresh, soft and piping hot by the time I reached back home which took 15-20 minutes.

Not a sit down place. It's all to take away. Good choice of dishes with decent prices and whatever we've had is pretty close to home cooked food. Will go there instead of normal takeaways.

Poor quality chappatis. Absolute garbage. Quality has dropped since last couple of months. Covid probably hit them hard and now they need to maximise profits. Do not buy anything from this Shop, old meats second day dishes sold. And roti is a definite no. Can’t digest rubbery and cold. Cheap flour DO NOT RECOMMEND

OvercharCharged. Charged completely different prices to what was on the menu. Poor packing as you can see from the picture. The oil was split evrywhere in the bag. Menu says 3 for a small portion of curry and the miserable guy behind the counter charged me 5. I didn't mind it but atleast have the courtesy to pack the food properly rather than chucking it in the bag without a paper wrap. AVOID!!!

Nice and clean set up. Staff is also polite You can get 4 roti in a pound. Curry with Chana choly, aalo palak and other with just 3 pounds.

The first time I went I was charged £7 for large tub and £6 for small second time the person was there but there was another person on the till and he kept to the price on display cannot fault the food though

Disgusting food that was very heavily salted. When I complained they took the food back and didn't refund my money. Avoid these conmen.

They use to be very good dont think foods as good anymore its ok not the best used them for many years for daily use an for large catering orders now over last couple months mixed feelings on the food you'l have to try to see what you think its not the worst place its clean has alot of variety

Nice take away..but sometimes lack customer service, wouldn't bother you are standing there for order. Food not of very high quality, could say just if you need something different in hurry. Hygiene i would say 3 cause putting bare hands to give food. Which i don't trust.

Decent quality traditional Asian food, fairly priced good for those days where you simply can't cook at home. Only let down is the inconsistency in taste from day to day in the various dishes they offer, one day the meat/veg could taste amazing, the other not so much, otherwise would have been 4 stars.

Great food, always warm and taste is wonderful. Used their services for my wedding catering a couple of years back, couldn’t fault them. Family ordered from them yesterday for Iftari event and again they didn’t disappoint. Would highly recommend. They have a 4* Food H Rating. We have had no issues with them for the many many years we have ordered from them. Thank you for always taking orders at short notice, much appreciated
