Wonderful authentic Italian restaurant, attentive staff and fabulous food.

I visited with my wife and three children. Vincenzo, our waiter was extremely polite and made us feel welcome. The food was delightful and the environment was perfect with amazing views over the harbour. I can not recommend Rossos enough. A fantastic experience that we would go back to in a heart beat.

First off, a very good and lovely place to eat. The food is amazing, the staff are friendly and attentive, they try to keep an eye out for your needs and serve fast. All and all, amazing dinner. I've been here with my girlfriend so I'm visible in the photos (so sorry for that). Other than that, amazing place. Edit: My girlfriend and I have been there for lunch a few days ago and big big shoutout to Vincenzo for the great service. And of course as usual always amazing food even during midday, just amazing!

The food was fab, service ok, but the price of a very small Basic lime and soda at £5 each spoiled it !!

Holidaying along the Swanage coast with family. We decided on a visit to Poole and decided to try Rosso's Italian restaurant for lunch. We were so pleased that we did. We were greeted by lovely smiling faces and sat at a table near to a window overlooking the harbour. Our meals were some of the best Italian food we have eaten for some time (and that's including food we have all eaten in various areas of Italy). The service was excellent and it was a joy to eat there and have a fabulous relaxing and enjoyable lunch. We were also surprised with the value for money each meal represented. The only disappointment was that we wouldn't be able to eat at this restaurant again any time soon as we don't live locally. A big thank you to Vincenzo, for the wonderful food and great service, along with a lovely smile. Keep well Vincenzo and hopefully see you again sooner rather than later. As we mentioned we are holidaying in Puglia shortly and just hope we can enjoy the food as much as we did in Rosso's.

Delicious food, lovely service and great setting.

Food was nice. But the service wad absolutely awful. After a 20 min wait the be served, our drinks came out 10 mins after meal.oh and the waitress one of the rudest people I met. Get rid if you want customers to come back

Went for lunch before friends left to go home. Wished we didn't bother. Got looked at like we were intruding at first. Seated and were offered to move chairs so we could see the harbour, this was a nice gesture . Drinks came out, lime and soda was flat and it was £5 care of a extra mint leaf!! This was changed to a £3 fizzy one with no leaf. Ordered the food, squid was definitely not fresh, my son said it was like chewing a rubber band. I ordered clams and they were also chewey and there was no chili as described on the menu, it was a massive bowl of dry spaghetti. The young lad who was setting tables, laid out all the cutlery on the others ones, but dumped ours in a plastic tray onto the table, so we had to help ourselves. He removed food that was still being eaten and removed empty plates while the kids were still eating. This put pressure on one of them to hurry up. The real issue here through, my friend who has a 260 mile drive home is allergic to fish. In her carbonara, she found a small part of a prawn claw/pincer in her meal. The waitress took it away and asked the chef, surprisingly came back saying it wasn't fish and it was a herb. Not sure what pink herbs you can get that are hard. I asked for it back, as she may need to take it to hospital and it had conveniently been thrown out. No apologies for the issues and didn't ask if there were any allergies. The additional service charge was a joke and asked to be removed.

Disappointed unfortunately. This was our second visit. It was lovely first time, (maybe under a different owner?) but this time not really. We were served our starters and main course at the same time. This did not work well, so my pasta was overcooked after being kept warm for me until I finished my starter. Smoothy was nice though. I will not return probably. Sorry.

The food was very good. Last year I went to Milan and the food in this wonderful restaurant reminded me of that picturesque vacation and the food cooked by the chefs of that city. I live 23 miles from the "Rosso's Italiano" restaurant, but I often make the children's day here because I trust the quality of the products.

We had a very disappointing experience here, the atmosphere was awful,we felt like we wasn't welcome at all, the staff were quite rude and uninterested, we got charged twice for drinks we did not have as the pump was not working, the waitress argued the bill but eventually realized it was her mistake, still didn't get an apology, the food was very nice tho,just the staffs attitude let the place down, of all the restaurants in the area we chose to eat there, would of thought we would of been a bit more welcomed.

My wife and i popped in for lunch we had a very warm welcome from the staff service was brilliant and the food was excellent, we will be going back to sample more of their dishes.

My recent visit to Rosso's was a stark contrast to the exceptional experience I had there five years ago. While the service remained commendable, thanks to our attentive and friendly waitress (whose name escapes me), the food quality fell well short of expectations. My spaghetti with clams was a particular letdown. The dish lacked basic seasoning, rendering it virtually tasteless. The clams were overcooked, with most spilling out of their shells. The "sauce" was a watery concoction with a one-note garlic flavor that pervaded the entire dish. My fiance's chicken suffered from the same lack of vibrancy. Our starters of gambas and calamari were equally underwhelming. They were limp and undercooked, failing to deliver the satisfying sear one expects from these seafood staples. To add insult to injury, wait staff frequently congregated by the entrance, smoking cigarettes that left an unpleasant odor wafting into the restaurant. Sitting near the doorway, we were unfortunately subjected to this throughout the meal. Overall, the experience at Rosso's was deeply disappointing. The food quality simply did not live up to the establishment's former glory, and the inconsiderate smoking habits of the staff detracted further from the ambiance.

Superb food, served in a bright, clean restaurant which has good views over Poole quayside. The meals were all delicious and plates were left clean! Staff are friendly and sufficiently attentive. I will certainly be visiting again with friends and family in the future.

Very disappointed, visited the evening of RNLI open day Waited nearly 15 minutes before taking our drinks and food order Drinks arrived but then waited another 45 for our mains to arrive Pasta was dry and obviously been left under a heat lamp, not nice!! The view was amazing Think the staff could have been tired after a busy day, but only about 4 tables taken when we were there so very disappointed with the service!!

Went there in a Thursday night when it was warm enough to enjoy a walk down the quay. We were welcomed warmly and invited to take a seat be the window so we could enjoy the view of the quay. The waitress was very attentive and relaxed. Was able to joke with her. The ambiance was great. The smell of Italian food, nice background music and warm with a great view. We had 3 courses, a sharing platter for starters. A seafood pasta for main and a Creme Brûlée for dessert. Finished with a coffee. The food was amazing. It came out quick enough and we were not rushed. Even after the meal and we paid the bill, I didn’t want to leave. It’s a great restaurant and if you are thinking of trying it, you should. If you are not thinking about it, you should.

Was looking for some fine dining in the Poole area with a sea view and come across this gem! Incredible Italian dining with a wonderful hostess who was extremely cheerful and positive, made our experience a lot better 😁 Great service and the food was incredible. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for dinner with a view in the area.

Didn't get to eat, had a table booked, was kept waiting at the door, ignore for several minutes, it appears wiping up glasses & playing on the till is more important than customers. When we were finally greeted & we expressed how unimpressed we were the response was vacant with not even an apology.... just a scowl, & left waiting again while the lady cleaned a table by the open door! Disgraceful behaviour, we consequently left, & went to another restaurant.

The food was good and timing of the food was also good, but the service lets them down, steak I had to use butter knife to eat and wasn’t given salt or pepper etc. when busy of course you understand if things go wrong. But taking an order and not bringing it, is not the best thing that happens I asked for another pint 2x and both times said won’t be long and didn’t arrive so I just asked for the bill as I waited 20mins for a pint not to arrive.

My partner decided he fancied pizza overlooking the quay whilst on a mini break in the area. After a google search we found Rosso's and what a find! The garlic bread and pizza was ones of the best we've had, in and outside of Italy itself. Attentive, friendly service and incredible value for money, all in fantastic setting. If you are after Italian food, this is the place for you!

I’ve popped in for a quick bite after a long journey from London. The staff were so friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The food was super delicious too. The view from the restaurant truly magnificent. The atmosphere in the restaurant was so relaxing. I would truly recommend to visit if you are there to visit Poole or just for a weekend escape away from the busy city. Thank you again and will definitely come back soon 🙂

A lovely Italian restaurant the service was very warm and welcoming. The variety of food on the menu was great and was hard to decide what to go for ! The lasagne was very flavourful and a good portion, I would have expected some veg or salad offered with it for the price but it wasn’t so had to order as an extra side. The fillet steak was great and a good portion of chips and salad came with it. Very tempting desserts we had the crème brûlée which was amazing!! But unfortunately the cheesecake wasn’t nice at all it had the texture and taste of scrambled egg wasn’t creamy or a little sweet at all which was disappointing as it looked fab! We will be definitely returning especially warmer weather as want to sit and enjoy the view!

Went here for my best friends birthday and it was amazing! Lovely quay side view wonderful friendly staff with gorgeous food and very tasty cocktails!!! We had Will serving us for the evening and he was brilliant with my toddler and made the experience so much better and more enjoyable for everyone! If ever in Poole we will definitely be visiting again!!!

Found this nice place on the second floor at the quay, friendly staff, lovely view, proper italian pizza. They prepared for me pizza exactly the way i asked. Many thanks to the waiter, will definitely visit again Rossos Italian!

Rosso’s is an elegant Italian restaurant located on a first floor in a little complex on the quayside in pool. Venue is light and spacious. Service is good. Food is good though slightly more expensive. The meatballs are good. The calamari - could be better, quite thin and standard. Pizzas are really good and partner had the risotto which was lovely. Good wine but expensive like everywhere these days. Why do all restaurants mark up their drinks so much 🤷🏻‍♂️Overall a pleasant experience and good food. This place must get very busy in the summer as Poole is quite seasonal. Recommended.

This is my 2nd time going to this restaurant. And the service and the food is amazing. You have a lovely view next to the balcony the food is so delicious and the whole atmosphere was great. I do recommend if you like traditional Italian food. I do recommend the seafood and the cheesecake. Thank you Rosso for my lovely experience.

We had a lovely evening on Friday with good food and great service from Leo, who was very attentive and knowledgeable. We sat outside with a good view of the quay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Will not come again, there are so many seats were empty but they told us fully booked,she didn't even check, may be she try to discriminate us, they way she deny us that was very rude and I saw many people watched us when she deny to give us seat,,, that was so embarrassing for me, was the 1st and last time...

Authentic Italian taste, service grade 10 just like in Italy, I admit that in England I have not really met an Italian restaurant get beget but I had a pleasant surprise when I tasted it, we will definitely come back here to eat!

Food was amazing great for allergies and the lady was very helpful we came back a second time during our holiday as we felt comfortable bringing the children.

The restaurant itself could be great but I wouldn't know because despite claiming its accessible its up rather a lot of steps. And sadly I am not a dalek and have not yet learnt how to make my wheelchair fly...

The weather was wild today so wanted to watch the waves and this was the perfect place. Amazing views of Brownsea and the quay. Excellent attentive service. Tasty burgers. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Big balcony with lots of tables. Really good dessert menu and homemade cakes. They service charge but not sure if it goes straight to the staff. Hope so.

A second visit in just over a week as our first meal was so incredible! Today did not disappoint at all. Mada makes the meal an excellent experience with her friendly service. Well worth a visit and now our favourite spot…Thanks

We were a family of 18 with a 2yr old, booked in on a mid May Saturday evening. The staff were very attentive, food was very good, my Auntie was made to feel comfortable and not a hindrance with access for wheelchair. We completed a pre-order 7 days in advance and approx 15 mins after arriving, the girls were out from kitchen, calling out a name and placing meal in front of that person. We had a great time with Mada and her team. Mada is a naturally happy person and lights up this restaurant. The food was good and well presented. Prices are very reasonable. If anything they are possibly a tad underpriced. It looks nothing like that terrible picture of the exterior.

Visited Rosso’s for a special birthday today, I don’t often left a review but I have to review this restaurant. I cannot praise Rosso's enough! I booked a table for 15 people for a 30th and 13th birthday party. At every stage of the booking they were so friendly, helpful, even to the point of getting birthday balloons for me as we are not from the area. On top of all that, the food was outstanding, so fresh, cooked to order and enormous portions, amazing service. I cannot praise it enough. We had both adults and kids and even the following day everyone was talking about how great the young lady was there and how fantastic the food was - 2 people had the FILET MIGNON and said it was the best they have ever had. Please go to this restaurant, they deserve to be a great success!

Place was empty got seated quick but service was slow was cold in there and food was worse italian I have had better of going into bournemouth at prezzo or ask italian 5* these places!!! Thus place shocking!!!!!

I booked the delivery at 15 for 16h10, I got my order at 16h45, almost 2 hours late.

Went with family of 6 members. Very good for and clean restaurant. Nike atmosphere. Will recommend and definitely come back

Really polite staff. They’ll make every effort to customise pasta to your liking. You can substitute penne for spaghetti (or vice versa), meat for veggies and the like.

2nd Christmas lunch at this restaurant! Cannot recommend it enough! Good food and great service from a delightful young lady! Thankyou for being open Christmas day!

Fabulous food. The Bruschetta was huge, enough for 2. Olive oil and balsamic on the table was very tasty addition. My risotto had perfectly cooked asparagus and lots of chicken. The spag bol was also very tasty, both were very good portions. Would thoroughly recommend

Garlic pizza bread was burnt to a cinder

Hidden away by scaffolding, but a real gem! Staff were brilliant, and the food was unbelievably fresh and so good. Certainly will be back again.

The food was excellent, but the drinks options were a little lacking. There were few non-alcohol options on the menu and no sugar free options listed other than water or tea. I had a pot of black tea, which was a small pot and had 2 teabags in so even though I removed the bags as soon as it arrived the tea was much too strong. One bag would be plenty for that size of pot, or even better have the teabag separate and a place to put the used teabag so the customer can choose how strong to brew and not have to balance used teabags on the saucer with the cup. My main issue however was the ladies toilet - it was clean and had the hand rails for disabled people like myself, but the emergency alarm cord was cut off high up. The red alarm cords in toilets MUST hang freely all the way to the floor at all times. They must never be tied up, cut, or tucked away. If I had an incident and could not get up from the floor, I would have no way to signal for help. In worst cases people could die if they're unable to call for help. If there are issues with the cord being pulled by mistake or as a nuisance, ensure the reset button for the alarm is clear to see and easy to use for customers and for staff. The solution must never be to have the cord out of reach. I do not know if the men's toilet is accessible or has the cord in reach as nobody in our group used it.

The carbonara was very good, served warm! None of my friends complained about their food, and the size was worth the price. The creme brulee was divine and so was the intriguingly served tiramisu in a martini glass.

The food was delicious and good quality, delivered within 30 minutes, and nicely prepared. Pretty good value for money too. Everything was perfect other than the pizza being slightly burnt at the crust, but overall it was a really good experience! Thank you!

Service was good at first, got seated and ordered drinks. Drinks didn’t even come with ice in our glasses. So was slightly disappointed as it was a really hot day. Ordered food and it came in good time, our started came out first as requested then the mains as requested. Food tasted good however it wasn’t as traditional and authentic as I’d wished (mushrooms in carbonara) however it still tasted good and wasn’t bad for a UK Italian restaurant. Once we’d finished our meals we waiting for them to come and get our plates. I had put a tissue on mine to try and make it more obvious but still we sat for atleast 30 minutes trying to get the attention of a server. Eventually I moved the plates to the end of the table and someone collected them. They asked if I would like a dessert menu to which I replied with yes. I then waited atleast another 30 minutes and was then given the bill instead of a dessert menu. The restaurant wasn’t busy and servers were only taking empty bottles and plates back to the kitchen and bar. Bottom line - poor service, average Italian food, reasonably priced.

Stopped here for lunch after a harbour tour. Nice atmosphere and good food - gluten free pizza was one of best I've had. Presentation of all meals were well done and price was very reasonable. The views were also lovely as we ate.

Waiting staff were polite & friendly. Service was quick starters were brought to table within 10 minutes & mains were brought over only after we finished starters. The food was excellent portion size was on large size I had bruscheta to start consisting of 5 pieces of bread mains were marinated chicken when it arrived was 2 breasts.. & lots of roasted vegetables highly recommend this place
