My wife and I stopped here for a light lunch after visiting the Chapel, and enjoyed the experience greatly. We sat indoors but had a fabulous country view out over the patio. We opted for soup (lentil) and it was delicious, an ideal light lunch at a reasonable price.

Great little coffee place inside the visitors center at Rosslyn Chapel. Really good coffee but the assortment of food is even better. Glutenfree & vegan options to choose from, everything looks amazing and is served with a smile from the guys behind the counter. Thanks for the coffee, great glutenfree almond cake and the chat lads. We had thirty minutes to wait for our entrance into the Chapel, not long had a breakfast but can always drink a coffee. Quite busy, most seats were take but you could help yourself to a chair stacked in the corner. Outside was an option but the rain prior to arriving made the tables and chairs very wet. The coffee was delicious as the glass of milk I opted for. Lovely atmosphere, we were all there for one thing. A truly 'nice' visit.

While visiting Rosslyn Chapel on a book research trip with fellow author, Patricia Scanlan, and her lovely sister Mary, we nipped into the coffee shop just before closing. Rather than being rushed or hooshed out the door so they could leave on time, Stuart and his brother, John, welcomed us in. After returning from washing up, I was greeted by the most adorable and tasty latte I’ve ever had…a darling bear face was looking up at me from the large mug! Even behind the masks, I could see the brothers grinning with pride! We chatted, laughed, ate some snacks that had been made in-house, and I even got help from the brothers with fixing my phone. Douglas from the gift-shop even popped over, because the craic was so mighty! We truly ate, drank and made merry! Rosslyn, as always, offers magic and mystique! Now, I can add anticipation of my next trip to the coffee shop to my list! Dr. Mary Helen Hensley Athlone, Ireland

Having crisscrossed Scotland, Rosslyn Chapel was our last stop before going home. The magic of this magnificent Chapel was, as always, awe inspiring, but the icing on the cake was the genuine warm welcome from Stewart and John who could not have been more hospitable. Their bright, airy cafe was spotless -and had such a picturesque view - the coffee was divine, and food, scrumptious! Their scones and jam and clotted cream were yummy and the coffee and tea, the nectar of the Gods. We had a great chat, lots of banter, and Douglas from the gift shop joined in, and we felt so at home with these lovely, entertaining Scots men. A highlight of our trip to Scotland, we look forward to coming back to visit our new friends and enjoy their hospitality.

There is a knack to making good coffee but there is an "art" to making great coffee. At this coffee shop the coffee is made by a master craftsman. We stopped by at the end of a long day just before they were due to close but we were made feel so welcome. Stewart and John work like a well oiled machine and in no time a perfect flat white, scone, jam and clotted cream were presented to me. The coffee and scone were of very high quality but what made this a memorable visit was the helpfulness and genuine interest these lads had in their customers. In this day and age it is so good to see people taking pride in their work and this is one spotless and well run Coffee Shop with a great selection. It would be remiss of me not to mention Douglas who runs the gift shop another kind and helpful man. I

Despite Covid we could eat inside or on the terrace with tables well spaced apart. There is a great selection of paninis, cakes and homemade soup. When I went the place was more or less empty but the black pudding, haggis and emmental panini was excellent as was the coffee. The toilets were clean with plenty of cubicles. The shop had a great selection of goodies and I bought some early Christmas gifts and was particularly taken with William the Chapel Cat books. There was a good variety of items including glass, china and jewellery, eats, posh toiletries and books.

We visited the Chapel and decided to sit for a short while and enjoy the view on Rosslin Park. The view was amazing (but be aware of possible meeting with wasps, one was very interested in our cakes), fresh air and a nice little rest. The cafe offers mostly cake, coffee drinks and tea. The food was fine but as I wrote in the title, it was more a snack than a real meal. You pay to the cashier and take the food you chose with the drinks. I recommend to sit outside and enjoy nature, although you might get too close to it at the form of a wasp "^_^. If you want a bigger meal nearby, I would recommend to go to the Village next to the Chapel or if you don't mind a ride of about 30-40 minutes, then you can reach Edinburgh.

We find most cafes in musuems and galleries dependable and this is no exception although unusualy you must pay £9 entry to the chapel to access both the café and toilets so perhaps being on the small side is not a problem .There are floor to ceiling windows and outside seating giving airy ambience only marred by the feeling your sitting in a shop as the chapel shop encroaches on the sitting area.Food is well chosen with the usual offering if priced on the high side. The pot of tea at £2.30 is a tea bag in a cup! will not suite all.

Disappointed with the selection of cakes so we both had a spicy lentil soup each (with mini Hovis bread / butter) and a coffee. Came to just over £12. Soup was tasty, bread nothing special and coffee very bitter. Outside seating too. Open plan with a small but interesting gift shop, some hands-on activities for children and interactive information boards, which I loved. Very useful ahead of the visit to the chapel. A lovely space with indoor and outdoor tables. We were hungry, after visiting the chapel and were looking forward to something tasty and freshly made, as one would expect from such a prime tourist attraction, showcasing what is great about Scottish food. The plastic wrapped sandwiches and advertised Hovis bread did disappoint! Regardless of placing the word gourmet on the menu, there was absolutely nothing gourmet about this cafe, just another sad cafe with extortionate prices. We have ordered the soup and sandwich and soup and Hovis plus drinks, all that for £20! The soup was tasty enough but it did not save the day! The staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. But what a missed opportunity!
