Rosie's Restaurant and Takeaway in Liverpool

We came in for a take away and we ended up getting the goats curry with rice and fried fish with jollof rice and a portion of plantain. The food was lovely and the service was great We will come again and we were given some nice apple ciders to try for free 😀. The only small gripe was the portions were a bit small for the curried goat I thought for the price, but everything else was great 👍

It was a very nice experience at Rosie's Resturant And Take-Away, Firstly the environment was conducive, secondly the staff members most expecially the receptionist was excellent 👏 👌, thirdly which was the best part of it was the food, it was exceptionally and, amazingly good. Indeed it was an amazing experience.

Absolutely disgusting food Curry goat was like water

Ordered takeout. Goat and rice was brilliant. Plantain fry tasted like fish, pls don’t fry plantain in oil used to fry fish and jellof rice and chicken was good.

The moi moi is a no no for me. Not even half an egg in a moimoi that cost that much.

Takeout The pap was sour and very thin The jollof rice was undercooked without flavour The ribs were almost entirely fat (now I'm comfortable with fat, I grew up the grandaughter of an African sheep farmer), almost zero muscle. The egusi wasn't to my taste (that was more a preference thing - the fish was too strong and the soup too thin.) the plantain and chicken weren't brilliant, but adequate. The yam/fufu was good.

Meat pie not tasting like it usually does properly added something new that doesn’t make it sweet like before

This is the worst African restaurant I’ve even patronised. They have absolutely no business in restaurants business. Ordered Fish pepper soup, Suya and Nkwobi and I couldn’t believe what was delivered. Spent £45 on this absolutely trash. Cold stale food. Fresh onion was just cut and sprinkled on some pomo and called it Nkwobi. Pepper soup was cold, tasteless

Good food, beef was well cooked and soft, swallow was bigger than expected,good delivery service, worth the pay.

Just arrived, tiny tub of watery tiny pieces of spinach type soup with two tiny pieces of fish in, plantain ok , wrapped it back up and gave it to a hungry neighbour, terrible , never again

The food was the precise opposite of what I ordered. The Ayamashe was horible and watery. The meat was over, friend, and that made it hard.

My food was spilled inside the carriage bag. Would advice a better secure plate be used, atleast to avoid spillage

Different food was delivered , I ordered rice and ayamase but the driver brought jollof rice and fish… the pounded yam and egusi was correct, I also ordered meat pie and juice which never came… the restaurant said the driver might have mixed up the food that the jollof rice was not from them, they said they didn’t have jollof rice as at then and my meat pie and juicy e was all there packed together.. so he probably gave someone else my food….

Tasteless and I found a piece of nylon dirt in the pepper soup. Egusi was super watery and below standard. Please kindly let us have value for our money. This is not trying to destroy a small business, but if you do better today, your small business would become big.

The Ayamase does not come with plantain but the picture put in the description seems to have plantain. I was therefore surprised when I received my order without plantain.

The food is always excellent from here. I'm no expert in African food, but I've tried several places in Liverpool and to me Rosie's does the most delicious Jellof rice. I've recently discovered the pepper stew too, which is equally good - so spicy and warming! An item got left off my last order but a quick phone call to the restaurant sorted that out no problem, and the replacement item was sent out with my next order as promised. 5* service all the way!

The suya Dey sell isn’t actually suya but fried beef instead. This isn’t the real item

5 other groups of came in after us. They all sat down. Got food and left. We ordered breakfast. It was our first and last time going to this place. Everything is small. Everyone is yelling because it's super loud. Eggs came out gross. Didn't get Everything we ordered. I gave it a shot because someone said they are good. They are not good. Literally 5groups (10) people got food after we ordered. Horrible service. Try harder.

I have just started ordering from this place and so far had a good experience. Today my food arrived piping hot like as if it just came out of the pot and tasted amazing. Will definitely carry on ordering from here.

I Told the lady serving that the Fish pepper soup was tasteless and she reply rudely saying she didn't cook the food so she don't know if it taste good or not. My husband vegetables soup was like eating some dried leaves suck in some water soup and the attendant was very serious and moldy. She don't have good customer approach. Even the way she talks to the delivery Driver was something I have not seen before. She need to learn a lot to handle such business.

The portions are very small, you have to put more food, the two tapers came with less than half, it seems little to me for what the food costs.

Amazing jollof with chicken well sauced

I was looking forward to trying their suya advertised on the website, but what I got instead was old, frozen, dried unseasoned meat cut into bite-size slices and suya pepper poured over it. Absolutely horrifying!!! Sad because she seems a lovely lady but after driving 13 miles for this NEVER AGAIN!

I paid £14 and it wasn’t even enough food for 1 person! Overpriced for such a small amount and it was also room temperature! Very disappointing I will not be ordering from here again! Daylight robbery

Absolutely no meat in the chicken

My food didn't get delivered. And the restaurants not picking up my phone calls. But my food says delivered on the app.

Since a good friend of mine introduced me to this place, I cant stop ordering. The Beef Egusi Stew is on-point. I recommend it highly, the restaurant is also pleasant and I have sat in their on a number of occasions now. See you again really soon ;-)

I used to love the Jollof but it doesn’t taste the same anymore and everything is really overpriced.

I ordered Moinmoi, ayamase stew, white rice and lamb ribs for a complete balanced diet and trying to patronise naija restaurant in Liverpool. Unfortunately, It was a disaster as within 6 mins of placing the order. I contacted the restaurant to request some cutlery be added for my use. Only to be informed there's no Ayamase. (didn't state on the ordering page that it was unavailable), I had to then change my order to red stew. Following this. After another 5 mins, I got a call (was thinking it was to say delivery driver had arrived) but it was to tell me there's no Moinmoi. (Again this was not listed as unavailable on the ordering page). I was then compelled to switch from Moinmoi (bean cake) to coke which I rejected and later agreed to switch to fried plantains (a loss of 50p on the original order placed - no refund was offered). When the food finally arrived. It was very dissapointing. The stew was very oily and the fried plantains was not worth the moinmoi £5 value it replaced. I understand some of the food listings might not be available on the day. But it's important to grey out unavailable food types so we don't order and later receive dissapointing news. Its only courteous and professional to do so. I won't place future orders based on the order/food page. My wife opted for Chinese and they delivered as ordered and on time. See Naija restaurant falling our hand here. Wish other customers have a better experience. Would suggest calling them before you order moinmoi or ayamase so you don't end up dissapointed like I was.

I ordered Aseyema and rice with Peppersoup, for the first time, the food came early, the Aseyema sauce was hot, good for the winter, very little quantity of meat in it for the price, I didn’t really enjoy the pepper soup, not peppery and I didn’t taste the scent leaf. Overall food is okay would again.

Everything tasted so good. From the Jollof Rice to the Pounded yam. The owner even rang to ask how we want our plantain. Very lovely. Definitely ordering again!!!

I am loving this restaurant, i honest can't get enough. The African food is so tasted and filling, its was worth every penny. An to top it all off the customer service was outstanding and friendly. The food was delivery quick and hot.

Food arrived lukewarm yet early. The ogbono tasted soapy which signifies that the ogbono was old. Okra soup was delicious, but only 2 small pieces of meat is rather stingy for the price! The garri & pounded yam were fresh and piping hot as was the plantain. A mixed bag of a meal really!

Abit of upgrade and customer service

Iam sorry but your restaurant is very very irresponsible when it comes to picking up calls. What is the point calling a restaurant having a phone number but would not pickup calls.JEEZ

Too exspencive and very small portions,wouldnt go again...

I ordered suya and plantain and pounded yam and egusi over the phone. Went to collect and decided I didn’t want the suya anymore but I was forced to buy it because according to the opener it’s not normal to give food back in restaurants and given a bunch of excuses as to why I just had to buy it. Portion was disgustingly small - like a small chippy box for £7 suya, there was no tomatoes to garnish just onions so I definitely regretted it. Pounded yam was rock hard when it came to eating it and very lumpy. Had to put it back on the stove myself. The egusi was very small with two pieces of small fish. Customer service, poor. Quality, poor. Quantity, poor.

Nice place to have tasty Nigerian meals with family. The service is great and the price is reasonable. I strongly recommend this place. Enjoy.
