Rosie's Coffee House & Kitchen in Stockport

Had an excellent Full English Breakfast at this cafe yesterday. Lovely wholemeal toast, good quality ingredients (and plenty of them) and no problem accomodating some minor personal preferences. Black pudding provided as a free extra. Not overly greasy either, so I didn't regret it later in the day, unlike some fry-ups I've had. Friendly helpful staff, quick service and a relaxed atmosphere. I've had good food and service here before as well, and I'll certainly be visiting again. Recommended.

Prices very steep, cake £6 and plain jacket potato £8. Staff seemed a bit away with the fairies and kept chatting and making mistakes even though there were 4 of them for a nearly empty cafe

Order the Salt and Pepper Chicken and Halloumi dish - you won’t regret it!

Lovely cafe and staff are so pleasant and friendly. Food was fast even when they were busy. Bustling cafe with lovely atmosphere and quiet background music.

Decided to try here as I usually go to another across the square, on entering the doors were filthy, we sat down, looked at the menu and WOW ITS EXPENSIVE. The place was cleanish inside. Staff were missing and looking at other peoples food it looked nice, I ordered the eggs Benedict my daughter ordered the bacon muffin/butty. Honestly for the price my expectation were high, it was average actually disappointing when you pay and premium price you expect premium service and food, you’ve to order at the til and pay before you eat which is fine but it’s just not worth the money, overpriced and bang average, nothing unique about this place!

The place itself and the staff were all absolutely lovely. Just a shame about the food. We ordered 2 of the cooked breakfasts, they both came within 5 minutes, portion sizes were great except everything was clearly reheated or left sitting on stoves/heat waiting to be ordered, nothing was fresh, which would be fine if the prices were cheaper & reflected this type of service. The poached eggs were completely hard, everything was watery/had puddles around it. Not for us unfortunately, but the staff were all lovely and friendly x

Really great cafe, very friendly staff, brilliant food and amazing cakes or other sweet things for a treat!

Popped in with a work friend for lunch. We had the Greek wrap and the veggie loaded fries. Both plates cleared. Both delicious. We also had a glass of wine and a cocktail. Again both were spot on. This place never disappoints. Such a shame that Paul, the homeless man who used to sit outside, passed away a little while ago. The staff were always so accommodating of his requests for hot water for his hot water bottle and anything else he needed. Just a lovely place to go. Thank you for a fabulous lunch.

Server missed my request for cookie. The coffees we ordered were excellent, when they eventually arrived after a long wait.

Service when we first got there wasn't the best but they were busy so gave them the benefit of the doubt, then lots of things missing off the order that we paid for. Paid for extra shots in the coffee there was none, no fruit shoots with the children's breakfasts and no topping on the milkshakes. May sound like small things but this is basics that should be right. The food was nice, shame about the rest.

A first class breakfast with first class service. Comes with proper toast, not ready sliced bread. I've been quite a few times in recent years and will continue to do so. Excellent all round.

Just tried my first English breakfast and it was amazing, the staff were also extremely polite, welcoming and helpful. I will defiantly be coming back.

Having stopped in town for fist time. We found this little place. Looked ok so gave it a try. 15 minutes pass we get our breakfast tea. 45 minute pass no breakfast. Almost an hour we get told it’s on way. 1.19 later we eat a medium breakfast. Nice sausage but that’s it. A free coffee or tea given next time. Not much use as we came from 189 miles away. If you hit and your foods late. Ask. If still late. Walk out. Disappointed ☹️

I asked for a skinny latte, they only had semi skimmed, I sat down waited for it, it was terrible, tasted of nothing, so I left half of it, the guy asked if I'd finished it, I said yes, it was awful & he said I don't blame you. I won't be returning. Waste of money.

Would like to thank all the staff at Rosie's today for putting up birthday banners for my granddaughters 16 birthday breakfast X we are regularls here . They go out of there way to help in anyway X food beautiful x

Great service , but food really lets this place down .. chef can’t make a poached egg , And kids nuggets are actually Southern fried chicken strips …. Not chicken nuggets had a nightmere would not return :(

We were on a visit to Stockport and stopped off here for a coffee and breakfast. The format is the same as in Ashton u Lyne, but this one is seemed a little better. I had a little bit of a challenging time when ordering the food and as they do a 5 piece breakfast and I only wanted a 4 piece, but we got there in the end. The staff and service was friendly, and they brought the drinks and food over when it was prepared. The coffee was fine, and the breakfast was certainly better than expected, but the poached egg was a little hard, the bacon had a slightly old fat taste, but the sausage was very good. Would I go back there, yes I would if the same service and food quality could be replicated. I have scored here a 4 for the food and staff quality compared to other greasy spoons, its a little grubby, but the staff and food made up for it - keep it up.

Rosie's has amazing toasted tea cakes, full of sultans and cherries, and the coffee is good too.

Coffee is nice, but service is obscenely slow, particularly when it comes to cakes. Takes forever for a slice to retrieved from the cupboard, and also given the wrong cake.

Such excellent and good value food served in cosy and atmospheric surroundings in the heart of Stockport. Very attentive and friendly service from a lovely team - thank you I look forward to returning!

Appalling service Waited from 11.31 am to 11.53 am On Sunday for some egg and bacon on toast In the end when I saw muilple full English breakfasts coming out to customers that had come in after me I asked very politely would my breakfast be long Only to be told I would still have to wait awhile This is the second time I have been into this cafe and have been left waiting for a breakfast I definitely won't ever be going in again

First time here today. Had seen good reviews online about Rosie's. Had the large breakfast was nice.. the staff where very friendly. Was quite when I was in but I got there just after they opened. Will be going there again soon.

Be aware that they illegally charge extra for using a credit card. Once bitten….There was no warning visible about this. I won’t be frequenting them again. Waitresses were really Nice though.

Visited on a Saturday at lunchtime in Stockport! So it was extremely busy. While waiting for a table two older ladies who came in after us beat us to one so we had to wait for another which luckily was not long. Feedback on that is to have a dedicated host to assist customers with tables so as not to disappoint. The atmosphere was very noisy because lunchtime but what I really liked is seeing lots of young families being catered for. It really added to the atmosphere of Rosie’s as being a friendly place to eat and socialise. I ordered the vegetarian breakfast and my husband had a chicken burger. He said it was perhaps the nicest burger he’s had dining out. He wasn’t sure about the hash brown on it at first but he said the combination of flavours was really tasty. My vegetarian breakfast was exactly what he said. Perhaps the best breakfast I’ve had dining out! You get absolutely loads and a big doorstep of toast! Yummy! My favourite items were the veggie sausages, halloumi to die for and fried egg. Cooked to perfection👌 just how I like it! It was so filling I couldn’t finish it for trying. Staff were really great. Nice and friendly with an honest and helpful manner. Next time I will come for a cake n coffee as the cakes look too good to be true!

Just been here for a large breakfast and it was absolutely delicious just pure perfection in making this premium breakfast. The coffee white americano was also top notch overall for £12.98 definitely worth it and I will be coming back on a regular basis.

We like to try different cafes every month for breakfast and weren't disappointed. Ordered full English and Eggs Benedict both of which were served quickly and were delicious. We've paid less for breakfast but also paid more I other places and this is definitely vfm.

Called in for lunch whilst out shopping in Stockport. Food was lovely as always and the server was a credit to the cafe, lovely lady.

We ordered English breakfast and tea. Delicious food, maybe a bit pricey, but the place is cute and gives nice vibes to go and enjoy a slice of cake or anything else with friends or family. The bathroom is always clean. Service is quick enough, and staff could improve in kindness, but overall, I recommend this place as a gem in Stockport centre! Don't forget to take a pic with the Wonderwall floral mural!!

A busy cafe with a lively atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hot drinks were nice. However, the scone I had was awful, dry and tasted like it had been microwaved. Wouldn't put me off trying something else. I have included a copy of the receipt so that you can see the prices.

Popped in for breakfast as my tyre needed to be changed. The staff were lovely and polite, it was very busy and they served everyone with smiles and quickly. Food was good as well wish I had room for the cakes they looked amazing!! Shout out to the girl with black and white braids (think she’s the manager) she was amazing

My friend and I spent a lovely afternoon at Rosie's, we had a delicious lunch, sandwiches, jacket spud, tea, wine, coffee and oh, those cakes...more, please! Great service, clean café, very reasonable prices, in a pleasant setting. We'll definitely be back.

Eaten here loads of times in the past. Food is nice but slightly overpriced. However, whilst eating a homeless man who is sat outside opposite this establishment all of the time came in with his hot water bottle and gave it the staff behind the counter. From their response they knew exactly what to do as they must have done it previously. They continued to fill his water bottle from the Boiling Water Dispenser that hot drinks are made from with the nozzle going inside the bottle and touching the outer edges. In the meantime, the homeless man took a large amount of napkins but in doing so touched a quantity of napkins with his dirty hands that he didn't take. The staff gave the man his hot water bottle back and he left the premises. Please don't get me wrong, I have nothing against this man whatsoever and have ever empathy towards him but just before he came in to this cafe he went behind a loading bay to relief himself, obviously then handing his bottle to staff who weren't wearing gloves or washed their hands before handling the next customers cup, plate, cutlery with the potential of spreading all sorts of gems. Hygiene should be an absolute number one priority within the food industry.

This restaurant is a disgrace, awful efficiency, near an hour to make merely a small breakfast, people come later than us got their order even sooner, lazy worker would rather chat than to serve, doesn’t even care when asked politely, the workers in this restaurant are exactly the reason this country is going downhill.

Epic cakes and a very tasty rarebit

Rosie’s is our go to lunch and coffee spot when we’re in Stockport. Staff are friendly, food is fresh and delicious.

Stopped here for refreshments, we sat outside, the only table vacant had a spray of cleaner and cloth left on it, I ordered tea it was OK hubby had a latte but as he got to the end of it there was a lot of small grains of the coffee beans, obviously not been ground properly

Decent breakfast for our first visit here. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Met friends for lunch. First time for myself, not for my friends. I thought there was a good selection on the menu with reasonable prices. My Son enjoyed his vanilla milkshake and toasted teacake. I opted for the baked potato with cheese and coleslaw it came with a side salad. It was huge and delicious! I would return.

Haven’t been back to Stockport in a while and this was the first cafe that caught my eye - but what a lovely place! The staff were incredibly lovely and my friend hugely enjoyed her waffle and banana - very generous drink sizes too. Will definitely have to get one of their cakes next time because they looked absolutely gorgeous. Thanks to the staff for being so kind and patient :)

We called in at Rosies while waiting for the O2 shop to contact us. Never been to Rosies before an was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a Cappuccino which was brought to our table by a young waitress who was very helpful when asked abut GF options. The Cappuccino was literally the best I have had in a coffee shop. Not to bitter as is often the case. It was lovely and creamy and smooth, perfick. My wife had a black Americano which was good as well. A great place to pass half an hour if you are shopping.

A very good value for money coffee shop in the centre of Stockport. Paid reasonable prices for very high quality coffee and cake. Will return.

It had been a few years since I had taken a visit in to rosies cafe the food is excellent. The staff are veryyyyyyyyyyy friendly and welcoming and they also recommend their favourite food and drinks too which is amazing. The restaurant is very clean and welcoming which is also an extra bonus. There is seating area outside for you to wine and dine if it is a warm day which is even better. The service is excellent. Will definitely be going back there again. Highly recommended place to visit, if you are meeting a friend, family members or even if it a date day with your partner 😊

Okay! A bit loud. Not a place to relax over a hot drink. Huge portions of sugar-based products for those who want it.

Went to meet a few friends who unfortunately due to a health condition, couldn’t be there. Had a lovely Mocha. Definitely recommend this place.

I've been coming here for a few years for coffee and cake. Their coffee is always really good (hot latte or iced latte) and their cakes are amazing. Pricey but also very large portions of perfectly cooked cake. They also do more treats now (like brownies/cookies etc) and their jammy dodger blondie is one of the nicest things I've ever eaten! Will continue coming here when I'm in town for a long time!
