The Rosehip Bakery and Cafe is a local spot the whole community loves and frequents. Some of the best cakes, breads and treat around. Their food is always fantastic and really fresh, they normally serve a couple of different homemade soups everyday, stew, sandwiches, wraps, breakfast baps ect.

Our go to place for lunch when in Banbridge

Here for lunch. If you are looking for an egg of any sort, forget it. Don't do them here. Mayhem around the tills as well..very disappointed. Better options in the town..

3 members of staff behind counter as we wait to get a sandwich made, none approached even though they did acknowledge we were there. Left empty handed.

Well worth a visit but the only thing I found wrong was the staff need to slow down and pay attention to the customers

Please give this place a visit, best bakery ever ,so much to choose from and everything I have bought so far has not been wasted . To top it off cafe is great also. They also take birthday cake orders .

This spot is great for a lunchtime meal, with tea following, and a few pastries/buns to take home afterwards. The service is friendly and the servers are cheerful and enthused.

Great breakfast with quality ingredients!

This was a busy lunchtime service and we only just managed to get a table without queuing for one. We were given just the right amount of time to decide our order and we all choose sandwiches either plain or toasted. The member of our party who had the salad sandwich declared it to be one of the best that she had every tasted. The other two of us had tuna sandwiches, one toasted and one plain. All the sandwiches were accompanied by a small portion of crisps but no salad. All three sandwiches were generously filled and, looking around at what other diners were eating, that seems to be the standard in this establishment. So, really good value for money. As an aside, there was a selection of artwork on the walls of the café some of which had price tags attached. Irrespective of whether or not one wished to purchase, it made a very interesting change from the bare walls of many places. This café is well worth a visit and as a bonus one can purchase bread and cakes on the way out to take home.

First time visiting the rosehip for a breakfast team meeting with Firehow. Excellent food and the friendliest staff. Picked up a few goodies from the bakery to take home which again were excellent. Wide variety of choice, everything looked so good I'm going to have to go back sometime 😁

Called in Thurs 27/9/22 in afternoon. Very pleasant young girl at till that served us, has been there a long time but do not know her name. 2 sandwiches freshly made with very fresh bread and fillings. 2 perfectly made 1 shot americanos and some tasty tray bakes. Reasonably priced just over £15. Regularly visit Rosehip and never disappointed. Really good times for those that like a snack later in afternoon. Not sure what time they stop serving in cafe, but I think it is 4.30 - 5.00pm, or there abouts. They also have a good little loyalty card for not drinks.

Just had a lovely lunch in the Rosehip Cafe. I would highly recommend it. I went with my GF daughter and my ASD son. We all easily got food off the menu, they now have waitress service at the table making it SO much easier. Everything was delicious and not rushed. Service was pleasant and efficient but not intrusive and the owner even stopped by the table to check we were happy. We wished we lived closer as it would be a regular!

We stopped in purely by chance and we are so glad we did. The bakery food to take away was excellent- great sandwiches, ready meals and incredible cakes and cookies! But the rat in was equally impressive! Great value for money, wide range of choices and simply delicious! This is only about 2kms off the Highway, and definitely worth a detour!

The very tasty chicken and grape sandwich is part of a wide variety of take-out options. This is along side sit-in, where the food choices are excellent along with the helpful friendly staff.

Very happy, cappuchino was hot, scones gorgeous and staff very nice.

Stopped for a sandwich while passing through Banbridge. I had a panini and my husband had a sandwich, with a side of chips. The bread was lovely and fresh, plenty of filling and the chips were crispy and dry. Staff are polite and efficient and our food was served very quickly. I would definitely call again, we had a nice experience.

Called in for lunch on Saturday and was really disappointed with the portion size I ordered a large fry and couldn’t believe how small it looked on the plate for the price. It was like a kids meal instead of a “large fry “ Wouldn’t like to see the small one Definitely not worth the money.

Called in at 3pm for food only to be told they aren’t serving food, all you can have is a sandwich. Can buy a sandwich from the garage an probably be cheaper. Poor from a modern cafe.

Called in for breakfast after golf. Had one of the best breakfast fries I've ever had. The quality of ingredients was fantastic and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

90th Birthday cake was not only lovely to look at, but tasted delicious. My mother in law was over the moon. Great service and the most pleasant staff to deal with.

Vegetarian option not actually vegetarian. There cream of vegetable soup is made with chicken stock. If I'd not asked what stock was used I wouldn't have known. Disappointing.

Spacious...Felt Covid Safe...met at door by friendly assistant who explained the system. Coffee was lovely, food was perfect. Def be back!

I had visited Rosehip many times pre-covid, but this was my first breakfast here for a long while. The veggie fry now includes not only the expected egg, sausages, beans, mushrooms and soda bread, but several slices of halloumi! Yes - halloumi for breakfast! Why is this not more widespread? I'd never thought of halloumi as a substitute for bacon, but it makes perfect sense. I'll definitely be back for another veggie fry soon.

We booked a table for 8 in the morning for peak time during lunch 12pm. we arrived at a time when the cafe and counters were packed and our table was still reserved for us. Thank you and all the staff for a wonderful lunch. Quality food and excellent service at an affordable price.

There's so much selection for sitting in and taking away here. I get cakes and bread from here and takeaway sandwiches a couple times a week where I just tell the girls what I want and they make it quite quickly.

Lovely home bakes. Great selection. We went for breakfast and there was a good choice to have. Would recommend the full breakfast and soda bread.

New decor is modern and sleek. Best place to get a sandwich in Northern Ireland. Awesome lunch’s too. The bakery stuff speaks for itself, so so good every time. Nowhere is better in Banbridge!

I live in England and my sister lives in Ireland and I wanted to do something nice to cheer her up as she was having a particularly bad day. So I rang Rosehip and asked if they could put together a box of 4 cream cakes, 2 hot chocolates and marshmallows with a note and deliver them to her door. They willingly and kindly obliged and within less than 40 minutes my sister received a wonderfully unexpected surprise from a lovely young lady..! She was over the moon..! All for £6.50..! My sister was happy and so was I..! Thank you Rosehip..!

Quick lunch on a busy shopping day. Food was excellent (chicken curry) and served promptly. Staff were very helpful and wore masks. The tables were well spaced allowing for good social distancing. Would definitely recommend.

We went in for lunch and to take advantage of the eat out to help out. The dining area is spotless. The lady that served us was so pleasant. My mum and i both had chicken salad which was so fresh and delicious. My daughter had a ham and cheese panini which she enjoyed. Cant wait to visit again. Top marks to the rosehip!!

Was going to a meeting and needed something to eat quick to keep me going. This was a lucky and good choice as I had the cream of chicken soup which was full of flavour and chicken! I finished this off with a victoria sponge which was light and fresh and a cup of tea. Friendly fast service and you can see that this place is well run. Tables were cleared promptly and there are lots of newspapers available for customers to read. I would come back.

Banbridge is blessed with cafes and coffee shops.But if you want hot food you are out of luck as they stop at 3pm,with the exception of chippys or Safari grill.Rosehip is a long narrow cafe,with the serving counter on the right and tables and chairs on left,so it is not possible to have a quiet meal really.You order at counter and the only menu is a black board running along behind the counter. Bit difficult as no time to choose.I had a ham salad sandwich on brown bread.About 6.25 stg. Pay before eat. Wi fi available.There is an extensive range of breads,tray bakes,cakes and deserts as well as take away foods.It is worth a visit.

My Mum ordered a Gluten Free birthday cake for my Gluten Free Daughter’s 10th birthday. The staff taking the order were really professional and asked sensible questions regarding diary and egg allergies (she has mild intolerances to these but can tolerate for a slice of cake once a year).When we went to collect it we found the decoration was superb, she loves unicorns!! And petals flower tail even down to the eyelashes. As for the cake tasting itself it was delicious. Even a neighbour commented that it tasted nicer than their normal (gluten) cake. We were fighting over the crumbs at the end and whilst it was more expensive than a normal cake this is expected for gluten free. I would happily pay this every time as the decoration and taste matched and was way above expectations. I would HIGHLY recommend.On another note their chicken curry is gluten AND dairy free and was the main course for the birthday tea. I only wished we lived closer as we would be very regular. As it is we export to Scotland whenever we can - Yes it is that good!!!!

Recently I had a craving for a good sausage roll and I called into the Rosehip a couple and a dash of brown sauce hit the spot

The only flaw is that they do not have facility to reheat pasty pies without losing the crispness of same which is such a shame. All food is great and home made. Will return happily.
