Barrel and Bean in Banbridge

Went in for 2 wraps and a club sandwich. 50 minutes after ordering the food arrived but only after a chase. Club sandwich had half an egg in one slice. I mean half an egg, not several slices that equated to a half. The table next to us asked for some tray bakes only to be told the room had to be cleared in 13 mins. Given my chicken had been raised from an egg after I ordered, they had no hope of being served and out within 13 mins. Avoid!

I met up with a friend and her daughter here last week for some lunch and a catch up. A first visit for all of us. They serve breakfast up until 12.00pm then lunch from 12.00pm. They also have a separate Bar Snacks menu which you can also order from. I opted for the chicken wings with a side salad which was lovely and beautifully presented which also had a finger bowl for my wings! Great spot to just chill out and have a good gossip over a coffee.

Dropped in for a bite to eat on a Monday morning, since the pandemic finding a cafe open on a Monday is difficult, but this one was busy, clean and quaint, breakfast grill was good value for money, tasty, and plenty, I will be back with the boss for casual evening food too, a wee gem

This is the best place in Dromore for good food, coffee and friendly staff. I would not go anywhere else.

I seen the Barrel and Bean on the internet, so I decided to give it a visit. It is a very good coffee shop. When I went the place was had a good atmosphere, people were talking away and enjoying their food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our order came quick. I got the Christmas Sandwich, which was very nice, and I really enjoying it. If anyone is passing through Dromore, I recommend you try the Barrel and Bean.

We were in Dromore on family business and popped in here for a nibble. What a lucky find! In a nutshell: lovely, well laid out place with a Gift Shop, Mauds Ice Cream and restrooms on the ground floor; restaurant (lift available) on first floor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent; hot, tasty and filling. A very satisfying visit. We'll be back.

Have eaten here many times - from breakfasts (they toast the potato/soda bread if you wish). Lunch excellent. Afternoon tea/coffee with lots of yummy cakes to choose from. And cocktails!!!! If you're lucky to get Claire - she is really enthusiastic - knows her stuff and we had a great night there with a visitor - who was mightily impressed. It's a great spot - reasonable prices and cocktails cheap at certain times - check their fb page. It's a favourite of ours.

This 2 storey food house is a really lovely place for meals throughout the day. The ground floor hosts locally produced gifts, private little eating booths and a fantastic little ice-cream and coffee bar! Upstairs is spacious, modern and pretty and good for families, friends or couples. Breakfast, from giant scones to cooked meals, is excellent! Don’t forget the option to “take home” fresh tray bakes or sausage rolls when you pay!!! Staff make you feel important and welcome which tops off this excellent eating experience.

Was served by a lovely waitress Amy. She was great! Catered to our every need. Way to go, made our night special!

Family Saturday morning breakfast, arrived 9.25 couldn’t take order until officially opened at 9.30, tea and coffee came quick and was finished / cold by the time breakfast arrived at 10.. although slow the food was good , hopefully just a blip will give them another go

For anyone who hasn't been to this gem get yourself down to barrel and bean the food is amazing the cocktails are just beautiful the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome honestly call in 👍

Food was tasty however one of the party got fries in a bucket and the bottom had liquid (water) in it which left the fries soggy. Otherwise the food was good and exactly what we ordered. There was six of us and some of the party got their food a while before the rest which is unacceptable and no staff around to bring us salt etc. The place was busy but the table we had booked had not been properly cleared and cleaned down. Excellant value for money we would give them another try as we had been before in the previous premises and all was good there.

Went to the new Barrel and bean for a few cocktails and some food. Sampled numerous cocktails and all were excellent. The food was delicious. We decided to share a few of the small plates between us and there was plenty to go around. Had a lovely night in really nice surroundings. The service was some of the best service in a hospitality setting, I’ve had for a long time (thank you claire - you should definitely stay out front of house). Will definitely be back to work through page 2 of the cocktail menu. Congratulations on your newest venture!

Amazing staff VERY accommodating! We had a small child with us and they helped keep him occupied with changing the tv channel to a kids programme and giving him stuff to colour with, we also really enjoyed the good and definitely a great place for a latte!!

Wonderful food and service . I had my mother with me ( My mummy has early dementia it is not evident to those who do not know her ) there was mix up with the order we ordered 3 bagels . Mix up totally our fault miss communication with my mummy . The staff and owner where so helpful nothing was a bother sorted out our food even though it was our fault . Food was delicious hot well presented and so tasty . Thank you 🙏 for your understanding and kindness it is difficult for mummy and this mix up could have caused her great anxiety instead the well trained staff made our first meal out after lockdown a real treat . 10 out of 10 highly recommend if your in Dromore call in you won’t be disappointed . WELL DONE YOU DESERVE EVERY ACCOLADE . A credit to the Hospitality industry 👍

Two Ham and cheese toasties, one with tomato...... what we got was two warm bread sandwiches NO TOMATO!!! Such a waste of food as it all went in the bin. Flat white was disgusting, tasted like the milk was off??? I would never do a review but this is the worst food I have ever paid for!

We were really delighted with our evening delivery, came on time, delivered with a smile and a bit of craic. The food was really good, chilli fries were not even faintly greasy and dusted with chili seasoning and sea salt - a surprise and a treat. The chicken deluxe burger is filling, delicious and again well seasoned. With a bramble cocktail the whole bill for two excellent burgers with fries came to £20. I would recommend Barrel and Bean - we've had a super breakfast nap there as well. Reliable, tasty, friendly- what's not to like? :)

This is a great place to eat. There is a varied menu to suit all tastes. The small plates are especially good. We quite often share dishes as there so many really nice choices.

Had a super breakfast with my wife and mother-in-law in Dromore. Food, service and facilities were all of a high standard. Excellent adherence to social distancing and public health guidelines. Highly recommended.

Such a friendly atmosphere with highly polite well dressed staff and a menu of all sorts so hard to choose from. The food succulent and tasty and in a very hygienic environment. Well worth a visit if passing through.

Was here today for an afternoon tea, booked few days prior and added a last minute person with no bother. Messages were responded to in the most friendly way with a query about our dietary requirements. Upon arrival we were seated and offered warm refreshments from the menu, we all opted for hot chocolate which was delicious with cream and marshmallows, two trays were presented to the four of us, bottom tray had an assortment of sandwiches, second tier had scones and cream and top tier was mini desserts. All was delicious, especially the raspberry and white chocolate scone. The two staff members were courteous and professional as well as friendly. I would definitely recommend

Went for Saturday evening dinner with hubby and our 2 boys. Great spot, great vibe, atmosphere, music, food and cocktails. And very reasonably priced. Can’t wait to return to sample the scones, tray bakes and afternoon tea.

I booked afternoon tea for 1pm. We got our tea served to us at 1.07 and after a long wait at 1.26 the food arrived. As tea was cold I requested fresh tea which wasn’t a problem. The sandwiches were nice but not a big selection. At no time were we asked if everything was ok and upon payment I thought I would have been asked them but no!! Not good customer service.

I had soup and sandwich, honestly the freshest sandwich I have had in a long time with a beautiful big bowl of soup. Then followed by pistachio cake which it a must! Most certainly will be back!

A lovely restaurant/wine bar on my doorstep.great coffee and lovely food available all day. Tasty and well priced. Staff are friendly an welcoming and very helpful. A great wee place to meet for a coffee or a drink and a chat.

Saw this place on FB,so I detoured to try it.

Stumbled across this unassuming cafe /bistro/ restaurant by chance . What a find ♥️10 out of 10 , I am just sorry I didn’t get photo before we ate food!! . Waitress was lovely and friendly and was quick to point us in direction of available seat and show menu . I ate New York bagel so tasty will definitely be back . My guest ate chilli wrap everything hot and beautifuly presented . The interior is quirky with urban feel such an establishment would not be out of place in any major city . Such a find in a small town ! Congratulations to the owner for providing excellent food , great service and all for such great value . Already looking forward to calling again when in the area xx

Brilliant night on Thursday, 15 of us in for my mums Hen. Great service and craic as always, from Claire, Jamie and the team and the munchies were great as always. A lot of patience to put up with us hallions! Top class service everytime, cant believe how quickly the cocktails were being made either! And Paul's Denise very happy with Jamie's special hug of pimms

As a family we absolutely love this place. There is so much to choose from and the ingredients are local ,fresh and full of flavour. Both the staff and owner are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Anyone that visits has to try the courgette lime and pistachio cake it’s yummy.

After hearing good reports from friends, we called in for brunch. We were not disappointed, friendly helpful staff with a good choice of freshly prepared food. Not forgetting the excellent coffee - we shall be returning.

Called in for a late snack. Good food and bottled beer, cocktails and a selection of Gina and Cider available. Very pleasant staff. Worth a visit.

This cute little coffee shop has a relaxed and local atmosphere. The staff were eager to give us some pointers on sites to see around Dromore and were very helpful with all of our questions.

Syltopped in for a spot of lunch, was really impressed. £4-5 for sandwich, toastie or panini, shared a toastie and panini with garlic seadoned fries. Pastrami sandwiches best i have ever eaten. Good selection of cakes, tray bakes, gins and wine. Friendly staff. They have got this place just right.

Visited Barrel and Bean for the first time and was really impressed. Garlic Chicken wrap was generous, beautifully garnished and tasted lovely. Had Pistachio cake after which tasted lovely and was so fresh. Lovely atmosphere inside and staff attentive and friendly. Great value too. Trying the afternoon tea on my next visit. Well done Barrel and Bean.

Excellent service provided by staff , they are very welcoming and courteous and anyone I have brought with me has thought so too.Nice ambience with background music and they serve a good selection of teas / coffees , well filled , tasty sandwiches , scones & the lime , pistachio cake is worth travelling for !

This was my third visit to the barrel and bean but the first for my husband. The staff are all lovely and have been very attentive anytime I've been so service wise it's a 5*, the interior is also relaxed and resembles quirky places in a big city. We both loved the smaller plate style dinner, feels a lot more social than having 2 separate meals. We had the mixed meats and cheese, sweet chilli chicken balls, sweet potato fried and nachos, all of which were tasty but I do feel that this place could put on a few extra hot dishes for evening service like goujons, baby ribs etc hot food that would go well with a small plate style dinner. We will definately be back as its good value for money and right on our door step. I just really hope they offer a few more hot food options during dinner, especially to have it as a tapas style portions (as they already are) would just make it 5*

Barrel and bean outstanding and hidden gem in Dromore !!.Had a wonderful tea.I suffer from a nut allergy and was a bit unsure about eating here .But thanks to the knowledge and understanding of the staff my food was made in an area of the kitchen made nut free to prepare my food immediately.The food was delicious and the staff was super. Definitely will be back .The staff have a true understanding of allergies in the food industry and deserve a five ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ rating

We decided to use a voucher given to us by a friend. We had a very pleasant evening in what was a trendy environment. The staff were not particularly attentive but very pleasant young men. Were we were sitting was cold with the wind whistling past us due to the gap under the door! The food was good and very reasonably priced. I would go back but not sit opposite the door. There were 2 large parties in the restaurant which made it noisy.

Had a lovely snack yesterday afternoon with my friend Lynn. Everything lovely very pleasant and helpful staff.

We stopped in Dromore for a quick breakfast and found this gem. The coffee was truly the best cup we’ve had in the two weeks we’ve been here. The food was delicious, well-portioned, and the Fifteens were amazing. Thanks, Jamie, for the wonderful meal and the excellent service.

Having got takeaway coffee from B&B; a few times since it opened, I had been meaning to try the food. Called in for breakfast and I wasn’t disappointed. Food was great, quick and friendly service and excellent coffee as always. A hidden gem tucked up a side street in Dromore, this is one definitely worth checking out.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I went today for afternoon tea for 2 adults and 1 child. The food and service were fantastic but what really made is special was the afternoon tea for the child - chocolate sandwiches, ham and cheese with crackers, Doritos, haribos and rocky roads! Such a thoughtful approach and warm welcome. We will most definitely be back - thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.

Went here last night with friends from Belfast for a change from the usual places in Belfast. I can honestly say the food and atmosphere was far superior than any place we normally go to. There was a chilled atmosphere no one rushing you out and the staff were very attentive. I strongly recommend trying this place.

This newish cafe is a great addition to Dromore. Nice setting, good coffee, tasty food (especially the pistachio lime cake) and very reasonably priced.

A great wee venue, serving good food with friendly staff. The intent is clearly to be as good as it can be and they are definitely getting there, lovely friendly atmosphere and now they have a TV for covering sports events, I know where I'll be for the 6 nations!

My husband and I called in for a quick meal on a Friday night. The service was friendly and efficient. My bbq pulled pork in a bap with coleslaw was absolutely delicious and my husband really enjoyed his festive bap with turkey, ham and stuffing. We shared a side of salted chilli fries which we both loved too. Can also highly recommend the mulled wine-hot and spicy. Overall the meal was great and excellent value. We hope to be back soon!

Acceptable food. Pleasant young staff. Has potential. Couple of tips: Don’t make the (all too common) mistake of having no experienced staff on site, and don’t clean crockery (including teapots) with neat detergent designed for industrial dishwashers - it taints everything!

Been here a few times food delicious and very pleasant and helpful staff. Also have a good gluten free menu.

So wanted to love this place. Staff lovely and owner lovely too. Sadly soup was only warm not hot and only filled half a bowl. Sandwich was average as was coffee. Won't be rushing back.

Was really glad to see a more trendy style cafe bar in Dromore; reminded me of the industrial style bars in Manchester.

Gorgeous!!.. This is a great wee find in Dromore, a bit different, but so lovely to be able to take your time over your coffee, or maybe have some prosecco and food.. The staff are so helpful, but it's the daily sandwich board quotes, that are the real stars!.. This is a great spot

This place had just opened and we so looked forward to visiting and we weren’t disappointed. Nice busy atmosphere and the staff whilst new were excellent. We had coffee and scones (before the lunch menu) and really enjoyed the experience. I ordered a cherry scone and guess what? It was full of cherries, no skimping there! Just what I wanted. Others ordered cake and they weren’t disappointed either. A good portion was delivered and they loved it. They have a tapas evening menu and I’m looking forward to visiting soon for that. So long as they maintain this standard, they will do well.

I really hope this place works out, stylish, warm, cosy and excellent coffee, the staff are not there yet but I'm sure they will get up to speed in the future, give it a go the best in drone for coffee and light meals. Good luck folks.

Perfect new place in Dromore for drinks and nibbles. They have got it spot on , they offer cocktails also , which were amazing ! small plates and meat/platters for sharing were excellent . Coffee and sweet treats available too. The place opens late and prices were very reasonable .

This is a new cafe in Dromore where in the evening you can have some nibbles and drinks. We went down on a Friday night for drinks and a bite to eat. Ordered a cheesemeat board for two and some sweet potato fries along with wine and beer. The food was served but we had to ask for side plates and napkins, definitely something that should be given out. Food was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We also got cocktails later on which were very good. Reasonably priced food and drink in a lovely place, just a few wee things which would make it great! Hopefully because this is a newly opened establishment these will be sorted out soon. We will be back!
