Great place been coming here on and off for years great to be able to have a drink and Thai food or snacks from in the pub. They always try hard here.

Had afternoon tea for baby shower and food was very good every thing home made and fresh service really good and really friendly people highly recommend

Lovely little pub run by lovely people. The events they hold are great and the Thai food shack serves great authentic food.

Me and my young children visited the cafe in the afternoon after going to the park. We sat outside in a lovely seating area undercover and had the most amazing cakes. Delish. It’s great they have a cafe here and also do takeaway hot drinks.

Very friendly pub staff very polite the landlord is very good he is so friendly with is costumers not see a landlord like this since the 70s and 80s keep the good work up Adam definitely will come again 👍

Really nice pub, no food but there is a Thai food outlet on site which they serve to the pub. Very friendly place, no airs and graces. At weekends you can get English breakfasts cooked by the pub staff. Unfortunately we weren't there long enough to try it but the menu looked good and prices were good too.

The breakfast here was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommended. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because of the 2 hour wait for the food. Sadly, this was not communicated with us and with young hungry kids with us, you can imagine how that went. Had we known of the wait, we would have taken the little ones to the park just a cross the field to keep them distracted and entertained. No gesture offered on the bill either which was disappointing. Communication is key here. Be honest with your customers and they can make decisions based on the information given!

Great pub venue. Keep an eye out for events, on a sunny afternoon sitting down relaxing with a cold drink and listening to a group. What more could you want.

Friendly, great beer, super service. Was thinking that all it needed was a cricket pitch to finish off the afternoon sunshine. There, it was hiding just behind the carpark with two teams in full flow. So what's not to like. Cricket beer and afternoon tea from a lovely local.

Came here recently for a wake. Lovely little pub, the staff are really friendly and are a credit to the pub. Added bonus - because it's a nice cosy building it's not far from your table to the bar and the toilet 👍

This pub was my late stepfarther's local i have spent many a day and night here while visiting and allways a very warm welcome we had the wake for him at his local and the food and service were outstanding

Would give 10 stars if i could. Just lovely people. Very accommodating to me and my cycling mates. Food is great and you must try the Thai takeaway, which you can eat there also if needed. Even have proper bile rack! A pub as they should be. Thank you

Visited on a Saturday afternoon for a friends birthday. Really family friendly and very lovely with our 4 yr old who has complex special needs. Lovely staff who were so patient with him, despite it being really busy. Great live music too. Will be definitely be returning.

Great pub they do so much for the village, its a real proper village pub serving good selection of beers and always a friendly face behind the bar. It's like pubs used to be.... Would recommend this place 100%

I visited the Rose & Crown last week to have lunch. They were closed, with a sign saying they would be back to normal hours this week. Returned today to try again, only to find that they were closed once more. Other than to say that they may not be open during advertised hours, I can offer no further opinion. I will not be attempting another visit. Went to The Recruiting Sergeant, a few minutes away, which was excellent.

Roger introduced me to the Rose & Crown, I have passed it by too often. This was time to sit in the shade of the outdoor covered area, enjoy a pint or two & had crispy duck with egg fried rice, served by The Sun Thai takeaway. Such a good idea, born of necessity during lock-down, restrictions were not imposed on take aways.

We went to Rose and crown j Frettenham Jubilee Sunday at 2 o'clock and glad we did what a lovely afternoon and evening we had with a great singer called Julie Dee then a group The Satelites afterwards .Had chessy chips delicious...Really fun time .We also met some old friends of 50yrs ago ..We didn't leave until 10.30 .Good fun... Great land lady .Sam .Will go again soon as she said hoping to have music every Sunday.. ....At last the fun is back after the last 2 yrs .

Let's talk about the fact this place has Joy Thai Food first. Amazing food, great service at the right price. Highly recommend a visit for lunch or dinner. The pub also serves great beer and has special occasions like a beer festival and music festival. This is a hidden gem for food and beer! You won't be disappointed.

Great local pub with plenty of outside seating. It serves drink as you’d expect but also has a cafe menu from 10-4. Their homemade sausage rolls are amazing!! (We had the vegan version) and the coffee is excellent. There is a Thai takeaway restaurant on site in the evenings which we didn’t get to try but it looked very good. Lovely service too.

Hows local pub should be run. Good beer, Friendly staff and hosts, just a pub not a gastro pub. A local pub not just for locals bit has that welcoming atmosphere to all that come in. There is no silence as strangers walk in the pub. You are treated as a friend from the moment you enter through the door.

The Rose and Crown Public House in the village of Frettenham makes every effort to make all visitors welcome and there is always something going on at the pub whether it's a live band, DJ, live football coverage or the landlady's specially prepared and freshly cooked pulled pork rolls that are available every Sunday from about 4pm.
