Loved this place , people in there were great! Tiny little bar with massive personality.

Very busy couple of evenings...Great venue and staff...air conditioning unit not working in main room...heat was extremely oppressive to the point of people leaving venue because of issue.

We held a family birthday party for 20 people of all ages at Roscoes. It was a wonderful experience. At every stage of the preparations Roscoe's staff could not have been more helpful. The room was beautifully decorated, the buffet tea was delicious, we were helped to make full use of the disco lights lights and sound system - and throughout it all the bar and hospitality staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend Roscoes enough - and would particularly like to thank Alice for all her hard work helping us.

Great venue for functions, meetings or parties! Friendly upbeat staff, excellent selection of drinks, good atmosphere. Quite a few stairs to get up to the bar!

Honestly didn't try the food but loved the atmosphere the friendliness of the staff and the ability to book a private room for darts, pool or snooker or book the function room for bigger events. Had a great father's day playing pool and having a few drinks with the family.

Perfect place. Only one place where you can really relax.

Attended a private party in the good sized function room. Great service from friendly staff and reasonably priced drinks, too. Went back again a few nights later with a friend to use the normal bar.

Big place . Not enough bar staff

We booked ahead of time a pool table for four of us. We were welcomed by a lovely chap who signed us in. Only £3 for a day pass and 50p per play! Amazing. Plus table service of drinks too! The tables and equipment are top class and the toilets are sparkling as well! Will 1000% be back!

We attended a birthday party in the Roscoe function hall. The staff were excellent very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend these rooms for any function.

Unable to accurately rate food as I did not have any, but it looked great when someone else ordered. I discovered Roscoe's bar while on holiday as they were hosting a games night in their function room. The venue was very well organised, drinks were reasonably priced for the area, and the staff were extremely friendly. Needless to say we returned for a second evening and will genuinely miss the place. Given a lamp, I would wish Roscoe's bar was closer to home.

We dont often leave reviews for out of town work! However the two ladies (j&j) working this venue tonight, are the most polished and polite staff we have ever had the luxury of working alongside! A bit off the beaten track, cheap prices. Friendly staff.

Roscoe's Bar is an odd place to find a bar, just at the corner of Roscoe Street and Victoria Road it's situated up a long flight of stairs that you wouldn't normally associate with a bar. That said the bar itself is split into 3 rooms with 1 a small bar are with pool table, the second being a much larger fiction type room and an even higher up level with snooker tables. The bar is small but seats enough not to feel still empty when full but if there are quite a few of you you might find it a bit of a squeeze, especially when pool is being played. The function type room is very large with plenty of seating and a large dance floor with raised stage area for a band etc. The bar serves both rooms but is usually well manned and unless packed shouldn't be too bad for ordering. The beer is really cheap and is a major draw, with pretty much everything you could want to order behind there there's plenty of choice. The upstairs snooker room is exactly what it says, a large room with several snooker tables setup for paid usage. Overall I've had quite a few really good nights here and would highly recommend it as a prime place to visit or hire.

Lovely venue for parties, we held an engagement party here and it was brilliant. The staff were really lovely,.no task was too much, the room is ample enough for 100 people, there's a variety of ales and spirits to choose from.

Excellent service from all staff great room to hire would recommend to everyone thank you for a great night on Saturday the 25th of February.

Brilliant bar and venue. Well maintained and clean with friendly staff. Pool tables are nicely spaced out. The prices are fair and the coffee is good. Highly recommend.

Good sized venue and bar prices are reasonable. Function rooms available for hire, some with bar access. Public bar available. Upper level accessed by a substantial flight of stairs. Unfortunately no lift so could be a problem for the less mobile.

I've gatecrashed numerous party's at roscoes but this one I was actually invited to.🤣 Never disappoints. Decent venue, reasonable priced drinks 👍

It's an OK venue. Drinks are less expensive than most places . I didn't try the buffet food so I can't comment on that . The Biggest draw back is the staircase, it's the only way in ,no disability access ,and dangerous when leaving after having a few drinks.

Friendly staff enjoy a quiet drink my son took me here and enjoyed it no hustle and bustle to get to the bar

If you need a location for a party at an affordable price, this is it. There is plenty of room, drinks are not expensive and the owners and the team will help any way they can to make your event perfect. The buffet was great value for money and everyone is raving about the potato skins. Book in advance to avoid disappointment for your party! The snooker rooms are pretty snazzy too!

Very cheap drinks and a great venue to hire for a party or special event. Basic food is now available at a fair price. The staff are really friendly and the place now features a pool floor at the top. They also support several local groups through the use of their function room. The only downside is the lack of disabled access as you have to climb plenty of steps to reach the bar.

Mondays and Thursdays are Scarborough Games Society Nights and the drinks are really well priced.

First time visit for me. It was fun, played pool and darts in a nice relaxing atmosphere and service with a smile.

We had our wedding party here. Adam was on hand to answer all our questions. The room is spacious and was big enough for both our families. We had a fantastic time and would book again for future events.

Roscoe’s Bar is easy to find although parking wasn’t easy. The large function room is spacious and there is plenty of comfortable seating available. It is upstairs however which might be a problem for some people. The atmosphere is good and on a cold April day the warm room was very welcome. There is a good-sized dance/disco area but no facility off where you can get away from the music and have a catch up with friends. The bar is efficiently run and the prices are very reasonable. Tables are available against the walls for a buffet if required. It is an ideal venue for parties or other such functions.

This was a bit of a surprise to me. I wasnt expecting it to be a snooker hall. It has a nice comfortable feel about the place the bar staff very nice and polite. There is a nice bar cum function room with a stage and bar games before you go up to the tables and a smaller room at the side to play pool very clean.

Friendly staff and the games group here is very friendly.

Excellent service on the bar and great variety of drinks available. However, my reason for 3 stars was because the bathroom had dirty rolled up tissue all over the sink and around the toilets. Found it very uncomfortable to use the facilities.

Good size function room, in a quiet location. Parking can be a bit of a problem for those that aren't local. Great selection at the bar, and the heating must be set to >25c - you'll never get cold!

Cheap and cheerful. Good place for a private party. Room very large takes a lot to fill it. No cards accepted at bar but there is a free cash machine in the building. Reasonable prices on drinks.

Good value, hidden gem, they even have a proper happy hour, look out for that offer, could save a small fortune.

I booked Roscoe's for a mates stag do for the 26 of us to meet up before hitting the town and it was brilliant for us. Adam set up darts, pool and snooker for us to use, and organised a top notch buffet for us all that greatly exceeded our expectations! We ended up staying the whole night as it suited us best for chatting and meeting everyone. It was a great start to a great stag weekend. Thanks.
