Ronzio in South Lanarkshire

Coffee was good although disappointed there is no full breakfast despite it being advertised online. Overall, very overpriced in general. If they bring back the full breakfast, I would maybe give this place another chance. The pancakes and syrup were great though. We got two cappacicounos, one roll sausage and egg and pancakes and it was £28. This is robbery.

Love this wee place. Particularly their pancakes and French toast is amazing. Pancakes are so light and fluffy, perfect. 100% recommend

With the power of tripadvisor we found this cafe. First impression was good, clean and vibrant with plesant staff. Ordered scrambled egg on toast with salmon and a sausage/egg roll. Latte and a hot milk. Both tasted fantastic with lovely presentation, not your average run of the mill joint! A great find and real value for money.

I’ve wanted to try here for such a long time as I always hear people raving about their breakfasts/brunches and it definitely lived up to the standards! I went for the toasted sourdough bread with avocado & salmon on top and it was delicious!! You can’t really go wrong with this which Is why i thought it was a really safe option, the salmon was lovely and fresh and there was tonnnesss of it! The prices were actually really great in here also, and I had an iced caramel latte which was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had! Defo recommend x

When visiting from Northern Ireland cam here for breakfast staff are excellent and the food is beautiful Woolf definitely returned again when back in Scotland

Popped in here for lunch at 12 noon on a Friday, only a few tables filled.Our welcome was from a waitress at the till area who when we said we were looking for a table for four she shouted “just sit up at the back” ! It had a reserved sign on the table so we checked that was the table she told us to sit at. We placed our order with a waitress, who did not write anything down, after 30 minutes passed we asked a waitress how long our food would be, she barked, “your order is only just in” WRONG ! It had been in for 30minutes. I could have understood if the place was busy but there was only four tables occupied! Not only was she rude but then told us there was only one chef working !! I did not know that it took a chef thirty minutes to make two tuna sandwiches a cheese toastie and a bowl of soup. When the order did eventually arrive one of the tuna sandwiches had onion on it, we had said that one was with onion and the other without. We summoned the same waitress over to let her know,as she was walking back to her counter we clearly heard her puffing out loud to another member of staff.We also knew that she was discussing us with another staff member as they were talking and looking in our direction. My daughter took the sandwich to the manager and complained about the service to which the manager replied,it makes us feel bad that you asked how long our food would take !!! It was £9 for a tuna sandwich/panini,with tiny pieces of chopped tomato, no salad ,the tuna looked as though it had come straight from the can and onto the bread as there was large chunks visible,it looked as though it had not been chopped at all,they did not charge for the sandwich my daughter did not eat. I will NEVER frequent this place again, so if you want to get ripped off and spoken to in an aggressive manner go there.

Coffee is lovely and the staff are really friendly. Definitely recommend over costa and starbucks. will be back. Amazing

Great cafe in the heart of Hamilton. Food was great and served quickly, even on a busy Saturday. We asked the waitress to surprise us with an iced latte flavour and she didn’t disappoint! A must visit cafe

We were looking for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite but most importantly the staff was so warm, welcoming and pleasant to talk to you. We were a large group (didn’t even count the number) maybe 16, when we reached the restaurant the guy with a smile asked us to wait for 5 mins he moved around chairs,although the restaurant was very busy but he seemed so calm, even some of friends changed there order bit amendments were made without a frown on his face. All in all- The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I love that you get such generous portions as well for the price. I am definitely going back.

I visited Ronzio on a whim and loved it so much I returned a week later. Everything was delicious, decent portions too. It is a little more expensive than your average café, so its definitely a treat, but the quality of the food is excellent, as is the service. The first visit I had salmon carbonara style penne with a perfectly dressed salad. The second time we had brunch and a lovely smoothie.

Went in for lunch, gorgeous Black pudding and Feta salad - yum. My friend had the salmon pasta and loved it. Fantastic coffee, quirky decor and great service. The cakes looked amazing but we managed to resist but next time the enormous strawberry tart is mine! Easy parking in multi-story. Highly recommend.

Expected big things here after reading reviews but I was wrong. Staff didn’t seem too interested in my order, they were slow to respond when I was only one of four customers at that time. Coffee itself was good though, but wasn’t wowed

visited here recently with my daughter, her friend and friend's mother. We had a coffee first, then lunch followed by cake and more coffee. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is good...no wonder it's so busy!

I have to say wow extremely impressed. I have been wanting to pass in for a while I finally did, my friend and I both from Hamilton agreed this was the best cafe in Hamilton. Great breakfast, great coffee which is brewed on site. Great cake which is homemade all 10 plus cakes. First class and the fact it opens at 8am on a Saturday is amazing nowhere else in the town seems to open as early.

Amazing lunch! Very good value, good quality homemade soups/ciabattas/focaccia and delicious fillings (I would recommend the meatball filling) it was delicious , a good variety menu, lovely cakes and scones, we had the lemon poppyseed cake/cheesecake and clotted cream scone and coffees and all were delicious. Well worth a visit, ,family run business, service and staff were very friendly and attentive.

I have passed this busy and bright looking cafe many times, but since it is a walk from the car parking I have not until now visited. It is clean and bustling with helpful staff and quite an eclectic menu. This includes soup, sandwiches and snacks and excellent beverages. The staff were always happy and helpful and quickly moved tables together when we said there were to be 4 of us.We had drinks, the coffee and tea were both excellent, and fresh crisp bagel with generous amounts of cream cheese and smoked salmon. Well worth dropping in for a quick snack, though it appears very busy, especially at peak cafe times.

BF & I have been coming here regularly- usually just for a coffee & a scone. We always end up getting another scone each coz they are so good! Tried the ciabatta & pasta last time- delicious! Can’t wait to go back! The staff are so friendly & the food is made fresh - it’s so tasty.

My wife and I are 76 and 78 respectivley and there is no doubt most patrons are under 40 but we have learned the routine and use the place frequently. The food is good the service excellent and smiling and we will continue using

I enjoy visiting Ronzios. The food is nice and reasonable. Staff attentive but not in your face. Coffee, cakes all very tasty. One thing that really is not so pleasant is although opened until 6 0 clock the staff begin cleaning up about 4.30. Not very pleasant drinking coffee or eating with the smell of bleach in the air or areas be g swept at this early time. Come on Ronzio allow customers to feel welcomed and not trying to get them out early... What a shame. Not the best when wait g and smelling bleach at the same time.

Visited for the first time. Ordered breakfast which was fine but plate had two very large chips out of the edge of it. Not only dangerous but unhygienic. Had to assume previous damage and chips were not in the food. Plastic coated menus very tatty and stained which gives a bit of a poor image. Staff friendly. Jury is still out regarding a return visit

Visited today with 19 children and 10 adults for breakfast staff were efficient and attentive despite being busy serving other tables. The breakfasts came freshly made and arrived quickly even though there was a large volume of us to serve. Would highly recommend a visit.

I visited Ronzio again today. It is my favourite place to eat in Lanarkshire, in fact, one of my favourites anywhere. I’ve visited a number of times now and each time everything is perfect: the food, staff, atmosphere. The place is very comfortable. The standards are high. The food, especially the delicious cakes are out of this world. The owner and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Customer service is their priority. The owner makes a point of speaking to all customers....an excellent touch. I have no hesitation recommending this place. Wonderful!!!

Time to visit one of Hamilton’s newer coffee houses, and what a pleasant experience it proved to be.

Noticed this coffee shop when out for the day in Hamilton and decided to give it a try as it looked good from the outside. Coffee was very good and lovely strength without being bitter. Good selection of cakes. We tried the cheesecake and the peanut cake. Both were very nice. They also do various lunch snacks including toasted sandwiches and ciabatta, bruschetta etc at very reasonable prices. Would definitely return when shopping in Hamilton, the staff were very welcoming and friendly.

The good - Have been to Ronzio over 10 times and would agree with the good comments - teas, coffee, service and carrot cake good.

Really lovely place. Food was made to order and delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service, prepared something else for my son when then noticed he didn’t like what he had chosen. Looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely small café but warm and almost with a gourmet feel. The filled focaccia that i had was incredibly fresh and the coffee was fantastic.

Has become a firm favourite for me since its opening a year or so ago- lovely range of authentic Italian pastries, great hot drinks and although I've never had the breakfast, the smell alone is a delight! Staff are wonderful, and particularly accommodating with my young son.

Had been to Ronzio a couple of times before & had friendly staff etc Went today, I got what I thought was regular cheesecake (there was absolutely nothing indicating otherwise) until I ate a bit & it simply tasted odd. I very nicely & apologetically asked the girl behind the counter if i could change it. Got a hard stare & asked what was wrong with it, i said I wasnt sure why but i thought it was cheesecake, but that it clearkt wasnt.

Went in looked nice not a very big selection ordered at till paid then sat waited just short time girl came with our two lattes and two small dishes . I thought oh this is vanilla sugar and cinnamon put it in my latte to my total embarrassment it was salt and pepper l felt an idiot but thought why did she not say here's salt n pepper thought was like Starbucks

This is truly a food heaven. I have passed by Ronzio on my way through Hamilton's one way system daily and did not know this gem existed. I went in for a coffee and stayed for lunch. I and my Father had the Steak, onion and mushroom on tomato focia bread with side salad drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Just delicious and full of flavour, and made fresh as per order. Would like you to note that all ingredients are fresh and the focia bread and cakes all made onsite each day. The staff are excellent and helped with choice of meal and bread to eat today. I and my Father spoke to Ian and informed us of the ingredients and food is locally sourced and made onsite fresh each day to Order. So you are guaranteed a delicious treat, so if your in Hamilton town centre drop by and check it out.

Not open quite a year yet and this place is amazing. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and very efficient. I have been going in ever since it opened and still love the place. The home made cakes are truly fabulous! I would recommend anyone who is in Hamilton to go and visit. The decor is great. It is a unique coffee house and a very welcome addition to Hamilton. It is open late on a Friday and Saturday and you can bring your own bottle. I have visited a few times in the evening. The pasta and risotto are so good.

Situated just across the road from the main Regent Shopping Centre (I think it was previously a Bridal shop) this is a really nice high quality coffee shop A very nice Italian inspired menu with lots of options (I particularly enjoy the Tuna bruschetta) and a nice selection of cakes all very reasonably priced – The coffee (and cakes) itself is also very nice as are the very friendly staff. Rounded of by nice décor and sufficient seating it’s a great please to meet with friends for coffee and a chat or a quick coffee on your own Well worth a visit.

If you have never been to Ronzio's get in now. I have lived in Hamilton my whole life and this is the best coffee shop ever. The coffee is superb, but the cakes are to die for. Homemade and extremely tasty. Hamilton is a terrible town centre but this place is a gem.

First dropped in for a coffee and scone which was good quality. Class place and nice atmosphere with mostly food which is made in house. After shopping we dropped in for a bite. Pasta was perfect with grilled vegetables - restaurant quality at bargain price. Focacc ia was excellent as well. You would need to travel into Glasgow to get anything to equal this quality. Left very pleased.

I visited Ronzio again today. This was my third visit and believe me I’d go every day if I didn’t work in Glasgow and my waistline permitted. Food is excellent with huge portions and all st a very good price. Today I had tuna and onion on olive focaccia. My friend had meatball on olive focaccia. We both had a HUGE slab of carrot cake. Mmm, mouth watering and even then you don’t get the full picture. Everything is baked fresh each day with the owner up in the wee small hours baking to satisfy the needs and delights of all their customers and believe me there’s a huge choice. The decor in Ronzio is great too. You get a West end feel but at a much reduced price. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. I can thoroughly recommend but please leave some of the delicious cakes for me. You will most definitely not be disappointed. Thank you Ronzio.

1st time I have tried this place and I wasn't disappointed. The food was very good and great value for money. The staff were very friendly. As other people have said the carrot cake was the best I have tasted. Hamilton has been crying out for a place like this. Can't wait to return

We popped in here for a coffee in comfortable surroundings and found our lattes to be tasty and also well priced- 2 lattes plus 1 piece of cake cost 7 pounds 15. The waitress was very friendly and we discussed the town of Hamilton. Unfortunately the cafe at present overlooks the empty Bairds store so definitely not a desirable view. Hopefully this will change. Would definitely return to this cafe.

Smashin little eatery in Hamilton, had a lovely paninni with spicy chicken and my mum had a lovely chicken salad, tea was leaf not your normal tea bag. Prices were good just about right for thequality.

Visiting a friend in Hamilton, took me in for a coffee, was have no a toasted sandwich but chang d my mind at the last minute. Ordered the carrot cake, and was soo glad! I stay in Glasgow and hav Ben to new nervous places for cake and coffee, but this place wins hands down, as It,s the bst carrot cake I have EVER tasted. Baked on the oremis s, soo good my friend bought two portions to take away! Brilliant place, lovely staff, and everything looked amazing, can't recommend enough.

Visited this venue many times for lunch however this was my first visit for dinner as they have only recently started opening on a Friday and Saturday evenings. I have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere and tonight was no exception. The food was delicious and the service very attentive. We started with a sharing platter with a selection of meats, cheeses and fresh bread and foccacia, what a lovely way to start our meal. I can recommend the lasagne which was freshly made and so tastey. Other choices at the table were a Chicken dish and pasta with steak all of which were thoroughly enjoyed.

First visit my husband said the carrot cake was the best he had ever tasted. Busy wee place but that's because it's good.

Always nice to see an independent coffee/food venue. Staff are nice, cakes are homemade. Not tried their lunch food but it also looks great. Will be a regular.

I visited here today with a friend for lunch. She had been many times previously but for me it was a first. We both had tuna and onion toasted focaccia, a soft drink but then had to follow it up with tea/coffee and a delicious cake. She had the layer cake and I had carrot cake cheesecake. Everything was just perfect. Food was delicious, staff friendly and welcoming, great atmosphere. Great value for money too. The place only opened a few months ago but already they have a number of regulars. While we were there, it was busy but not overcrowded. The cafe is spotless. For me, this is a must. Ronzio delivered in every way. I will most definitely return and will recommend to all friends. I've already shared it with all Facebook friends and encouraged them to visit. Thank you to everyone.

Dropped in today for a nosey as drive past every day and like the look of the new place. Lovely interior and friendly staff. We had a bacon roll, scrambled egg roll and two teas, £9 so good value and delicious food. Like the menu and reasonably priced so will definitely go back. Only negative is no table service.

This little Italian Coffee House is relatively new to Hamilton. It has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I have had a few different meals and everything has been very tasty. The tomato soup is wonderful! If you have a sweet tooth there is a very tempting array of cakes, too.

Went for lunch with a friend to Ronzios' as I'd been hearing good things about it. I wasn't disappointed. We both had a toasted tuna sandwich on brown bread, a cappuccino and a latte. It came to just over a tenner, so the price was about average for the area. Not the same with the overall experience though. The food was delicious and very nicely presented, the coffees were also very tasty. The staff were friendly and very helpful, the music was a joy, Brown Eyed Girl followed by Sugar Sugar then a little Simon and Garfunkel, perfect! The cafes' decor was rustic and very tasteful. I love this place now and look forward to my next visit. Way to go Ronzio!

First time visit to this new coffee shop in a great central location. Pleasant surroundings, very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. We asked about the items on display in the food cabinet and were treated to a free sample of each to help us decide which to have! Will definitely be going back there many times and would recommend it to anyone.

Was so glad when this cafe opened. Very near to me and I was getting tired of other cafes in Hamilton. The head waiter, whom I believe to be from Albania is really friendly and made me and my friends welcome. The decor is really cool and the atmosphere is warm. I have been three times now and have had a pain au chocolat, a roll and bacon and a ciabatta with mozzarella and tomato. Food was all good however please can you cater for people who can't have caffeine? The last time I was in I was told they don't do decaf tea. I had a decaf coffee which was average. For this reason, unfortunately I will need to go somewhere else if I fancy a cup of tea :(

Not like your usual high street coffee house that lack character and atmosphere, Ronzio in the centre of Hamilton is a warm, friendly and "refreshing" coffee establishment that has a delicious mix of Italian goodies that compliment the excellent beverages on offer. The owners have certainly found a winning combination and I would highly recommend a visit to this little gem.

We visited Ronzio today as a family. The staff are very friendly and as it was our first visit they kindly took the time to explain the menu, how to order etc.

First class home-made Italian soups, daily pasta, bread...and the coffee is the best. The resident cook Giorgio from Bari obviously enjoys his work...recommend the arancini (rice-balls in cheese etc) with salad. And excellent service from very pleasant staff!

Hamilton has many coffee shops, some are great, others unfortunately not so (or have deteriorated over the years - such as Crema). So we were keen to try this brand new establishment in the old Eleganza building.
