Veggie options were limited, and it was not that nice,

Simply excellent every time we visit, breakfast lunch or dinnet. Conveniently located nine minutes from Terminal Two - and about 11 minutes from the T1/T3 complex at Manchester International Airport.

I have used this place for years. Handy close to the airport. It can disapoint sometimes

Had a meal on the evening of the 21st January 2025, food was really tasty, the staff very friendly and attentive, all in all a great evening 😀

Great spot, just off the motorway, tucked away, didn't know it was there, ideal for a business lunch, had speciality burger and fries, with onion rings, very good.

We organised a wake for our late mother and the food on the buffet was excellent, service exceptional and we all gathered around a cosy real fire

One of the best steak pies 🥧 I have ever had still full 2 days later and the staff were really nice 👌 worth a visit if you haven't been

We had lunch here due to delays in planes. The food was excellent. I had spare rib, my son had the steak and ale pie, and burger. Staff very pleasant and helpful. A very enjoyable experience.

We dropped in for Sunday Lunch for the first time..we had the slow cooked prime rib with all the trimmings which was absolutely delicious..great service.. lovely unhurried service..good beer..will definitely return..well done The Romper !

Great experience! Easy to book a table online and the team were really accommodating and pleasant despite how busy it was. The only disappointing aspect was the parking. Very limited parking options, small spaces and a risk of damaging the car due to the tight parking.

Christmas time is family time and 14 of us were lucky enough to spend it together at The Romper. We loved the food which was as fabulous as ever. Tom and the Team are so warm, welcoming and friendly it's like visiting family and friends. Our server Harvey was an absolute star on the day, he has the most infectious smile and nothing is too much trouble. Will soon be booking for next Christmas.

Christmas menu was amazing, putting us in the Christmas spirit, food,service and value for money was exceptional .

A hidden gem. Lovely staff made us feel welcome. A cosy atmosphere with open fire and some interesting menu variations. And perfectly clean loos!

Excellent food and service for an extremely busy time of year. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Our booking of 17 people had to be reduced to 14 on the morning of our lunch, and the table changes had been made by the time we arrived. We'll be back for our work Christmas lunch next year!

We were looking for an eatery close to Manchester Airport as we were flying the next morning and we always stay over the night prior to a flight. Google search highlighted the Romper as a good option We loved the olde worlde vibe about this pub. The service and food excellent. As we always fly from Manchester, this will be our go to for pre flight meals

Really lovely, family friendly pub with reasonable priced food and drink.

Used by the Mercedes Benz Club on a regular basis they managed to serve up very good choices of food for large numbers and the recent Xmas meal for 38 people went very smoothly and the food plentiful and good quality. Close to Manchester Airport it is a hidden gem for visitors and plane spotters too.

Waited a long time to be served and had to flag someone over after 30mins food was well below average and had asked three different people to chase up or drinks. Shame for such a nice environment.

Nice, cosy pub with a pleasant and homey atmosphere. The mulled wine was delicious. It was great to have vegan options, although there could be more.

I recently had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The service was fantastic, and I absolutely loved the salty caramel hot chocolate—it was just perfect. However, I found the 7-hour slow-cooked beef to be a bit too fatty for my taste. That said, everything else was delicious, and I really appreciated that they offered takeout options, especially with packing for our dog. Thank you so much for the lovely experience!

Convenient for Manchester airport. We had quite a long wait for both service and for the meal to arrive. The menu was a bit limited and pricey.

Waitress was lovely however they could have done with a bother waitress where I was sat as it picked up it took 10 minutes everytime we wanted a drink or condiment to get her attention.

We headed to The Romper for Sunday lunch, we weren't booked in, Tom/Ben made sure we got a lovely seat in the bar area. Toms and Ben's service was excellent, as was the food. Love it here!

What a lovely place and massively convenient for the airport!

My first time of coming here will definitely return Excellent customer service from a lady called Sue it was my birthday and she was so lovely to even put a candle in my desert. Food was freshly cooked and filling Will definitely recommend and return. 10 out of 10.

Love it here, they’ve got everything. It’s like 2 pubs- one dog friendly for drinks ans casual meals, come as you are vibes, and a gastro pub on the other side for groups and dos

The Romper is a nice period pub, but unfortunately the food lets it down, I had Cumberland sausage and mash, the sausage was prepared and partially cooked off site and heated up in a microwave to finish them off, the sausage didn’t have natural casings (skins) which made it like chewing on a plastic bag, the mash potatoes were made from powdered potato starch.. peas were passable.. overall poor considering the price

We arrived at about 7.30pm, took forever to be seated. Finally got our drinks by 8.15, food by 8.40, went to order dessert only to be told the kitchen closed at 9 so can't order now. Food tasted amazing but thr service really let's this place down

Lovely festive atmosphere friendly staff and very tasty food

I had a gorgeous lunch here for my birthday. We had the festive menu which was lovely. We had the king prawns and the ham hock/chicken terrine for starters. Our main courses were the beef cheek and the cod. Puddings were the chocolate bell and peach/winter berry tarte tatin. Every dish was delicious. We would recommend all of them. The staff were absolutely lovely. Sue looked after us incredibly well and really made my day on my birthday. Thanks Sue and to all the other lovely staff too. We are back on Xmas Eve, can't wait!

Had the most phenomenal game mixed grill this evening, venison steak, gressingham leg of duck and wild boar sausage, all cooked to perfection, and my good lady had the steak and ale pie, highly recommend this spot as never had a bad meal yet and the staff are all great 👍👍 Always eat here when flying out of Manchester, just around the corner from our usual hotel

Great place for a meal or just a drink. We recently had our daughters 1st Birthday here and it was fantastic. Staff went above and beyond and couldn't do enough, everyone left very happy. Food is delicious and high quality every time. I would highly recommend a visit.

1st time @ this bar/ restaurant I found it a very good place for food & a drink, very pleasant.

Amazing food, amazing quality and amazing atmosphere. Really enjoyed the chefs board to share and the lamb shank Sheppards pie was extremely filling. Would highly recommend.

Went in on my break and got seated bar guy was nice and friendly got the crispy chicken burger came with fries and onion rings but no drink overall it was very nice spent 24 pound for that and 2 drinks went in the next day different guy ordered the same thing made me wait 30m after saying 20m just to tell me to wait another 20 to 30m he looked lost and not a clue what he was doing so had to go back to work hungry as my break was abt to end

We wanted one last good meal without moving too far from Manchester airport, and we found this on Google Maps. Not only did it meet all expectations but they were also gracious enough to find us a table on a busy evening without a reservation. And to top it off, our server Jake was incredibly friendly and attentive to us… guiding is through the menu and making suggestions which we were all happy with. Will definitely be back next time we travel out of Manchester!

What an absolute gem of a place. We were served by both Sue and Tom and have been trying to get in here for ages but always were to busy. Both Sue and Tom were amazing and nothing was to much trouble. The meals were great and good value for money and we chose of the specials board. we had three cources all very nice and well presented. i went for the game mixed grill and probably the best i have ever had. we will defiantly be going again at some point as the menu was amazing and had some really tasty food on there. The pub décor and atmosphere was also nice. Cant wait to go back.

Having attended at The Romper quite frequently over the last couple months with my freinds+biker family at RRR and we have all been welcomed on every occaision. My only request so far through RRR is to get the outdoor patio shelter heaters switched on..! Now just booked a table for 30 (freinds & family) for my daughters 1st birthday and it was a lovely occaision of celebration, laughter and fun filled memories. The staff at The Romper looked after us very well, so a big thank you to all involved, the venue is warm & welcoming, the food was great and the atmosphere too.. Would definitely recommend a visit & I'll certainly continue to return on a regular basis with all my buddies at RRR..🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍

We have been here several times now. Eating with our friends, family gatherings and also a few times with our dog Bruce. The place is an absolute gem. Not far from where we live. Easily accessible from motorways and A roads. The staff are very friendly and helpful even when we bring the dog. Giving him water and they have a treat tin on the fireplace. The food is absolutely lovely and really reasonably priced and good sized portions. We always order two sausages for Bruce too. Plenty of choice drink wise. An all round great experience and this is why we go back time after time. Thanks a lot Romper crew and see you again soon (With Bruce)

I attend every Thursday and the staff couldn’t be nicer. What a great pub that also does some lovely pub food.

We stopped here before we had to head into Manchester. The service was great and food arrived in a reasonble time. I ordered the pork belly and it was delicious. If we'd had more time we would've stayed a little longer but we had to eat and go. Lovely atmosphere in a very busy pub.

Last minute decision to have some lunch. Family of 8, no booking, sat down, fed and watered. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. Food was delicious!

Had dinner here the night before we flew out of Manchester. The food was great and not overpriced. For a Sunday night it was busy,service was just a bit slow because of this. The staff was working hard, and they were all friendly. I recommend this place for a good meal !

Quite below Wetherspoons quality/portions and 3 times as expensive, Do not eat here. It’s a shame, The pub itself is a charming little place and the staff were nice, however the food let it down. Our party of 4 had three £17.00 each three meat roasts that were cold and wouldn’t have filled a large 9 year old, and one fish and chips at £16.00 which the fish was about the size and quality of birdseyes and about 11 oven chips on with it. Call in for a drink but call off for at McDonald’s for a larger meal/better quality and save yourself £50.00

Really nice pub to go have something to eat, really good food, everybody enjoyed it, a little bit expensive, but still worth it for the odd occasion..

Four of us had a Sunday lunch followed by a mini pudding with coffee. Enjoyed by all & served by a very pleasant waitress called Sarah. We will call again. We have now been a few times for Sunday lunch. The roasts have always been tasteful and we are very grateful that we can opt for the smaller portion which is not available at a lot of pubs or restaurants. This time we were served by Sarah & Elliott who always interact & make us feel very welcome. Well done to the staff at the Romper..

We had a fantastic dinner at Romper near Manchester Airport before our flight the next day. The free parking was a great bonus, especially compared to another nearby establishment who charge. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great selection of guest ales for me and flavoured gin that my missus really enjoyed. The desserts looked amazing, but we were so satisfied with our mains that we had to pass. We’ll definitely visit again. Thank you!

Arrived earlier than the time we booked for. Had a drink at the bar and was seated at our table within 5 minutes. Service was second to none it was table service and the staff are pleasant and friendly. Food arrived without too long a wait l. I had roast turkey Sunday roast and it was delicious. Duck fat roasted potatoes beautiful. My partner had the beef rib Sunday roast. The beef was melt in the mouth and super tasty. Had a side order of honey roasted pigs also delicious. For dessert a trio of classic puddings. Sherry trifle,Eton mess and jam roll poly and custard. We shared this it was lush. I also had a cappuccino. Probably the best roast dinner at a pub we have had.

Great food, good selection of beers and friendly service. They also offer a 15% discount on food (Chef & Brewer) if you have a Blue Light Card - every little helps!

Nice pub for a pint and some food and near to airport for those staying over.

Food okay, but could do with upgrading. Salmon fishcake had more potato than salmon and sweet potato was cut into rounds, instead of chips. So went home still hungry!! Steak pie too big, with not much beef content! Love the place, servers very pleasant and on the ball!! And would still call in again.
