I was a little bit afraid of the "daily changing menu" as a non native English speaker, but this was totally unnecessary. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly and super helpful ❤️ I especially enjoyed the sharing style for the main course.

The restaurant offered an exceptional dining experience, with attentive and professional service that made us feel truly welcome. The interior design was elegant yet cozy, creating a perfect ambiance. The fish was incredibly fresh, beautifully plated, and bursting with unique flavors. The salad was a standout—light, refreshing, and creatively composed. The venison was perfectly cooked, rich, and deeply flavorful. Every dish was a delight, making for a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Went for V day with the Mrs, absolutely phenomenal food and good value too. Service was charming and friendly, the Italian geezer explained us the whole concept of how rogues menu changes weekly. We went a la carte instead of set menu to fuel our high protein desires but both stellar options. Highlight definitely the pâté choux bun, the fish, and that wonderful veggie dish.

Excellant food, service was amazing. I went for my birthday and the staff gave me a card signed by all of them which was the most adorable thing I’ve ever had from a restaurant (they also gave me a little cake with a candle to blow). I would definitely go again and recommend anyone to try.

Had a fantastic experience at Rogues in Hackney. The set menu was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Service was quick, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The stylish yet relaxed atmosphere made for a great evening.

Rogues is a lovely spot for a cosy, relaxed dinner with great food and wine. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm, however, our experience was sadly dampened by service that felt very unwelcoming. We opted to order our own selection of dishes rather than the set menu, which seemed to frustrate our server. From this point on we received very abrupt and cold energy from our server. We love small plate dining for the flexibility of picking what you fancy and how much of it, so the rigid approach was a bit unexpected. A shame, as everything else bar the service was great.

Incredible food at fantastic value - a top class neighbourhood restaurant that feels a cut above. The set menu is affordable, delicious and varied. The wine is reasonably priced and delicious. The staff are all so enthusiastic and kind - they were incredibly accommodating of needing to rebook and were attentive and friendly. My partner and I will definitely be back to try other seasonal menus - not to mention the Monday roast!

Love Rouges. so much- we had the tasting menu and orange wine. I have a nut allergy, and it’s such a relief when a restaurant adjusts dishes without fuss, and doesn’t hand you a massive allergen matrix! The staff were all super friendly and efficient. Thanks for a great lunch

We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Rogues last night. The food was delicious - the set menu is a really good option to try lots on the menu. The drinks & wine recommendations were all spot on. And finally our waitress Aurore was wonderful & made our night really special with an anniversary card signed by all the staff! Highly recommend Rogues!

Meh. I don't have another way to describe Rogues. We had great expectations considering the rave reviews. The service was attentive and the atmosphere nice. And the starters and dessert were well presented and tasty. But the main dishes were meh at best. The meat was tough. The cabbage felt like pub food. And the fish was forgettable. Also the portions were very small and we were hungry going home. Considering we paid £110 for two set menus, there are much better options in Shoreditch at that price point. Won't be back I'm afraid...

Great restaurant, the roast menu was super super tasty and the staff is lovely. Went there for my anniversary and they wrote a little card for us which was a super cute gesture. Their wine was also delicious

I’ve been twice and both times exceeded expectations. They catered to my very strict dietary needs with ease and a set menu where I could enjoy a lot of things and everything tasted delicious. Will be back.

Unreal experience. The food is incredible. My partner didn’t want fish so they amended their set menu specifically for her. The atmosphere is incredible and you never felt rushed to leave. Couldn’t recommend this place much more.

I dined at this restaurant this evening and am still confused by the billing experience. The menu clearly listed the prices for both two-course and three-course meals, and we decided to go for the 800g steak, which had a £45 supplement charge. The sides were included in the price, so there shouldn’t have been any surprises. However, when the bill arrived, it showed a charge for four double courses plus the supplement charge, which didn’t match what we had ordered. After questioning the charge, the waitress checked with the chef and returned with an explanation that we had been given extra sides — which wasn’t true, as we didn’t order anything extra. Sadly, we won’t be coming back. This was not how I had hoped the night would end, and the entire experience was very disappointing. The food was good, but the billing left a lot to be desired.

We came here for our anniversary meal in September. The food was exceptional – full of flavour, with diverse ingredients that felt both nourishing and indulgent. We went for the set menu at £51 per person, which was extraordinary value for the quality of food we received. We also tried some of the English Rosé, Assyrtiko orange wine, and Côtes du Rhône with each course – all expertly recommended by the sommelier without breaking the bank (£9-£13 per glass). With the service charge added, we spent £215 in total for both of us. As you can see from the pictures, everything was spot on.The service, though relaxed, was very good, and the ambience of the place was perfect for us – other couples on dates, people appreciating the unique wine selection, and even the music made it feel like a much more special experience. If you're like us and, for special occasions, you like to get the right balance between the restaurant feeling unique whilst experiencing an array of flavours and exploring new food and wine in a cool setting, then this is for you. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special occasion without the stuffiness of more traditional places – it’s cool, unique, and the quality of the food is some of the best in London.

Very very good food. And wildly affordable for quality, execution and flavor. Fancy presentation (something i don’t gravitate towards) but big balanced flavors. Service was awesome. Sat at the bar and really enjoyed bartenders. Cod collar, bread, and Crudo were standouts but i assume you can’t really go wrong.

A delicious meal, really nice space and our server Caitlin was so lovely. Probably a 4.3 overall but just not quiiite a 5! We went with the set menu in mind but there were a few things we didn’t fancy so went a la carte: Crab rosti was 10/10, could’ve eaten 10 of them Smoked burrata with beetroot, again 10/10 this was my favourite Bread was 10/10 - bovril butter genius Cured sea bass really tasty and fresh Skate wing was the only fish option which I don’t really rate in general so this was a bit disappointing The chorizo/mussel/squid stew was soo flavoursome but I’m not sure if the dish it was served in was cold but it cooled down really quickly so was kinda cold by the time we finished it Love that they do carafes of wine - someone recommended the mareno (could be spelt wrong) and it was delish Sat at the counter (I thought would be chefs table vibes but actually just the bar and the manager seemed kinda judgy 🤷🏼‍♀️) so would sit at the tables if I went again! Overall a great meal and would’ve been 5/5 if they had better fish option and maybe a chicken or lamb option!

Wow!! A very special and memorable meal. I came here with my partner after hearing about this restaurant from a friend. This is not only a great neighborhood restaurant but a gourmet culinary experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were amongst longtime friends. So accommodating of our needs (neither of us drink alcohol or eat pork). Best mocktails we've ever tried. And every course was divine!! I'd be lying if I said I had any constructive criticism. Well done, team. Thank you for such a lovely meal and evening. We can't wait to come back.

This is a review for a pescetarian set menu. The snacks and starters were delicious (the bread and smoked buratta were very very good). I didn’t like the flat fish dish, not sure what the fish was but the flavour and texture was off. It also comes with a bone. The following dish - turbot - was better but i was not a big fan either. I think both fish dishes were pan fried and it made fish tasting too greasy for me. The celeriac (celery root) was pretty good but it had too much brown barbecue-ish sauce. The team was very very sweet and welcoming!

We ordered 3 set menus and one wine pairing, spent 260£. unfortunately, we were disappointed - not worth for the hype and the price. First, the staff from the beginning didn’t explain accurately about the size of set menu and A La carte. We thought 3 sample menus we will get three plates of original size, but the waiter didn’t tell us that we will actually got 2 plates for 3 sample menus. This should not happen in a sample tasting case. Second, the quality is ordinary. First courses were good starting with the pumpkin soup, bread butter, salmon, which were standard. Nothing surprising. The main course includes halibut, strong fish smell and over cooked. Pork was too salty, didn’t go well with the veggies and sauce. One of the dessert called cheesecake, but we felt it’s just cream. Chocolate was interesting. Third, wine pairing is not great- sparkling, dry white, red were ordinary. The last sweet wine - please avoid it if you have IBS. It didn’t go well with the dessert at all. In terms of the proportion, the last wine bottle was finished when serving us, and it was so obvious that the proportion was too small but the waiter didn’t fill it up. Last, our dinner ended at 8pm and the waiter came to ask us to leave for the next guest 5 mins before 8pm. We know we need to leave at 8pm but they don’t need to come to chase us. This is really not nice especially people paid for the experience. Overall, we didn’t feel the genuine care , food quality didn’t match the price, and it’s clear that they are not ready to deliver a true tasting experience yet. I would not recommend and not returning my self.

My husband and I spent a lot of time deliberating over where to go for our first wedding anniversary. We finally settled on Rogues and we couldn't have been happier with our choice!! We loved the tasting menu and had delicious drinks and wine. The staff were so friendly and it felt like they really loved working there, which made the atmosphere elegant and fun.

I had high expectations given the hype, but overall, the experience was a mixed bag. Some dishes were enjoyable, but others fell short—especially the final chocolate dessert, which was overly salty and left unfinished. The service was also slow, with long waits between courses, which made the meal feel drawn out to the point where I was almost falling asleep. For a £140+ meal for two, I expected more. On a positive note, I appreciated the handwritten card from the staff acknowledging our special occasion, which added a nice personal touch.

We just came back from this amazing restaurant all hyped up! Definitely is a star restaurant. How amazing when all food had a good seasoning and flavour!!! Amazing smooth service and amazing food!!! We were saying that chefs are magician's and the waitress agreed. If I can be very picky desserts wasn’t the strong point, but still a 5 star restaurant. Def recommend. From the moment we were greeted by Catriona, and then being served by Caitlin & Daniel, this place did not miss a single beat. The atmosphere and decor were gorgeous, enhanced by a playlist with absolutely 0 skips. The food was incredible (my friend didn't love her cut of steak, apparently the taste was amazing but the texture was not good. but when she fed that back, it was removed from our bill). I have to say though this was the best service I have received in all of London if not globally, in my life? That feels dramatic but honestly it was just so special, the staff here are aglow with talent, charisma, and kindness. It made me want to work there but also be a regular. I'm only in London a week and plotting ways to get back here again for another immaculate experience. Huge thanks to that truly special team for the beautiful meal ❤️

Incredible service, great wine, very very subpar food. It was one of the most underwhelming experiences I’ve had in a restaurant. Sooo many dishes had mayo based sauces, not enough flavour, not one thing was great. I felt so scammed by these good reviews. For this price, go anywhere in London & take your chances - you’ll be better off.

I ordered a main dish with some type of sausage and “butter bean stew”. The butter beans were quite hard and chalky, which I did not enjoy at all. Conversely, the sausage had a very strong flavor and needed the balance of the beans to be enjoyable. In the end, I was only able to eat half of the dish. I asked the waitress if the beans were supposed to be hard and she checked with the kitchen that said they would be more firm than canned beans because they’re cooked in house. I’m no bean expert but there is a difference between firm and hard/chalky. When I asked for the bill, she said she had applied a discount. I laughed to myself to see it was only 10% off the dish I did not enjoy which amounted to £1.5 off a £50 bill for one. I also had to ask for my water to be refilled a few times and the multiple dishes from the tapas style serving were not cleared while I moved from dish to dish. Not sure how that justifies a 12.5% gratuity.

The food and drink are exceptional. Thoughtful, crafted and delicious. The tasting menu is paced nicely and the best way to get the full experience. The atmosphere is considered and elevated without being too stuffy. It feels welcoming. The best part about our two visits in two days were the hospitality. Everyone from manager, bar tender and waiter was super friendly and accommodating. On our last day in London we even ran into the manager in the street and got a honk/wave. 100% will go back next time we’re in town.

You know what I usually love the most about sort of fine dining places? Bread and butter 😂 in Rogues not only bread and butter were excellent but the whole experience. Super accommodating friendly stuff and amazing food. We ordered quite a lot of food, but if you are 3, Id probably recommend main 4 plates and all starters and youll be good! They have a great selection of wines too and staff that knows a lot about each bottle. The restaurant has a cozy inviting atmosphere, dimmed lighting and Id say its good for both a date night or a dinner with friends, like we did.

If anyone was to ask what my favourite London restaurant was, I would not hesitate to say Rogues. I've been back a number of times, and every time we have a wonderful experience. There's some little touches that really show they put you first, for example sanitary products in the toilets (you don't see that often). The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their menus. Speaking of the menus, every time I go back there's something new and exciting on there. The set menu is always a great way to dive in. They have a great wine selection too and really know their stuff. Don't be afraid to ask for recommendations. This time we went for a birthday, and I was presented with a signed birthday card from the Rogues team. I have to say in my opinion there's not many restaurants that I've been to that have such nice ambience, where the staff treat you with such warmth and serve you such great food and wine. Thank you Rogues for another wonderful experience, keep doing what you're doing. We'll come by again for sure!

I dined here last night with some girlfriends and it was exceptional! One of our friends was late joining us, but we were never made to feel rushed or asked how long it would be until she arrived. We went for the tasting menu which was really generous and every dish was beautifully presented and equally as delicious. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and the perfect level of attentive.
