Roddy is my local fave and it never ceases to amaze me. Delicious food every time and service always friendly. Roddy is a must when in Tunbridge Wells

I saw these guys at the Chiddingstone food festival and knew I just had to try their burger. I had the Roddy burger and I have to say, I can not fault it one bit. The bun was fresh, flurry and did not fall apart. Brilliant sear on both the smashed patties, which had fantastic flavouring (not no mass produced from these guys!). The simplistic mix of pickles onion, cheese and lettuce allowed the full flavour of the beef to shine. Roddy was a honest and clearly passionate chef as well. Highly rated. Best burger I’ve had the pleasure of tasting in a long time.

Usually lovely food, but not tonight. The chips were cold, the chicken was dry and the burger, edible.

The best burger place in Tunbridge Wells. Roddy has steadily improved in quality as a restaurant since opening, to the point that they’ve perfected their burgers, with everything on the menu absolutely delicious. Brilliant and friendly service and a noticeable care for making and serving great food that feels unique and homemade, not mass produced. Whether you’re eating in or ordering in, Roddy is essential dining.

The burgers are pretty good, probably one of the best we have. Freshly made. Simple flavours. Loved it.

Fantastic burger. Perfect size burger with perfect size bun. Great pickles and sauce. Burger cooked amazingly. Was the best burger I've eaten in ages. Plus a super oreo milkshake. Also great service and friendly staff.

I have eaten at Roddyburger a few times. On one occasion I had an Italian-inspired special called the 'Calabrian' I believe that was out of this world. Truly exceptional. But it was a one-off. I have tried several of the burgers on the menu and none of them have come close. And some of the burgers really don't cut the mustard. I tried another special called the 'Oklahoma', a primary source burger of legend but which in Roddyburger's hands turned out to be a watery mess, the bun sodden and the onions lacking caramelisation. Honestly, where you will be set back nearly £50 for two burgers and drinks I don't think I could recommend it. And the price is only half the problem. For a burger joint, the ambience is terrible. During my last visit there was music (I think a collection of tracks solely featuring artists from the early 2000s) blasting out so loudly I struggled to have a conversation with my partner sitting across the table. We asked the waiter if he could turn the music down a little but the suggestion seemed to offend him. We were told that the (volume of) music was part of the restaurant's ambience. There was a strong insinuation that if we didn't like the blaring assault on our ears we should look to eat elsewhere. We were left with the impression that we were not the kind of people this restaurant was looking to welcome and we are unlikely to go back. Perhaps dear reader, if you're looking for a burger, like bangers from the naughties and have deep pockets this place may welcome you.

Always a great burger. One of the few places where I will order a chicken burger over beef because it's just that good. Great cider option as well

Absolutely faultless service with amazing food. Absolutely superb place to get an appetising meal out alone or with others. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area.

visited as treat. had the cheeseburger offer. given no cutlery . soft drinks out of a can No one asked if okay. the person who brought food kept fixing their hair, not washing hands after. went to pay bill, had service charge added . certainly wont be back. Seems loan eaters not counted for customer service, care. there were 2 guys taking photos of different things, staff more interested in them .

I was hungry and required a burger. I had heard great things about the establishment. I ordered it and when it came the first smokey bite was a delight. The burger had salty punch, that made me go grab my milkshake. Yet, it wasn’t there. I called up the establishment and enquired about my missing milkshake. The young, kind gentlemen on the other step of the phone helped me locate where the issue could have occurred and what I could do to resolve this issue (all be it, the gent sounded shocked - a good sign that the establishment isn’t a regular mistake maker in this department). In the end I recieved a milkshake, which conquered my sodium thirst, leaving me satisfied with the meal and the customer support. Thank you to the gent on the phone

great 'smash burgers'really enjoyed the mexican, make sure you have the roddy hot sauce, really fresh scotch bonnet sauce without being oily. Good choice of beers aswell.

A proper burger. The new bar is set for a nostalgic and classic taste. The extra patty gave some weight and left me feeling very well-fed. I’ll be doing that again. Slaw and fries on the side, along with some hot (it is very hot) sauce, made for a delicious meal. And the choice of beverage, the Radler, was the right one to add a bit of freshness to the experience. Thanks Roddy Burger. Top stuff.

All the food is great, but the chicken burger deserves a special mention. I think they’ve completed the chicken burger. Crunchy, juicy, lovely gochujang flavours. All other burger places should stop selling chicken burgers and just leave these guys to it. Banging.

These guys really know how to make great, exciting, fresh, fun food! Ever changing menus, with classic options and creative specials. Wonderful milkshakes, and specialist beers. This is the best burger restaurant in Tunbridge Wells hands down!

popped out tonight as we fancied a burger.....found Roddyburger and were delighted....had the chicken bites to start (succulent and tasty) then had two lovely perfectly cooked burgers.....we were actually served by the man himself.....will be back

I went for 'The Gazza' and 'Dirty Fries', they didn't disappoint! The service was great and catered well for our group of fifteen men.

Amazing! Ordered on Deliveroo and called them up for some dietary requirements and the man on the phone was so accommodating. Such yummy yummy food burgers - delicious, Mac n cheese bits - scrumptious and the loaded fries were just amazing. Food was hot and such great value for money!

Hands down the best burger you'll ever have. Is it £15? Yes. Is it the Oklahoma with bacon? Yes. Am I biased because my family comes from Oklahoma? No. Cause this burger is the best thing that's happened to it. If you have the money and the common sense not to go to five guys, go here.

Delicious burgers (and I know my burgers), great sides, excellent service, and even though we went in at a quieter time of day the atmosphere was really warm and welcoming. Highly recommend going here and we will be back.

My partner and I ate here tonight for the 1st time, and I can honestly say it's the best burger I've ever had! Full of flavour, quick service and the staff were very attentive and kind. We will definitely be coming back here in the near future, with the family.

I had the Gazza and my friend got their new curry lamb burger.. Absolutely incredible, everything you want in a burger 🙌. We also had wings which were delicious - suberb flavour 👌 dessert left us wanting but overall great meal! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back ☺️

If you're looking for a burger that beats Five Guys then Roddy burger is the place to go. Great service too. I'd recommend the Gaza, great combination of flavours and so juicy.

20 quid for a burger and fries and drink. It’s OK, but not worth that much. Burgers are small, too. Fries frozen and small portions. Service good. Shame.

Amazing full flavour sustainable ex diary beef. This place has some amazing burgers. I tried The Francaise - though it should be Les Francaise, that didn’t detract from the taste. They also have some good cocktail ideas, and a large range of beers. I was here in the car at Lunchtime so just stuck to Apple and rhubarb fizzy drinks. Also full of flavour. The menu is influenced by Korean and US street food. There is an overuse of the Seoul / Soul pun, but again, it’s all about the taste

Popped in very last minute for lunch today! We're not local and initially walked past to another venue only to turn back around for burgers! Food was delicious, we all had chicken sandwich variations, with super crispy fries and a side of our absolute fave crispy pickles with a dip that was out of this world! The kids loved their crunchie milkshakes too. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, we'll be back!

Great burgers, fabulous milkshakes, decent sides. Sustainable food as well with good veggie/vegan options, plus the beef is from dairy cows that have finished their working life.

We attended a 30th birthday a couple of months ago at Roddy’s and I enquired I about possibly hiring out the place for my 30th. It didn’t disappoint! Fantastic night! Roddy was so chilled and let us take over the place. We moved the tables, brought a range of games and had free rein with the music system. The drinks were flowing all night and the food was the icing on the cake. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a venue to cater a group of people. Roddy is so flexible with your needs and is happy to help. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a place to hold an event with no hassle!

Great variety of different choices burgers with variety of sides. Also several vegan and gluten-free options. Didn’t have dessert though as menu options were a little slim and was full from the burger already. Burgers were fresh and delicious 🤤👍🏻❤️

The burger was the best I have had anywhere and that's saying a lot! The pictures are very accurate and the food delicious. Definitely the best in Tunbridge Wells! We had a 1 year old with us and were delighted by the provision of changing facilities plus a baby seat, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely visit again and recommend others do the same.

We visited Roddy Burger last night for the burgers and bingo event as part of the Tunbridge Wells Fringe Festival! The food was absolutely delicious! Such juicy burgers and the Brisket Dirty Fries and milkshakes were something else!!! We had a great time and will definitely be coming back!!

Came here with a friend for lunch and was pleased we came. I had the “Oklahoma” with fries and some fried pickles, my friend had the veggie Mexicano. Fries are nice and crispy, portion size not too bad, and burgers were very yummy and well made. Service was absolutely superb, and I thought the free ice cream with the bill is a really nice touch. My only one criticism is that I think for the price the burgers could be ever so slightly bigger, perhaps a half-inch bigger diameter of patty and bun. I think then it would come off more aa value for money and give Five Guys a real bit of competition considering their portions are enormous. I still really like the place and enjoyed the food and service. Far, far better than Chuck and Blade up the road which was a hugely disappointing experience in comparison. Will definitely come again soon!

Always enjoyed the food from their pop ups and online delivery so looking forward to eating at their recently opened main restaurant in Camden Road soon! Delicious and filling burgers on their menu with a varied selection of additional accompaniments! Recommended!

Absolutely incredible burgers and hospitality. We stopped in as burger aficionados, and my word these burgers were phenomenal. Great quality ingredients, insane sides and good beers. Also amazing little gestures like the staff being so friendly and passionate about the food and baby changing table in the bathroom.

Went for dinner with my boyfriend and we both loved our burgers! We wanted to have a milkshake after our food but we were too full. Definitely will be coming back and hopefully next time we’ll have the milkshake! The girl serving us was very nice and gave us free ice cream when we asked for the bill.

This place has the edge over places like Five Guys as it doesn't feel like you're in a school canteen. Great, friendly service with engaging staff and good atmosphere. Staff are always willing to talk through the menu detailing the choices. Burger menu is compact, but still providing a wide choice of options. Drinks include a pukka choice of local ales alongside the usual suspects. Also give out colouring kits for the children - nice touch 👌🏻 Get yourself down there and support the independent shops 🤗🍔

My husband and I popped into Roddy Burgers on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, the burgers were bursting with flavours and the buffalo sauce on the wings were to die for. If we are ever in the area we will definitely stop in again. P.s staff were really welcoming too

We ordered a Gala burger, dirty fries, chicken wings and 2 x macaroni bites....food was great but we didnt get one of the macaroni bites and to take it back was going to be more aggro than it was worth. Shame because burger is lovely but i was missing £5.95 of macaroni

You tend to be served two beef patties and the burger is outstanding. My wife also said it was the best chicken burger she’s ever had. The staff are excellent as is the Sussex IPA - recommend

Had a mid-week meal with my daughter on a bitterly cold evening. Welcomed by a young server to a table and tucked into a huge milkshake and two burgers. Not the biggest you have ever seen but the quality overroad the quantity. The toppings were also imaginative and fresh. Buns, however, were boring. Sides included some fries, here again, somewhat average but some truly flintstonish onion rings. Superb. Place was busy with couples and young families. Ended the meal with gratis mini ice cream cones which were a nice touch. Service was excellent and polished by a young guy. The bill was not the cheapest in town but the ingredients and care that went into it were the cause. Will be back.

When we walked in we were the only ones and it was silent but atmosphere improved when we asked for some music and gradually it got busier A little pricey but guess that is everywhere at the moment!

We really enjoyed our trip to Roddy's burger, after having a burger at the Tonbridge Castle Mass we just had to go to the restaurant, the service was good and the food was as good as before, we'll certainly be returning.

We visited for food on Saturday. I had a Mexican veggie burger, the others had cheese burgers. We have heard excellent reviews but this was better than expected. The Man Named Roddy was not there. His spectacular deputies fulfilled their responsibilities with aplomb. The food was delicious. Why is that RingPullMan, The Man Named Roddy and Jay from the In Betweeners have never been seen in the same place at the same time? Puzzling. Our friend, TNT, holds the record here. This is a must visit for residents of Royal Tunbridge Wells!

My wife and I have been to Roddy’s a couple of times already, and we absolutely love it! The staff are so friendly and the ambience of the restaurant is so welcoming with a nice retro theme. We’ve had The Francais & The Americano burgers and they’re delicious, but the star is the Brisket Dirty Fries (it is legitimately one of the best things we’ve ever eaten). Sure it’s a bit pricey, but for the kind of food you’re getting, it’s absolutely worth it. We’ll be visiting again soon!

We had a family meal at Roddy burger in December. Food and service was great, best burger I’ve had for a long time. My daughter loves the decor and always wants to touch the lights. Especially like that they have crayons to keep children entertained and nappies & toiletry essentials etc in the bathroom. The baby ice creams that they give you at the end of your meal is a great touch. No other burger joint like it in Tunbridge wells.

Only one word to describe these burgers, Superb!! Roddy Burger ranks as my no.1 best burger I’ve ever had. Bravo! Fresh ingredients, juicy and extremely tasty burgers and great sides. Chips were great and their scotch bonnet side sauce is a must. Brilliant service from their staff, very welcoming and the mini ice cream when settling the bill is a lovely touch. It’s a must visit! Really fancied a burger for lunch and had been eyeing this place up on Google maps for a bit now, as I had the day to myself I thought I would go for it. Service to start off with was excellent, it's obvious that pride is taken in the work here. Good options for Korean inspired food, being a lover of Korean food I had to go for it. The chicken burger was delicious, and nice and crispy around the edges and had a lovely spicy sauce with it. The star of the show for me was the dirty Korean fries. The fries were exactly how I love them to be done, and the Korean style toppings really work with them. If you're reading the reviews you'll probably see you get a mini ice-cream with the bill. Never seen that done before and it is a lovely touch!

What can I say? Every single bite of this meal was exceptional! At one point everyone round the table was silent and just eating which to me is always a good sign of a great meal. I came here with some girlfriends and was made to feel so welcome. The chefs all have smiles on their faces and clearly love what they do in the kitchen and the front of house staff are friendly, hospitable and knowledgable of the menu/allergies. Highly recommend the French burger with extra cheese and the fried pickles are unreal!! Hands down for me the best burger in town!

Visited just before Christmas with my sister, brother in law and 4 year old nephew. Finding restaurants that have good quality food for adults that can also cater for children is always a task but Roddys nailed it! My nephew (who can at times be fussy) enjoyed every bite of his kids burger whilst using the colouring pencils and paper offered to keep him entertained. He was particularly impressed with free soft serve ice cream cone provided with the bill at the end :) Us adults were equally as impressed with the quality of the food, the taste & flavour and shared many items between us alongside a burger each. Mac and cheese balls, fried pickles and spicy wings, all incredibly tasty & delicious. Burger wise we had the Francais, the Kentucky and the special Calabrian - solid 10/10 all round! Really friendly staff and can’t wait to book and visit again :)

Went to Roddy burger last night with the girls and it was brilliant! The atmosphere is friendly and cool and for a small independently owned restaurant they’ve done a great job. You can tell they know what they’re doing and more importantly they love what they’re doing. The food is fantastic, a few of us had the Seoul burger which was spot on. The milkshakes should come with a warning, amazing! Highly recommend and will be returning very soon

The food was amazing the first time we ordered through deliveroo. This time we went in person and had an amazing dinner. The burgers were so juicy and tasty, the Mac and cheese bites with pickles onions on top of it was absolutely delicious. The fries was good, the Nuggets with katsu sauce was also good. We ended with some tiny ice creams which were also good. In total it was absolutely good

Absolutely delicious. Lovely staff too. seoul burger is hands down the tastiest chicken burger I’ve ever had. Beef burgers unreal too. I’m a bit of a fusspot and haven’t been blown away with the food offerings in TW in general so this is saying something 😁 the dirty brisket fries are dangerously delicious too. Very nice touch of the complimentary mini ice cream cones to finish off a meal. Very child friendly and very thoughtful having emergency nappies available at the baby changing area :) If I ever opened my own gourmet burger joint I would basically copy every aspect of roddyburger 🤣

Good quality food, Burgers were really tasty, Large portions of loaded fries with plenty of cheese - milkshakes were yummy... what's not to like! give this a try if you are in the area! I actually could not finish it all which is really unlike me! Staff were friendly and accommodating. All in all - fabulous!

The first burger a couple of weeks ago was good I have to say that, but tonight, halfway through it I had like a bunch of long brown hair mixed in. I tried to pull most of it out of my throat but was basically sick. Tried to call the number and just an answer phone. NEVER AGAIN!

Very tasty but quite pricey! A burger for £12 should come with chips included, not at a £5 premium. With the strong competition for burgers in the area not sure if I can recommend.

All the staff were welcoming and very helpful with my food allergies. Despite being very busy the waiter still took him time to chat and answer questions. The food was amazing. The burgers were tasty and the ingredients fresh. We went to the restaurant after it being recommended to us. We are glad we went and will be recommending to more people.

Had the Gazza Burger, all very tasty, really enjoyed the banana milkshake and great service from the manager. On reflection, I'm surprised you pay extra for fries considering the price of the burger, I also thought it would be larger when comparing to restaurants and pubs where you pay the same amount of money.
