4pm Saturday afternoon , no one in the pub but the drum and bass was pumping loudly. Met a friend there and moved on quickly after one drink , only ones there. Dont mind drum and base but not at 4 on a warm Saturday afternoon. Perhaps I’m old ! Not my cup of tea at all.

Be great if they brought back the happy hour. Pub looks the same but new staff . they never advertise the wifi password which is a bit frustrating. Staff were very friendly though. Still a great local pub to pop into.

Amazing experience having dinner at the Rocket! I’ve only ever had drinks there so it was lovely to try their Sunday roast plus dessert and it did not disappoint! I came with my dog and they spoiled her and were so accommodating, I will be returning 100% Thanks for having us 🫶🏽

I went on Easter Sunday to celebrate my sons 16th birthday with a large group of 20 people.The pub has a separate large dining area that can cater for big groups so this was ideal.The Sunday Roast was amazing and was just great value.The Roast ranged from £15-£19 and to get this price in London with such good quality food made this celebration affordable.The atmosphere was lovely with very friendly & helpful staff. We will be back !!

In summary, I had my birthday party here on Saturday. The staff were so kind, welcoming and charming, and they could not do enough for us. We were there from the afternoon until the evening, so we ended up having some food which we enjoyed very much. Another reviewer said that their chicken burger was dry and I did not have that experience at all. And I'm someone that rarely orders chicken when I'm out because of the amount of times I've had bad experiences with dry, bland chicken. I am happy to report that the chicken in my burger was well-seasoned, moist and succulent, and you could tell the meat was of good quality. I think it might even have been thigh meat, it was that moist, which was a rare pleasure in a chicken burger where you normally get served a piece of breast (and breast can so easily dry out)! Not the case here. My husband had a pork belly dish which he found to be delicious, so much so that he returned the following day to sample their roast dinner. My one note is that the draught beer was unpleasantly bitter and I could not finish either of the half pints I bought (and I opted for a different beer each time so it wasn't a question of my not liking the beer I'd chosen); maybe they need to have a look at their pumps or something. But otherwise, it was a PERFECT day. And once again, I would like to reiterate that the staff were charming. The guy that helped me over the phone and via text when I made the booking was so helpful and communicated well. He kept me abreast of changes and was keen to ensure I was happy with the space I had been given; he even sent me a picture. And when we got there on the day, they were so personable and kind. They create a really special atmosphere, those staff, and they deserve a lot of credit for that.

Sunday roast was fantastic, HUGE PORTIONS! I am stuffed! I had the roast chicken, which was delicious- however the real star of the show was the pork belly, which certainly filled the Mrs. Service was lovely too. Will roasting again with the rocket gang soon

Have been a few times in recent months and have enjoyed the outside space here and welcoming staff. Certainly is more welcoming than Station House with all the table service nonsense. The staff are nice and there is a good selection of well priced beer. Also was very handy for a drink near the station without having the admin issue of paying and leaving with a standard bar setup. One of the better pubs in the area :)

Popped in to what used to be my local 10yrs ago, and was blown away by the incredible service, delicious food (lamb skewers...yum), and great drinks. Can't remember the last time I've had such a good experience in London. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much 🙏🏽😋

Service is amazing and the food is unbelievable, beef chick croquettes are great, the best arancini in London and the lamb skewers were super tasty. To finish a couple of home made dessert, soo nice. Highly recommended for the real pub feel, great beer great food great staff

Celebrated my son's birthday at this lovely pub- a great experience! The food is sumptuous and the staff are very friendly. It's a great place for private events or even just a Sunday roast brunch. We are regulars here and the great food and service keep us going back to the Rocket. It's a rare gem in Acton. Highly recommend it!

This place has been an absolute surprise experience! They really look after you that you feel like you are in a home! I thought I was going to be here for an hour but ended up being there for 4 hours! I learnt a lot about Eastern European culture and politics, felt loved, had a heart warming meal, and the best hospitality ever! I suggest you come here if you want some TLC! This place sure does have it! Not only that but also a great sense of humour! ❤️

Ordered a portion of fish and chips and I’ve received a very small portion of fish(not even half fish) with very few chips(I could count them easily).I wanted to ask the lady who brought the food to the table if this is a full portion of fish and chips and she pretended that she didn’t hear the question and walked away.Very disappointed about the service and will not return here for sure!!

This pub has a very funky interior and exterior! Staff were friendly and attentive, clearing away empty glasses etc quickly. Good selection of beers and wine, didn’t try the food. Has a nice small beer garden.

The three stars are for the food. The mezze platter was tasty and it showed an attention to detail from the kitchen with toasted/slightly shared bread, wonderful combinations of mushroom, garlic and olives in one dish and spotless plating. Really, really pleasant. The pork belly was also prepared very well. We were a party of five and I had no idea that there was a house disco planned for the evening. Our booking was meant to be a pub dinner with chats and catch ups. Our table was in front of the stage basically and the sound test was deafening. After we asked they did turn it down a bit but the mind numbing thumb in the background was head ache inducing so we cut the evening short. We should have been asked/offered a table straight away in the other, quiet dining room. Bye the time the noise started we had a table full of food and drinks. Like most places at the moment they were short staffed too. We served the drinks ourselves which was not a big deal at all but to constantly be told that ‘we are short staffed’ when we called to order more drinks was unnecessary and transferred the stress and low mood on us. We didn’t complain about the service or things being forgotten, were just told repeatedly ‘we are short staffed.’ With a bit of thinking and foresight by the staff we could have had a much better experience and this would have been a 4 or 5 star review. We certainly did not look like a group that would have been there for the house disco! :) A simple question if the loud music would be ok or if we preferred to sit in the quiet back would have enhanced our evening immensely. I live at the other side of the park. It’s been since before covid I’ve been to the rocket. I booked it for me and my friends on the strength of the local good word of mouth for the food. That didn’t disappoint but the over all customer awareness and experience was a let down. Please take this as constructive criticism. The food deserves a front of the house to match.

Great overall! We are very impressed Brilliant ambience and decoration. Great portions and taste! Really satisfying pub food with a twist! We loved the calamari + tartar sauce, marinated olives, fried halloumi fingers, pork belly and beef/ale/mushroom pie). We will definitely return and take our guests there to show off our local pub :)

Had @socialsbymax Sunday Lunch. Beef and Veg which was nice. My friend had small plates and enjoyed all. Staff attentive and polite and I the pub clean well kept. I booked my table but the place was pretty much quiet early- mid afternoon. I will defintley go back. I just felt the name 'social' may have given me a more lively rambunctious expectation. No mistake it was a dining pleasure all the same. Spent £32 for 1 course and 2 mojitos.

Had dinner here tonight and it was AMAZING. My kids are fussy eaters but they finished their plates off. All the sharing dishes were delicious and the chips were out of this world! Brilliant service and food. Definitely worth a visit

What amazing food!! We had the sharing plates and the grilled prawns were just perfect as was the gazpacho absolutely refreshingly great in the weather we had last weekend. We will definitely be back for more…

Spritzers were really tasty and half price for Happy Hour, service was really good and quick. However i was very dissapointed with the burger and chip! Paid £15 for a dry burger and greasy burnt chips.

Poor customer service. We are all aware of the problems COVID causes. To accept a walk in saying yes we have a table & then 10 minutes later once we had spent our money settled in with our drinks to say we now need to leave as the table was needed people had arrived is totally unacceptable. Will not be going back for quite a while 😠 if ever

Social By Max has taken The Rocket's food to the next level! Everything is so fresh and tasty. We visited last week on Friday to try the fish and chips - perfect batter and absolutely delicious triple cooked chips. The lemon ganache for desert was sensational and I would encourage any visitor to The Rocket to try one even if you are only going for a drink. The attention to detail and quality of ingredients used by Max and his team make eating at The Rocket a real treat. I want to try Tbone night next.

This place got way better over the last few months and it's now very different from before the pandemic. They seem to have new kitchen staff as the food menu shows quite a big range of appetizers and courses. I particularly loved the burgers as the buns look amazing and seem to have a fragrance all of their own. Every ingredient is clearly recognizable. The beef tastes like beef, the pork tastes like pork and the chips are fresh and never burned. Acton and Churchfield Road really deserve such a nice place.

Max and Sofia were fantastic meat was superb, 4 stars only because the room where we had our food was too dark I couldn't see what I was eating. Staff very friendly and professional.
