Buena comida, personal agradable, ambiente encantador. Una gran noche.

I visited on my third evening and I should have visited earlier. I had the best fillet steak I've ever eaten! I was staying at the Hilton Doubletrees where the food is not very good. Dante is well worth a visit. Great food, great wine!

I had read about Dante on Tripadvisor but was not aware that it was within walking distance of the hotel. We had lunch there. I ordered a Margherita pizza and my friend had a scrumptious looking bowl of pasta with pomodoro sauce. We dined there on a Saturday and it was not that busy. Food was excellent !

Small restaurant, but with a really good choice on the menu, we arrived at 7pm and it was pretty empty, the owner (I assume) greeted us, he seems quite surly, but the 3 waitress's all seemed really nice and made it a good experience, both starters were tasty and well presented for main courses I had a fillet steak that I cooked myself on a hot stone at the table, great if you are fussy on his your steak should be cooked, my wife had ham shank, and in her words, it was so tasty and and just fell if the bone.By 8pm the place was nearly full and had a good warm atmosphere.

I ate here twice and had Veal with a mushroom sauce and he medley of vegetables, It was to die for actually and reasonably priced at £14. I like quality and I will pay for it. My friend had the Carbonara and she was over the moon with it. Definitely worth a visit as has some thing for everyone.

An okay Italian at very reasonable price opposite Ealing Common underground station. The pasta was done just right but the Carbonara overall was disappointing, with very runny cream sauce that didn't blend with the pasta and bits of processed ham rather than fried ham lardons.Certainly not gourmet, but fine for a quick bite if you are hungry.Attractive décor and friendly service.

This does not pretend to be a 'destination restaurant', only locals eat here. It is supposedly Italian but the owner is Eastern European and so are the charming girls who serve. When you greet them with 'bongiorno' they look blank. The decor is dark and Italianate with red tiled floor and rough white walls, and repro renaissance drawing on the walls, including some Sistine ceiling studies. The food is good. The menu is ambitiously long, but reliable with excellent pasta and sauces and thin pizzas. A new feature is a filet steak cooked on a hot stone at the table. I prefer the excellent grilled lamb chops with 'a medley' of al dente vegetables. The house wine is entirely adequate. The owner is a pleasant and amusing chap and always lets you sit where you want. I find it annoying when there are spare tables for four but the patron insists you sit on a poky table if you're a couple. If you find yourself near Ealing Common and don't want to spend silly money at the Hilton, and fancy a welcoming cosy place with a versatile menu, then this is it. The Eastern European flavour is prominent in this row of shops, there are Serbian, Macedonian and Montenegrin restaurants, a Bulgarian grocer and an Albanian barber. Acton is as diverse and inclusive as any neighbourhood in London, and on most nights you could brush up your Serbo-Croat with the diners at the next table in Dante.

We're one of the many local families who visit Dantes regularly. Do not come here for Michelin starred food and service, but do come for a good night out for an early meal when you're too tired to cook at the end of the week. Children hugely welcome, and it's good hearty food in generous portions, served very quickly. Very good value. The owner Var is a character, and I can imagine him shutting up shop early (as per some of the complaints) because they're so busy during the early evening, but he's always charming to us. We go there for all family birthdays and the touch of bringing out a small cake and candle is always appreciated. Knocks a well known chicken n' chips chain, opposite Dantes, into a cocked hat.

After reading the reviews, decided to try this restaurant and I totally regret it. The food was nice but I am shocked at the service and the owners attitude! The website and the closing time on the restaurant's door says 11pm closing but we were kicked out at 10pm. We were not asked if we wanted dessert or tea/coffee, the waitress just landed the bill on our table. We were rushed to finish our glass of wine (which I ended up leaving as couldn't drink it fast!). We asked the owner what time they close and he rudely answered 10pm. We nicely stated the website and the door says 11pm and the owner said 'Im not going to answer you' and walked away!! I am extremely upset and I can't imagine ever going back!

I held my "retirement lunch" here for 13 people. We ordered a variety of starters, pasta, pizza and salads for mains and a few deserts. Everyone enjoyed their meal and commented afterwards how good it was. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere for a lunchtime opening was good. It seems a great shame that I only discovered it upon my retirement. They have a very good website with lots of pictures and a virtual walkabout inside the restaurant. All for under £30 a head including drinks. Brilliant; couldn't ask for more.

Very authentic, the menu looked just like one from Italy, and the proprietor appeared to be from Italy as well. Prices were good, atmosphere was very "Italian", and food was good and served in a decent amount of time. Just a block from the Ealing Common station, very easy to walk to and from. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the area craving good Italian food and atmosphere.

We booked on the recommendations from other trip adviser customers. Emailed the restaurant to book and advised them it was for our children's birthdays asking if we could have a nice table. Very promptly received confirmation back from them. Typical italian restaurant with a lovely cosy atmosphere and full of diners. We were served quickly, lovely staff, lovely hot food and the house wine was very reasonable. To our surprise after we had nicely finished our mains, the lights dimmed and the manager brought over a chocoalte cake with two candles and everyone sang 'happy birthday'. What a nice gesture to say we weren't locals, It made our son's birthday as it was actually that day and our daughter's a couple of days later. Thank you Dante, we know where to come next time we visit London.

The messages/comments on their own website are clearly filtered.Theres no doubt the food is tasty, but nothing that you can't get elsewhere. But the service is terrible. Plus they advertise as closing at 11pm, but the number of times I've been turned away at 10.15 cos "we're quiet so want to go home" is ridiculous. Sometimes after a hard day, you drive a few miles to eat, thinking you still have an hour or so, and they just don't need your business

I took my daughter and two grandchildren (11 & 5) here for a pizza at the weekend. Service, though attentive, was a tad slow given that the restaurant was not busy, however the pizzas when they came were uniformly excellent, and rather larger than similarly priced pizzas served by a well-known national pizza brand that is represented elsewhere in Ealing. For a cheap, filling, meal, it's a great place to eat - we'll certainly be trying it again.

After some decorating we were tired and just wanted looking after and feeding. My escalope of veal Milanese was pure comfort food. Delicious al dente spaghetti and a lovely breaded escalope. Four of us went for a late night meal on Sunday night. The food was spot on and the service attentive. Just one little gripe. The restaurant closes at 10.30 on a Sunday and we were still eating at 10.15. It looked busy but this meant little. The service was flat with no personality, the chairs uncomfortable and the table by the door in a draft. £8.95 for 4 king prawns in olive oil and garlic was just. It justified in the care taken on preparing them. Tasteless Brucheta and average main courses did not save the day. Shame as the competition did not look good and nearby Nandos was packed, they could be cleaning up, lazy London restaurant managing.

Arranged to meet a friend at Ealing Common, and my intent, given that she is Greek, was to try the Lantern Taverna. Found to my horror that it does not open Saturday lunchtime.I had previously tried to eat at Dante's a month previously but had a problem as (another) friend was on a timetable and needed a swift meal and this restaurant which I had planned did not open 15 minutes after its stated time, so we ended up at the Nando's- yuk).Arriving today and discovering that the Greek restaurant would not open on Saturday lunchtime, and realising that they claimed to close at 2 when my friend would not arrive until 1.30 I would be in trouble, but the manager reassured me.We both had grilled sardines as starter and different pasta dishes as main course. My friend commented that her pasta was beautifully al dente, and mine was also. To cut a long story short, the food was amazing, the service leisurely. Despite a very unpromising start I am more enthusiastic about this place than any I have been to in a long time. Excellent.

The service has always been very friendly too. It really is a good old fashioned family ristorante in service and ambience. It just has a lovely feel about it. For wine the house red is certainly good for a few carafes. The white, you're better off going for the pinot as the house is slightly sweet.Overall, a really good meal and our favourite restaurant in Ealing.

Have eaten here several times as we enjoy the food a lot. Replacing the Lebanese(?) eatery that used to have this location, Lura serves up Italian food. So far everything I tried is great. Lura's chicken caesar salad is maybe the best I have eaten and that tends to be what we always eat now that the weather is hot. I enjoy that with a glass or two of chilled Prosecco. We must eat at weird times as they place always seems empty. But, perhaps it's much more busy in the evening when they have live music downstairs. A comfortable, cool place to watch folks pass by on Uxbridge Road.

Lovely food, enjoyed the ravioli. However the whole restaurant experience was intense our waiter Innes was very lovely and we had no issues however it was clear that the management was not satisfied with something as the manager kept interrupting our dinner 5 times with making sure we were okay but there was no need to check on us when we’re fine with our waiter , during all time eating it was very uncomfortable to be interrupted so many times also the atmosphere was clear of micro managing where the manager interrupted my conversation with the waiter when I asked for the ash tray to distract with other work duties at the same time during dinner always felt watched by management if customers can feel it you can just imagine how staff are treated there , food was nice but wouldn’t go back as there is toxic work environment and unpleasant atmosphere.
