Carluccios - Waterloo in Ealing

Good location as only 2-3 minutes walk to Waterloo station, about 10 minutes walk to Westminster Bridge and 20 minutes to Trafalgar Square!

Great location close to Waterloo station and many city buses. Top of the line customer service. Good for famililes and serves great breakfast. Very close walking distance to Big Ben , parliament and 30 min walk to SOHO. Would stay again.

Quality, cleanliness, good food and good location, the main thing to be comfortable on your vacation, I will repeat!

hotel ok. room ok. clean. noise in room from corridor and other rooms. breakfast is mayhem.

Don't believe the app. It said we had a fridge but only the premium rooms have them. I showed a screenshot to them. They were willing to move us to another room the next but we were already settled and had plans so we declined. Beds are so so. Staff was friendly. Great central location.

The hotel is centrally located about 300m from Waterloo train station. You can walk to Big Ben or the London Eye in 10-15 minutes. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel. The rooms are cleaned every day and the breakfast is also ok. We will definitely book the hotel again on our next stay in London.

Great stay. Staff were nice and welcoming, rooms were kept clean and no issues regarding anything that we used. Breakfast was delicious and overall the location was great with it being just south of Waterloo station with easy Tube access.

I love the location. It's in the heart of Central London. The staff are exceptional professionals the rooms are phenomenal. One of the best by Hilton.

We had a great stay here. Location is great for walking to the train station, The Eye, war museum. Food and bar were great. Breakfast top notch. Rooms clean and comfortable. Front desk not overly helpful of cheery.

My first time eating there and was very impressed with the service and quality of the food. I didn't appreciate the service charge though.

Can't fault the location and view from our family room. Breakfast was great and staff very attentive. Room was a good size, although the beds are probably at the end of their life, mattress very springy.

Net hotel en goed verzorgd ontbijt. Op loopafstand van het centrum en dicht bij Waterloo station (trein en metro). De bushalte is nagenoeg voor de deur.

Room wasn't large but comfortable enough for a couple of nights, everything you need is there and, most important, it was well insulated from outside noise. Nothing to complain about the breakfast buffet.

Très bon hôtel bien situé. Je suis allée a Londres en décembre, l'emplacement de l'hôtel est central : 15 minutes à pieds du London Eye et 2 minutes à pieds de la station de train/métro ce qui fait qu'on peut aisément visiter le centre de Londres. Hôtel très propre et bon service. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est vraiment super : il y en a pour tous les goûts. Excellents points pour l'appareil à gaufres.

Hotel ótimo! Café da manhã completo e delicioso com muitas opções, quarto bem equipado com tv, frigobar, chuveiro top, cama grande e confortável. A localização do hotel é ótima também. Próximo a estação Waterloo e ponto de ônibus na frente do hotel. Apenas a vista do meu quarto que deixou a desejar pois estava frente ao outro prédio, mas isso foi irrelevante para a minha estadia.

Super Hotel. Waren dort 3 Nächte untergebracht für einen kleinen London Trip. Die nähe zur Haltestelle Waterloo machte es super einfach, mit der U-Bahn überall hin zu fahren. Unser Zimmer war super sauber. Frühstück war lecker und der Service der Mitarbeiter war sehr zuvorkommend. Würde beim nächsten mal wieder kommen.

Aufgrund einer Fehlbuchung unsererseits waren wir früher da als gebucht. Wir wurden allerdings nicht auf die Straße gesetzt, sondern bekamen eine Alternative angeboten und durften somit im Hotel bleiben. Von Zimmer 821 hatten wir einen wunderbaren Blick, auch auf das London Eye. Die Silvesternacht und das Feuerwerk ließen sich daher warm und trocken vom Zimmer aus genießen. Wir haben für einen UK-EU Adapter 5£ bezahlt, was günstiger war, als die Alternativen am Flughafen oder in den Markets. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Fitnessraum, welcher zwar klein aber dafür modern und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet ist, was man braucht (keine Langhanteln).

Great stay, got a really good view of the London eye from the 8th floor.

If we didn’t come across the not so friendly staff when we tried to checked in at 1pm. I will give it 5 stars.

Great rooms, kind staff. No laundry, internet very poor with downloads (only 1.5MB) but decent with uploads (20MB).

A quite shocking experience. My husband ordered a special lobster pasta with samphire. When he enquired why it was missing, neither the waitress or manager knew what Samphire was. The manager even tried to suggest it was a powder that was used to flavour the pasta !! And after checking said that the operational procedure for this dish did not include anything about samphire being part of the dish. I ordered a caprese salad which was frankly tasteless with tomatoes with no flavour and a dish which was under seasoned. This is cooking by numbers with no care given whatsoever. We will not be returning.

Went into Carluccio’s for a quick bite. I asked for the Panettone which is on the breakfast menu which is delicious. I asked if it could be straight and not toasted as it is on the menu) toasted kills the flavour). . I got presented with this mini Panettone complete in its plastic wrapping. I go to various Carluccio’s regularly and when I ask for the Panettone I have NEVER been given it in its plastic wrapping before.

After over 2 hours on a train a very welcome team greeted us for a birthday breakfast. Excellent food, well cooked and hot....together with two surprise glasses of Prosecco at 9.30 am....a super start to a great day.

No fuimos capaces ni de tomar postre. El servicio muy amable y amigable. Los precios de los platos no llegan a 20€, están bastante bien, lo único que nos pareció caro fueron las bebidas. Pero en general muy contentos.

Necesitábamos encontrar un lugar para comer antes de tomar un tren. Carluccio apareció en los mapas de Google y decidimos probarlo.El menú vegano, incluido el budín, fue inesperado y realmente bueno. El queso azul vegano era bueno y la pasta excelente.El servicio fue muy bueno desde que nos encontraron una mesa hasta recibir nuestra factura con tiempo suficiente. Gracias a Pierpaolo por ser un excelente camarero.Definitivamente iré allí de nuevo.

Tenía dudas acerca de Carluccio después de una mala experiencia, pero les agradezco en Waterloo que sirvan un desayuno durante todo el día (en lugar de lo que piensas).Fue fantástico, realmente fresco y sabroso. Tuve verduras y mi amigo tenía regular y fue muy agradable. ¡Definitivamente recomiendo este lugar si vas a tomar un tren!

Myself and a couple of friends had a starter each and had a drink last night and two of us have come down with a stomach bug today. I only had some focaccia and my friend had mushrooms on bruschetta, not really the type of thing to expect could make you unwell but questions what the hygiene standards are like.

I was v diappointed to see how badly trained and careless the staff were at the branch at St Christopher’s Place. It took us 20 minutes from the order to get our drinks, and the staff, including the floor manager, gave every impression of not caring for the client. The food was all right. Dissapointing, as my local branch is a completely diffrent story,

Brother and I with Aunty, my daughter and boyfriend for Sunday lunch. Strangely not very busy for a 1pm booking. Service was prompt and staff were friendly. We all shared mixed olives and garlic focaccia for starters. We all had different mains - I had the Pollo Ai Funghi which was excellent. Everyone else enjoyed their dishes. Prices were reasonable although we didn't order any wine so I can't comment on that. Overall a very pleasant lunch.

Easy and simple entry with plenty of tables with power sockets, lots of light, and the ability to have a quiet conversation without everyone sat on your knees.

My expectations of food outlets at London termini are extremely low. But this week I found myself at Waterloo with 40 minutes to spare before a 14.20 departure for a 2 hour journey and I had not eaten since a light breakfast. So I explored the relatively new balcony above the platforms, and happened across a branch of Carluccios there.

Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes, gemütliches Lokal, das man so nicht direkt in einem Bahnhof erwarten würde. Das Carluccios hat mit der klassischen Bahnhofsgaststätte zum Glück wirklich nichts gemeinsam, man merkt drinnen gar nicht, dass man sich direkt oberhalb der Gleise befindet. Sehr freundliche und authentische Bedienung, auch das ansprechende Speisen Angebot konnte überzeugen. Leider war an diesem späten Sonntag Abend bereits recht viel ausverkauft, wofür wir natürlich Verständnis hatten. Schade hingegen, dass bei einem der verbliebenen Gericht dann noch Bestandteile fehlten, worauf wir vorher nicht hingewiesen wurden. Geschmacklich, optisch und qualitativ richtig gut. Preise für Londoner Verhältnisse vergleichsweise günstig. Alles in allem absolut empfehlenswert.

Went to Carluccios with friends for dinner. I ordered the Focaccia starter, chicken milanese for main, with a side of garlic potatoes, followed by coffee affogato. The food was cooked to perfection & the service impeccable. A super restaurant location, which bodes well when you need to get your train home as well :)

I ordered crab&langoustine; fettucce. I didn't find any sign of crabs. They put some crackers instead. But it was delicious anyway

Service was absolutely terrible.. In the end, we didn't order food, because 2 coffees took an hour. Yes it was busy, but the staff just had their heads down, and it was almost impossible to flag them down

I tend to meet up with old school friends here for a reunion lunch a couple of times a year. The service and atmosphere are always great. The food is generally good, but the value for money is only so-so. I appreciate that the rates for a station restaurant must be high, but the Carluccio's voucher 'deals' and set menus generally do not apply to Waterloo, which is a bit of a downer.

Twelve baby salad leaves,1 sliced baked peach, 1 torn slice of mozzarella, half a dozen hazelnuts, half a slice of prosciutto torn in two. This was a main course & I did not taste any balsamic dressing so.....??? I guess the special was it was spread across the plate to look like you wouldn’t be hungry!!!!!

We were on our way across London from north to south to catch a train to the south coast and I earmarked Carluccios in Waterloo Station as the place for lunch. It is a modern bright and airy restaurant with outside seating on the mezzanine of the station. The seating staff were very welcoming and helpful, but then we had to wait ages to give our order which came alarmingly quickly! The 'free' children's starter didn't materialise and when we asked for some bread and oil it took so long to come that the spaghetti for my granddaughter was cold by the time it came. My meal was ok - nothing spectacular and when it says hazelnuts on the menu I do expect more than four! My partner's lasagne wasn't very hot and had clearly been pre-cooked and reheated. Most staff were very nice and friendly, but some chatted by the service station rather than checked on the diners. The loos were ok and everywhere was very clean. I wished I gone to the kitchen next door though, so I don't think I'll be going back.

We dropped by for coffee. When it arrived it was the smallest cappuccino I have ever seen, and not cheap. I asked the waiter about wifi and he said it didn't work well on the balcony, so I went inside. Still no internet. When I asked again they just shrugged their shoulders and said it wasn't working. Slap-dash don't-care management.

Aim of our day in London was to hit a few Exhibitions at both Tates Britain and Modern. Unfortunately chaotic travel with delays on both journeys put us in a poor frame of mind.

My partner and I had a simple lunch of chicken Milanese and spinach and ricotta ravioli accompanied by a fresh orange juice and a beer respectively, followed by espressos. The food was excellent, the service impeccable and the ambience and décor pleasant and relaxing. The bill with tip came to £40. We could have eaten more cheaply elsewhere before going on to an exhibition at the Royal Academy, but it turned the day into a real treat.

On a warm evening, this place was convenient for a light meal before heading home. Service was nicely paced, and the antipasto starter was really good, as well as attractive to look at. The tonno e fagioli was fine, but less attractive. Cider was Italian, a rather bland offering.

Nunca había estado en Carluccio's y luego fui a la de la estación de Waterloo dos veces en el espacio de 2 días. Me sorprendió lo grande que era el restaurante y la decoración es moderna. Hubo un verdadero zumbido cuando fui a la hora del almuerzo y cuando fui a cenar, la iluminación era tenue y tenía un ambiente agradable y relajado.

My family of six wanted a drink and snack before we caught a train. The service was slow and some of our party had to chase up our order. Certain items on the menu were unavailable. When the order came, it was fine but people with a train to catch get concerned if the time between placing a basic order and it arriving at the table exceeds fifteen minutes.

We visited carluccios this evening & were served by Angela. She was an amazing waitress- attentive, knowledgeable, fun & able to give us a fun experience at this very tasty restaurant.

Stopped by to celebrate with colleagues after a great day at work. Right from the start we were made welcome and felt at home. We were served by the amazing Angela who was witty, knowledgeable, warm and friendly - she gives the restaurant such a warm and authentic feel. The food was lovely and the wine good.

Had a lovely business lunch at this Carluccio's. Angela was a great server and gave us excellent recommendtions for what to order.

Stopped here on the way through Waterloo, for a quick meal. We were served quickly and efficiently, even though it was a busy early Saturday evening. Food was good value and the service by Angela was excellent.

Despite the hustle and bustle of a busy station inside Carluccio's at Waterloo station is an oasis of calm while travelling. I was seated promptly & Angela's service was friendly, very efficient & made me feel well looked after, even when I had a complain about my dessert she dealt with it smoothly & resolved the problem. Food was good but service exemplary!

No better place to stop while awaiting a train from Waterloo. Angela couldn’t be kinder and the seafood linguini was worthy of compliments to the fine polish chef. Highly recommended...

What a lovely place to have a meal while in transit. Coffee is amazing and the pasta cooked to perfection. Loved the atmosphere and staff. A warm welcome and a great and friendly service. It was my first time here but I will deffinitely visit as often as possible. The orechetti verdi were so tasty and the portion incredibly big. Great value for the money..if ever in Waterloo station stop by even if only for a coffee and a nutella croissant!

We had just gotten off the train from Warwick Castle and we were hungry for something different. We walked around Waterloo Station and found Carluccios. My wife loved her risotto and the calamari appetiser. My steak was excellent and was the best cooked piece of beef I ate in the UK in nine days.

Stopped for a bite to eat and was stunned to how good the food and service is! My waitesss was hollie and she was fabulous!

Always love stopping at Carluccios anywhere, anytime. This time we had to wait for out train at Waterloo Station so we had a break at Carluccios. The staff are attentive and really want to please. the coffee is good and we had toasted Panetone...fabulous. We had a meal here on our return journey and it was perfect, fresh, tasty and a little part of Italy is with you. Best place at the station for a wait, drink, snack or meal.

Beautiful place for a lunch with friends for some Italian food and I was really happy because we found a beautiful waitress(Angela),she was very kind with us, I was really happy about the service because me and my friends we work for restaurant and hotels and the service Angela gives to us was perfect

We visited early evening of 30 March for the 3 course Mother's Day special. The food was fantastic, the steaks were cooked to perfection and Paolo and Marzio couldn't have been more helpful. A very enjoyable experience.

It doesn't matter how busy this place gets (and it does being in the train station), the staff always try and accommodate you and the food service is quick! Delicious, authentic and varied, seasonal menus, make this great if you're in a rush or equally fancy a meal with kids (where they don't have to wait long to eat)! Bellissimo!

Had a lovely meal with freinds here, had the tomato brucheta which just looked amazing the seabass was wonderful and the plum tart was superb. Service was great even though we had some late comers to are group. Only thing was our table was near the middle doors which was drafty and gave a chill each time otherwise it was a wonderful evening.

With an hour or so before my train, I had a late breakfast/brunch here. Perfect, to sit out on the balcony with a view of the departure boards. It was a cold morning, but the sun was shining and I was warm enough.

I sometimes stop here after work on my way home. The food is always very tasty and the service is great. Special thanks to Angela for being so nice and attentive!

A friend and I visited this restaurant following a very long and stressful train journey. We arrived and were taken to a table. After a while of choosing our food we asked a waitress to come over- she ignored us and never came back. A quiet and quite frankly rude man walked over and took the order. The waiting time was long, we weren’t aware that the food had to be re cooked, I overheard this from the kitchen. So it took even longer to come to us. A man came over and offered us a glass of procesecco, when really I was just starving!! The food looked nice but it was not good. Someone obviously had an accident with the pepper shaker. Not nice food at all. Eventually we payed the bill after it was thrown on the table. I would avoid this place!!

Quick service as soon as I walked through the door despite it being 6pm and completely full. I opted for a table outside instead of waiting for a table to clear inside and service was as quick as any restaurant I have been in. Very pleasent atmosphere.

Food was very good. Lovely atmosphere. The main memory was being treated to the excellent, ebullient service of Angela. Great recommendation of the main meal and a joyful accompaniment to a very enjoyable experience.

Had a catch up with friends at the bar and decided to eat here. All the staff were fantastic. We had drinks in the bar and the barman/server was very attentive. The lady who showed us to our table was lovely. Our waitress was Angela. Angela is a wonderful hostess, very personable, friendly, smiley! Every restaurant should have a host like this! Thank you.

Food was lovely, my 11 and 10 year old cleared their plates (normally fussy eaters). The staff were really nice and helpful, in particular would like to say a big thank you to Angela, she was so happy, smiley and lovely chatting with my girls. Would recommend.

I have been so impressed by my recent visit to Carluccios. From Isabel who sorted out our table to Angela who was the most lovely and engaging waitress. Angela is a real benefit to the organisation.

Waterloo can be stressful on a weekday evening rush hour, but Carluccios is quiet enough to get a bit of a break from all the madness. Service was fast and efficient, the menu the usual options - pricing was a little on the steeper side (but aware that is a general criticism of the chain but especially at a station branch).

We visited at lunchtime and had pre booked the day before but they didn’t seem to have us on their list. But, regardless we were found a table promptly, it was busy and so I’d definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. We thought the service was efficient and friendly but were a little disappointed by the food - I chose the portobello stuffed mushroom but found it a bit bland and served with too much polenta, so I wished I had picked the mushroom risotto instead. My husband had carbonara and thought it was ok but on the salty side.

Having had afternoon tea earlier in the day it was time for dinner before heading home, Carluccios is conveniently situated on the balcony in Waterloo Station, ideal for checking train departure times.

Visited this restaurant for lunch before going to see a play at County Hall.
